ARENBERG

The Marquise de Vogüé, née Geneviève de Thomasson, died at Paris on 27 February.

[She was born at Paris on 6 November 1926, daughter of Paul de Thomasson and of his wife, née Thérèse Thureau-Dangin. Since 1947 she had been married to Pierre, Marquis de Vogüé (son of Melchior, Marquis de Vogüé [himself the son of Louis, Marquis de Vogüé, and of his wife, Princess and Duchess Louise d’Arenberg] and of his wife, née Geneviève Brincard). AUERSPERG

Mrs Eleonore Barber, née Princess von Auersperg, died at Vienna on 29 July.

[She was born at Friedland on 29 January 1924, daughter of Prince Eduard von Auersperg and of his wife, née Sophie Gräfin von Clam und Gallas. In 1953 she married Forest Ernest Barber (1922-1992). They had three sons.] (added 17 Aug 2009)

Anton Graf Széchényi de Sárvár-Felsövidék died at Martin im Innkreis on 17 August.

[He was born at Vienna on 31 March 1924, son of Friedrich Graf Széchényi de Sárvár-Felsövidék and of his wife, née Karoline Freiin von Schloissnigg. Since 1952 he was married to Princess Christiane von Auersperg (daughter of Adolf Erbprinz von Auersperg and of his wife, née Gabrielle Gräfin von Clam und Gallas. CROY

Princess Cécile de Croy, née Dumont, died on 4 May.

[She was born on 3 March 1918, and in 1941 married Prince François-Emmanuel de Croy (1913-1993), son of Prince François de Croy and of his wife, née Simone de Chaponay. She is survived by their daughter Isabelle, Duchesse de Lévis-Mirepoix, and by grandchildren.] (added 6 May 2009)

Princess Elisabeth de Croy-Solre (born on 13 December 1921, daughter of Prince Léopold de Croy-Solre and of his wife, née Jacqueline de Lespinay) died at Thiernay on 18 May. (added 20 May 2009)

Eleonore Freifrau von Landsberg-Velen, née Freiin Ostman von der Leye, died in June.

[She was born at Honeburg on 24 October 1923. From 1946 to 1959 she was married to Emanuel Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen (son of Emanuel Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen [himself the son of Ignaz Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen and of his wife, née Princes Bertha von Croy] and of his wife, née Maria Freiin von Fürstenberg). Mafalda de Croy de Freitas Branco (daughter of Silvano de Freitas Branco, Visconde do Porto da Cruz, and of his wife, née Princess Jacqueline Rose de Croy [herself the daughter of Prnce Léopold de Croy-Solre and of his wife, née Jacqueline de Lespinay]) and her husband Taheer Sacoor A. Prince Lamoral zu Hohenlohe-Jagstberg (son of Johannes Graf von Mirbach-Geldern-Egmont, Prince zu Hohenlohe-Jagstberg, and of his wife, née Andrea Vogel) and his wife, née Ruve Nevillia Watts, had their fourth child, Henrietta Maria Johanna Richarda, at Munich on 5 August. (added 10 Feb 2010)

Kraft Erbprinz zu Hohenlohe-Oehringen (son of Kraft Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Oehringen and of his wife, née Katharina von Siemens) and his wife, née Carolin von Wendorff, had their second child, Carl Ferdinand, on 16 January. (added 5 Mar 2009)

Baroness Senta-Maria Rubido-Zichy, née Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst, died at Buenos Aires on 13 August.

[She was born at Budapest on 15 April 1926, daughter of Prince Karl-Egon zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst and of his wife, née Edith Gáspár de Néver et Verebély. In 1971 she married Baron Ivan Rubido-Zichy (1908-1995).] (added 15 Aug 2009)

Princess Christian von Lobkowicz, née Marie-Thérèse Gräfin von und zu Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg, died on 21 December.

[She was born at Prague on 1 August 1922, daughter of Ferdinand Joseh Graf von und zu Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg and of his wife, Princess Marie zu Schwarzenberg. In 1954 she married Prince Christian von Lobkowicz (1924-2001). She is survived by their son and daughter, and grandchildren. Their elder son died in 2008.] (added 6 Jan 2010)

Franz Albrecht Metternich-Sandor, Duke von Ratibor und Fürst von Corvey, Prince zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst, died at Cetona, Italy, on the night of 24/25 June.

[He was born at Rauden on 23 October 1920, son of Viktor, Duke von Ratibor und Fürst von Corvey, Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst-Breunner-Enkevoirth, and of his wife, née Princess Elisabeth zu Oettingen-Oettingen u.Oettingen-Spielberg. Since 1962 he had been married to Isabella Altgräfin zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim u.Dyck (daughter of Franz Josef Fürst zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim und Dyck ad of his wife, née Princess Cecilie zu Salm-Salm). Georg Graf von Bardeau died on 18 June.

In 1957 he married Blanca de la Vega y Guttierez (1932-1972). Since 1976 he had been married to Maria Immaculata Solter y Reyes. Isabelle Gräfin von Loë, née Princess zu Salm-Salm, died at Kevelaer on 10 January.

[She was born at Potsdam on 13 February 1903, daughter of Hereditary Prince Emanuel zu Salm-Salm and of his wife, née Archduchess Maria Christina of Austria. In 1925 she married Felix Graf von Loë. She is survived by six of their children and their families.] (added 15 Jan 2009)

SCHAESBERG

Elisabeth Gräfin von Schaesberg (daughter of Wolfgang Graf von Schaesberg and of his wife, née Margarethe Gräfin von Redern) died at Starnberg on 12 August, according to her nephew. She had been married from 1956 to 1959 to Pedro Botas Menendez. They had one son. (added 14 Aug 2009)

Hans Günter Graf zu Solms-Laubach died at Munich on 5 April.

[He was born at Munich on 26 June 1927, son of Reinhard Graf zu Solms-Laubach and of his wife, née Emma Kreuter. In 1968 he married Anna Gräfin von Rechtern-Limpurg (1940-1994), daughter of Adolph Graf von Rechteren-Limpurg and of his first wife, née Princess Eleonore zur Lippe. Dermot Hugh Blundell-Hollinshead-Blundell died on 15 January. From 1967 to 1973 he had been married to Princess Stephanie Marie Eva zu Windisch-Grätz (daughter of Prince Franz Josef zu Windisch-Grätz and of his wife, née Comtesse Ghislaine d'Arschot Schoonhoven). (added 24 Jan 2009)

Prince Manfred zu Windisch-Grätz (son of Maximilian Fürst zu Windisch-Grätz and of his wife, née Maria Luisa Serra di Gerace) and his wife, née Maria Vittoria Lepri (daughter of Giuseppe dei Marchesi Lepri and of his wife, née Maria Luisa Cavallini) had their third child, a son, Brando, at Rome in January. WURMBRAND-STUPPACH

Mme. Thomas de Wertheimer, née Leonora Gräfin von Wurmbrand-Stuppach, died at Paris on 3 December.

[She was born at New York on 11 April 1927, daughter of Degenhart Graf von Wurmbrand-Stuppach (1893-1965) and of his first wife, née Lawton Filer (1903-1998). She was married firstly to Robert Miller, and secondly, in 1965, to Thomas-Alfred Wertheimer Edler von Wertheimstein (1922-2004).
