(1929-1968), and secondly, in 1971, to Princess Anna Gabrielle von Wrede. He is survived by her, four children, and fifteen

Carlos Hugo, Duke of
Parma and Piacenza, died at Barcelona on 18 August.
[He was born at Paris on 8 April 1930, son of Prince Francis
Xavier of Bourbon-Parma (who succeeded his nephew as Duke of Parma and Piacenza in 1974) and of Madeleine
de Bourbon-Busset. He succeeded his father in 1977.
He was married from 1964 to 1981 to Princess Irene of the Netherlands
(daughter of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands
and of Prince Bernhard zur Lippe).
He is survived by their four children and two grandchildren. The elder son,
Carlos Xavier, succeeds as Duke of Parma and Piacenza,
and he married on 12 June at Wijk bij
Duurstede, Netherlands, Annemarie Gualthérie
van Weezel in a civil ceremony; their religious
wedding was scheduled for 28 August but was postponed because of his father’s
death. The new Duke of Parma’s
religious wedding was held at Abbey of La Cambre, Brussels
