He was married firstly from 1946 to 1971 to Susan Mary Winn, and since 1972 to Elizabeth Anne Marie Mallon. He was married since 1970 to Brenda Maud Brown and is also survived by a son, Flavio. Moyra Eileen Smiley, née Montagu-Douglas-Scott, died on 4 February.

 

[She was born on 15 March 1919, daughter of Lord Francis Montagu-Douglas-Scott and of Lady Eileen Elliot. In 1942 she married Hugo Douglas Tweedie (k.a.Apr 1945). The Duchesse de Decazes, née Solange Rose Lucie du Temple de Rougemont, died on 2 January. Her husband, Elie, 5th Duc de Decazes et Glucksbierg, died on 17 March. [He was born at Cape Town on 3 Paril 1919, son of Charles Alfred Euston FitzRoy (1892-1970), who succeeded his cousin in 1936 as 10th Duke of Grafton, and of his first wife, Lady Doreen Buxton. Since 1946 he had been married to Ann Fortune Smith. He is survived by her and by four of their five children. Rodolphe (of the barons) Verhaegen and his wife née Stephania ter Hark (daughter of Eric ter Hark and of his wife née comtesse Marie-Christine d’Ursel) have a daughter, Joséphine born on 2 January. (added 14 Jan 2011)

 

Count Grégory d’Ursel (son of Count Aurian d’Ursel and of his wife née baronne Marie-Christine de Broqueville) will marry Astrid Delacroix (daughter of Géry Delacroix and of his wife née Myriam (of the barons) Rolin) at Mélin on 26 February 2011. (added 14 Jan 2011)

 

Countess Ferdinand d’Ursel, née Monique de Kerchove d’Exaerde Borluut, died on 28 January at Etterbeek. She had been born at Wuestwezel on 24 September 1916, and married in 1942 Count Ferdinand d’Ursel (1913-1999). (added 1 Feb 2011)

 

Countess Louis Cornet d’Elzius, née Comtesse Colette d’Ursel (b.1934, daughter of Count Gérard d’Ursel and of his wife née baronne Anne-Marie de Pitteurs de Budingen), died on 5 May 2011. Since 1960 she had been married to the late Count Louis Cornet d’Elzius, son of Count John Cornet d’Elzius du Chenoy de Wal and of his wife née comtesse Cécile d’Oultremont. (added 7 May 2011)

 

Count Charles d’Ursel (b.1921, son of Count Louis d’Ursel and of his wife née Geneviève le Peletier de Rosanbo) died on 5 June. Since 1950 he had been married to baronne Marguerite Guillaume (daughter of baron Paul Guillaume and of his wife née donna Agata Imperiali dei principi de Francavilla) and is survived by her and their six children. Aurélien (of the barons) Janssens de Bisthoven and his wife, née Comtesse Evelyne d’Ursel, had their second child, Rosalie, on 30 May. (added 15 Jun 2011)

 

Comtesse Isabelle d’Ursel (daughter of count Augustin d’Ursel de Bousies and of his wife née baronne Marie [of the counts] Greindl) will marry Melchior Schöller (son of  Philippe Schöller and of his wife née Marie-Laure de Barry) on 3 September at Oosterzele. (added 17 Jun 2011)
