Prince Henri of Arenberg (third son of Jean, Duke of Arenberg and of Princess Sophie of Bavaria) married Vicomtesse Dainé Marie Thérèse de Spoelberch at Brussels on 12 January, followed by a religious ceremony at La Bastide dan Gras [La Bastide d'Engras?], nr Nimes, on 28 April.
[She was born in 1972 and she is a daughter of Vicomte André de Spoelberch and of Claude de Clermont-Tonnerre (herself the eldest daughter of the late Count François [of the marquis] de Clermont-Tonnerre and of the late Charlotte de Rohan-Chabot [of the dukes de Rohan]).]

Philipp Franz Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg (son of Georg Enoch Frhr v.u.zu Guttenberg [himself the son of Karl Theodor Frhr v.u.zu Guttenberg and of his wife, Princess Rose-Sophie von Arenberg]) married Alexandra Louisa Macdonald (daughter of the 8th Lord Macdonald of Slate) on 24 February.


Countess Isabelle d'Aspremont Lynden (daughter of the late Count Gobert d'Aspremont Lynden and of the late Baroness Marie d'Overschie de Neeryssche and wife of Eduard Karl, Prince zu Auersperg-Trautson) died on April 9th.


Eberhardus Freiherr von Wrede and his wife Katharina de Beliczey de Baicza (eldest child of István de Beliczey de Baicza and of Princess Marie Adelheid zu Bentheim and Steinfurt} had their second child, Luise Katharina Juliane, born on January 9th.
[They had married in in Burgsteinfurt, Germany on October 18th, 1998 and their first child, Eleonore Marie Elisabeth, was born in Arnsberg on July 9th, 1999.]

Prince Botho zu Bentheim and Steinfurt (fourth son of the late Prince Karl zu Bentheim and Steinfurt and of the late Princess Margarete von Schoenaich-Carolath and husband of Princess Alexandra zu Waldeck and Pyrmont) died at Arolsen on June 9th.

Princess Christiane Margarete zu Bentheim and Steinfurt (eldest daughter of Prince Ferdinand zu Bentheim and Steinfurt and of Leonie Keller) married Christian Bolz in Burgsteinfurt, Germany on May 19th.

Prince Nikolaus Friedrich-Christian Karl Reinhard Peter zu Bentheim und Steinfurt (third and youngest child of Prince Hubertus zu Bentheim und Steinfurt and of Eva Luise Wagner) married ...... Taufighi-Chirazi at Burg Bentheim in Bad Bentheim, Germany on August 31st.
[Her first name is not known to me.]


Louise Adrienne Jacoba Gräfin von Aldenburg Bentinck (only child of the late Adriaan Gf von Aldenburg Bentinck and of his first wife the late Jacoba van den Heuvel and widow of George de Brauwere dit de Steelant) died at Zuylestein castle near Leersum, Utrecht, The Netherlands on July 12th.


Hans Wolf (husband of Elisabeth Gráfin zu Castell-Castell [herself the second daughter of the late Carl, Fürst zu Castell-Castell and of the late Princess Anna-Agnes zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich]) died on January 5th.

Caspar Graf von Preysing-Lichtenegg-Moos and his wife Marie Therese Gräfin zu Castell-Castell (daughter of Carl Graf zu Castell-Castell and of Adelheid Freiin Jordis von Lohausen) had their second child, Emma, born at The Portland Hospital in London on March 20th.

Ferdinand, Erbgraf zu Castell-Castell (seventh child and fourth and youngest son of Albrecht-Karl, Fürst zu Castell-Castell and of Princess Marie Luise zu Waldeck und Pyrmont) and his wife Marie-Gabrielle Gräfin von Degenfeld-Schonburg had their first child, Carl, born in May.


Matthias Graf zu Castell-Rüdenhausen (seventh and youngest son of Siegfried, Fürst zu Castell-Rüdenhausen and of Irene Gräfin zu Solms-Laubach) and his wife Christiane Blau had their second child, Louis Friedrich Casimir Matthias, born in Hamburg, Germany on January 13th.


Princess Marie-Rose von Croÿ (daughter of the late Prince Alexander von Croÿ and of the late Mathilde Gräfin von Stockau and widow of Gotthard Graf Schaffgotsch genannt Semperfrei von und zu Kynast und Greiffenstein) died in Paffenhoffen, Bavaria, Germany on January 25th.

Jürgen v.Goerne, former husband of Princess Antoinette von Croy, died on 3 March.

(Prince) Nikolaus von Croÿ, Graf von Schmettau (son of the late Matthias Graf von Schmettau and of Princess Maria-Elisabeth von Croÿ and adopted son of his uncle Prince Alfred von Croÿ) married secondly Anna Sophia Gräfin zu Reventlow in Wulfshagen on May 11th.
[She is a daughter of Friedrich Graf zu Reventlow and of Jutta Lage and she was born in Eckernförde on April 15th, 1970. He had peviously been married to Maria del Pilar Gräfin Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht.]

Pius Perko Edler von Monshoff and his wife Caroline Frn von Strachwitz und Gross-Zauche (only daughter of Wolfram Frhr von Strachwitz und Gross-Zauche and of Princess Anna von Croÿ) had their first child, Zita Maria Elisabeth Grace Perko Edle von Monshoff, born on June 12th.

Princess Yolande von Croÿ (eldest daughter of the late Prince Réginald von Croÿ and of the late Princess Isabelle de Ligne) died at the château de Bellignies in Bavay, Dept Nord, France on July 11th.

Princess Maximilienne von Croÿ (daughter of the late Prince François von Croÿ and of the late Simone de Chaponay and widow of Count Aymar de La Tour du Pin Chambly de La Charce O'Connor died on July 15th.

Lodewijk Hijmans van den Bergh and his wife Jonkvrouwe Diana Loudon (eldest child of Jonkheer James Loudon and of Countess Agnès d'Yve de Bavay [herself the fifth child of the late Charles, Marquis d'Yve de Bavay and of Princess Mathilde of Croÿ]) had their third child and third daughter, Elena Amelie Louise Hijmans van den Bergh, born in Utrecht, The Netherlands on August 17th.

Antoinette de Pierre de Bernis (daughter of Cte Pierre de Pierre de Bernis (and of Nathalie de La Rochefoucauld), son of Joachim de Pierre de Bernis and of Princess Simone Armande von Croy) and her husband, Cte Eric Estève, had a fourth child, Wandrille, born on 27 August.

Prince Clemens von Croy (b.1934, half-brother of the present Duke von Croy) married secondly Mrs Ilse Lilly Beck, née Hofmann, on 6 October.

Andreas Freiherr von Strachwitz und Gross-Zauche (second and youngest son of Wolfram Frhr von Strachwitz und Gross-Zauche and of Princess Anna von Croÿ) will marry Lucy Lushington.
[She ia a daughter of the late John Lushington and of Jenny ...... (now Mrs Lightfoot). The engagement was announced in November 2000.]


Diane Halfin (daughter of Léon Halfin and of Liliane Nahmias and former wife of Prince Eduard Egon zu Fürstenberg) married Barry Diller at City Hall in New York on February 2nd.

Prince Maximilian zu Fürstenberg (only son of the late Prince Friedrich zu Fürstenberg and of Princess Teresa zur Lippe-Weissenfeld) and his wife Diana Freiin von Berlichingen had their third child, Princess Alina Louisa Mafalda Virginia Astrid Birgit Maria zu Fürstenberg, born in Zürich, Switzerland in February.

Prince Alexandre zu Fürstenberg (only son of Prince Eduard Egon of Fürstenberg and of his first wife Diane Halfin) and his wife Alexandra Miller had their second child, a son, named Tassilo, born at Cornell's Hospital, New York on August 26th.


Wolf-Hartmann Freiherr von Thüngen (only son of the late Lutz Frhr von Thüngen [himself a son of the late Hans Karl Frhr von Thüngen and of the late Julia Gräfin von Giech] and of the late Irmgard Freiin von Thüngen [herself a daughter of the late Rudolf Frhr von Thüngen and of the late Princess Elisabeth zu Ysenburg and Büdingen in Büdingen], adopted son of the late Reinhard Frhr von Thüngen and husband of Gabriele Freiin von Zedlitz und Neukirch) died in Bad Brückenau on January 27th.


Robert Edward William Buchan of Auchmacoy (third son of David William Sinclair Buchan of Auchmacoy and of the Honourable Blanche Susan Fionodbhar Scott-Ellis [herself the second daughter of the late John Osmael Scott-Ellis, 9th Baron Howard de Walden, 5th Baron Seaford and of his first wife the late Irene Gräfin von Harrach zu Rohrau und Thannhausen]) will marry Ana Paula Almeida Franco.
[She is a daughter of Renato Franco. The engagement was announced in September.]


Baroness Clara von Meyern-Hohenberg (daughter of the late Hans, Baron von Meyern-Hohenberg and of his second wife the late Baroness Hildegard von und zu Bodman and widow of Karl, Prince zu Hohenlohe-Bartenstein) died on June 2nd.


Prince Hubertus zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg (b.1967, son of Prince Gottfried zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg and of his first wife, Uta von Freyhold) and his wife, Karina, née Frowein (daughter of Jan-Ernst Frowein and of his wife, Marie-Thérèse von Malaisé) had a son, Conrad Alfred Felix Philipp Max Ernst Maria, on 10 January.

Princess Arriana Theresa Mara au Hohenlohe-Langenburg (daughter of Prince Alfonso zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg and of his second wife Jacqueline Lane) married Dennie Dixon Boardman at the Roman Catholic church de la Encarnación in Marbella, Spain on June 30th.
[He is a son of T. Dennie Boardman and of Vivian Dixon (whose grandparents Isidor Straus and Rosalie Ida Blun drowned in the Titanic-disaster) and he was born on November 7th, 1945. He has been divorced from Pauline Munn Baker (born in New York on Februray 16th, 1948), by whom he has two daughters, Serena Pauline Boardman (born on January 26th, 1970) and Samantha Vivien Boardman (born on January 11th, 1972). The engagement was announced in November 2000.]


Princesse Mechtilde von Urach (daughter of the late Wilhelm, Duke von Urach and of the late Duchess Amalie in Bavaria and widow of Friedrich Karl, Prince zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingfürst) died in March.


Prince Karl Boris Frank Markwart zu Leiningen and his second wife Cheryl Ann Riegler had their first child [together], Prince Karl Heinrich of Leiningen, born at The Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, USA on February 17th.


(Prince) Philipp Erwein von der Leyen und zu Hohengeroldseck (son of Baron Georg von Freyberg-Eisenberg and of his wife Princess Marie-Adelheid of Leyen and of Hohengeroldseck and adopted son of his grandfather Erwin, (last) Prince of Leyen and of Hohengeroldseck) and his wife Baroness Elisabeth von Gagern (daughter of Baron Claus von Gagern and of Erika Swoboda) had a daughter, (Princess) Maria Nives Alexandra Nicola Eugenie Adelheid Gisela von der Leyen und zu Hohengeroldseck, born in Landsberg an der Lech, Bavaria, Germany on February 13th.


Prince Bernard von Lobkowicz (second and youngest son of the late Prince Ladislav of Lobkowicz and of Countess Thérèse Cornet d’Elzius du Chenoy) and his wife Sophie-Aimée Lefebvre had their second child Prince Rodolphe Ladislas Dominique Bruno Bernard Jean-Népomucène Marie Popel et tous les Saints-Patrons de Bohême of Lobkowicz, born in Uccle, Belgium on January 3rd.

Larissa Seraphimovna Miloradovitch (fourth and youngest daughter of Seraphim Nicolaievitch [of the counts] Miloradovitch and of Baroness Agnes von Hoenning O'Carroll [herself a daughter of the late Zdenko, Baron von Hoenning O'Carroll and of his first wife the late Princess Margit of Lobkowicz]) will marry Matthew Dickinson.
[He is a son of William Dickinson and of Charlotte Harrison-Topham. The engagement was announced in December 2000.]

Prince Christian Frédéric Charles Jaroslav Aloys Antoine Jean Pie Marie von Lobkowicz (10th child of the late Jaroslav, Prince of Lobkowicz and of the late Countess Marie [of the dukes] von Beaufort-Spontin and husband of Countess Maria Theresia of Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg) died on September 2nd.

Prince William Easton von Lobkowicz (born in Boston, Massachusetts on 7 Sep 1961) and his wife, Alexandra Florescu, had a third child and second daughter, Sophia, born in Prague on 19 October.


Hereditary Prince Carl-Friedrich of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg and his wife Baroness Stephanie von und zu Brenken had their second child, Prince Nicodemus of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg, born in Oslo on August 2nd.

Jan-Christian Freiherr v.Twickell (son of Jan-Rudolf Frhr v.Twickell and of Bianca Gfn v.Magnis (herself a daughter of Ferdinand Gf v.Magnis and of Maria Anna Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg) married Amandine Ruffo de Bonneval de La Fare des Comtes de Sinopoli di Calabria in a civil ceremony at Burdinne on 29 December. The date of the religious ceremony is unknown to me. [Note: another source sent me the following: "According to the website of the "Carnet Mondain" the wedding of Johann Christian von Twickel and Amandine Ruffo took place on 11 September 2001 (yes !).  Normally they indicate the date of the religious ceremony."]

Raffaello Massini (husband of Princess Ernestine of Oettingen-Oettingen and Oettingen-Wallerstein) died in Rome on January 19th.
[He leaves two children by his marriage to Princess Ernestine, Alexandra Massini and Carlo Massini.]

Prince Wolfgang of Oettingen-Oettingen and Oettingen-Wallerstein (fourth and youngest child of the late Eugen, Prince of Oettingen-Oettingen and Oettingen-Wallerstein and of the Princess Maria Anna of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst and husband of [his third wife] Countess Angelika of Schönborn) died on April 4th.
[He was widower of his first wife Henriette de Longueval, Countess von Buquoy and he had been divorced from his second wife Princess Michaela of Schönburg-Waldenburg.]


Hubertus Nikolaus Maria Graf v.Orsini u.Rosenberg (b.15 Oct 1962) and his wife, Monika Keil, had a daughter, Clara, born at Klagenfurt on 1 September.


Count Franz of Ortenburg (eldest son of the late Count Aurel of Ortenburg and of Countess Isabella of Aldenburg Bentinck) and his wife Countess Gustava Grote had their third son, Count Caspar Franz Maximilian of Ortenburg, born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany on January 16th.

Count Aurel Friedrich Ladislaus Heinrich of Ortenburg (second and youngest son of the late Franz, Count of Ortenburg and of the late Countess Ilona Semsey de Semse and husband of Countess Isabelle van Aldenburg-Bentinck) died in Middachten near Arnhem, The Netherlands on October 13th.


Monika Thiersch Gräfin v.Stillfried u.Rattonitz (wife of Franz Leopold Gf v.Stillfried u.Rattonitz, son of Graf Franz Friedrich and of Veronika Gräfin v.Rechberg) died on 24 February.


Marie-Berthe Frn von Loë, née Freiin von Rennenberg (daughter of Robert Freiherr von Rennenberg [himself the son of Friedrich VI, last Fürst zu Salm-Kyrburg, by his morganatic wife, Luise Le Grand, Freifrau von Renneberg] and of his wife, Clothilde Gräfin von Marchant und Ansembourg) died at Schloß Ehreshoven on 4 April.
[She had been born in 1930 and married Felix Freiherr von Loë in 1955.]


Baron Raphaël von Loë (eldest son of Friedrich, Count von Loë [himself a son of the late Felix, Count von Loë and of Princess Isabelle of Salm-Salm] and of Baroness Inez von Boeselager) and his wife Nicola von Kessel had their sixth child, Baron Gratian Johannes Paulus Joseph Maria von Loë, born in Xanten on May 11th.

Baroness Paula von Loë (fourth child and only daughter of Friedrich, Count von Loë [himself a son of the late Felix, Count von Loë and of Princess Isabelle of Salm-Salm] and of Baroness Inez von Boeselager) and her husband Johan Vandré had a daughter, Ella Theresia Vandré, born in Berlin on August 25th.

Countess Flaminia Wolff Metternich zur Gracht (daughter of the late Count Joseph Wolff Metternich zur Gracht [herself a son of Ferdinand, Count Wolff Metternich zur Gracht and of Princess Flaminia of Salm-Salm] and of the late Baroness Maria Zorn von Bulach and wife/widow of François Levèque de Vilmorin) died on May 1st.

Prince Ludwig-Wilhelm of Salm-Salm (only child of the late Nikolaus, Prince of Salm-Salm and of his second wife Eleonore von Zitzewitz) and his wife Christiane Hansen divorced.


Prince Franz Wilhelm Otto Alfred Konstantin Emil of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (eldest son of the late Prinz Otto Konstantin of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and of his first and former wife the late Princess Elisabeth of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg and widower of Princess Gabriele of Ysenburg and Büdingen in Wächtersbach) died in Gmund am Tegernsee, Bavaria, Germany on May 19th.

Philipp v.Wulffen (b.9 Dec 1972, son of Hanno v.Wulffen and of Princess Ulrike zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg) married Viktoria Harf (daughter of Dr. Peter Harf and Tina, née Grube) in Munich on 11 November.


Baroness Isabella Schuler von Senden (youngest child and only daughter of Baron Hasso Schuler von Senden and of the late Princess Elisabeth of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn married Sebastian von Ribbentrop at the Sankt Erasmus Kirche in Fuschl, Austria [probably] on May 12th.
[He is a son of Barthold von Ribbentrop and Brigitte von Trotha.]

Princess Filippa of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn (second daughter and fourth child of Alexander, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and of Countess Gabriela of Schönborn-Wiesentheid) married Vittorio Mazzetti d'Albertis in a civil ceremony at Schloss Sayn in Sayn, Germany on June 8th. A religious ceremony took place at the Sankt Marien Abtei in Sayn on June 10th.
[He is the second son of Leopoldo Mazzetti and of Maria Pia (dei conti) d'Albertis (herself a descendant of Joachim Murat and of his wife Caroline Bonaparte) and he was born in Florence, Italy on August 24th, 1965. His original family-name of "Mazzetti" was changed into "Mazzetti d'Albertis" by decision of the Italian president in 1969.]

Princess Filippa of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn (second daughter and fourth child of Alexander, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and of Countess Gabriela of Schönborn-Wiesentheid and wife of Vittorio Mazzetti d'Albertis) died (in a car-accident) near Clevedon, Somerset, England on September 30th.


Count Wilhelm von Spee and his wife Countess Lorraine of Schönborn-Buchheim (eldest daughter of Friedrich Karl, Count of Schönborn-Buchheim and of Princess Isabelle of France) had their third child, Countess Heloïse von Spee, born in July.


Alexander, Count of Schönburg-Glauchau (second and youngest son of the late Joachim, Count of Schönburg-Glauchau and of his first and former wife Countess Beatrix Széchényi de Sárvár et Felsövidék) and his wife Princess Irina of Hesse (only daughter of Prince Karl of Hesse and of Countess Yvonne Szapáry de Muraszombath, Széchysziget et Szapár) had their first child, Countess Maria Laetitia Jolanta of Schönburg-Glauchau , born at the Virchow-Klinikum in Berlin on July 30th.


Baron Georg von Aretin (youngest son of Baron Peter von Aretin and of Baroness Marie Walburga von und zu Franckenstein [herself the second daughter of the late Georg, Baron von und zu Franckenstein and of the late Princess Karoline von Schönburg-Hartenstein]) and his wife Cornelia von Kleist had a daughter, Baroness Katharina Maria Benedikta von Aretin, born in Starnberg, Bavaria, Germany on May 19th.

Princess Aglaë of Schönburg-Hartenstein (eldest child and eldest daughter of Hereditary Prince Johannes of Schönburg-Hartenstein and of Countess Alexandra von Attems) married Maximilian Salzer in Grossweikersdorf, Lower Austria on June 30th.
[He is a son of Michael Salzer and of Maria Elisabeh Prutscher.]


Richard Whitten (second husband of Countess Viktoria-Luise of Soms-Baruth) died in Louisiana, USA in October.
[His wife had been divorced from her first husband the late Friedrich Josias, Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and he was the step-father of Andreas, Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.]


Count Rupert Strachwitz von Gross-Zauche und Cammenitz and his wife Countess Katharine of Solms-Laubach (only daughter of Count Friedrich of Solms-Laubach and of his former wife Countess Ulrike of Stolberg-Wernigerode) had their second daughter, Countess Alexa Anna Strachwitz von Gross-Zauche und Cammenitz, born on September 30th.
[Their first daughter is Countess Johanna Strachwitz von Gross-Zauche und Cammenitz.]


Alexander Graf zu Solms-Wildenfels (b.1966, son of Friedrich Ernst Magnus Graf zu Solms-Wildenfels and of his second wife, Maria Theresia Hermanns) and his companion, Kim Schöllner, had a daughter, Lorna Fe, on 22 November.


Count Ernst Günther of Stolberg-Stolberg (son of the late Count Hubert of Stolberg-Stolberg and of the late Princess Anna of Lobkowicz and husband of Irmela Matthey) died on March 2nd.

Sigismund Otto Freiherr von Kripp zu Prunberg und Krippach (son of Martin Frhr v.Kripp zu Prunberg u.Krippach and of his wife, Magdalena Gräfin zu Stolberg-Stolberg (herself the daughter of Bernhard Graf zu Stoilberg-Stolberg and of his wife, the Archduchess Hedwig of Austria)) and his wife, Ludmilla Gräfin Kálnoky, had their fourth child, Teresa, at Bolzano, on 14 September.


Count Wilhelm of Stolberg-Wernigerode (eldest son of the late Count Ludwig-Christian of Stolberg-Wernigerode and of Countess Anna of Schlitz called of Görtz and husband of Baroness Marie-Agnes von Seebach) died on January 11th.

Hereditary Prinz Philipp of Stolberg-Wernigerode (third son of Christian-Heinrich, Prince of Stolberg-Wernigerode and of Baroness Maria von Maltzahn) married Countess Caroline of Waldburg of Wolfegg and Waldsee in a civil ceremony at the town hall in Wernigerode, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany on April 21st. A religious ceremony took place at the Pfarrfirche Sankt Katharina in Wolfegg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany on May 19th.
[She is the eldest child and only daughter of Count Gebhard of Waldburg of Wolfegg and Waldsee and of Birgit Riedesel, Baroness zu Eisenbach and she was born in Munich on April 18th, 1971.]

Countess Dorothea of Stolberg-Wernigerode (youngest [and posthumus born] child of the late Count Constantin of Stolberg-Wernigerode and of his second wife Princess Elisabeth of Stolberg-Wernigerode and widow of Harry von Craushaar) died in Wiesbaden, Germany on April 11th. 2001.

Christian-Heinrich Fürst zu Stolberg-Wernigerode died at Hofgut Luisenlust near Bad Nauheim on 4 December.
[He had been born at Wernigerode on 21 December 1922, the son of Botho Fürst zu Stolberg-Wernigerode and of his wife, Princess Renata von Schoenaich-Carolath. He married Marie Freiin von Maltzahn in 1957, and is survived by her and four of their five children. He is succeeded by his third son, Philipp, who had married earlier in the year (see above).]


Hubertus von der Schulenburg and his wife, Princess Eleonore von Thurn und Taxis (daughter of Prince Hugo Lamoral Nikolaus von Thurn und Taxis and of his wife, Dorothea van der Elst), had their third child and first son, Nikolaus Hugo Friedrich, at Düsseldorf on 16 April.

Count Ferdinand Ludwig Josef Maria Wunibald Konrad von Parzham Christophorus of Waldburg of Wolfegg and Waldsee (fourth son of the late Franz, Prince of Waldburg of Wolfegg and Waldsee and of the late Countess Adelheid of Schönburg-Glauchau) died at Kitzbühel, Austria on June 12th.

Count Franz-Erwein von Nostitz-Rieneck (second son of Alois, Count von Nostitz-Rieneck and of Countess Theresia of Waldburg of Zeil and Trauchburg) will marry Countess Isabelle von Moy de Sons in June.

Prince Ludwig-Eugen of Wied (third and youngest son of Prince Dietrich of Wied and of Countess Antoinette Grote and husband of Helga Gemeinert) died in Munich on May 12th.

Carl, Prince of Wied (second son of the late Friedrich Wilhelm, Prince of Wied and of his first wife Princess Guda of Waldeck and Pyrmont) and his wife Princess Isabelle of Isenburg had their second child, Prince Franz Alexander Heinrich Konstantin Friedrich-Wilhelm of Wied, born in Neuwied, Germany on June 12th.

Albrecht von Harnier and his wife, Valeska von Klitzing (daughter of Werner von Klitzing and of his wife, Princess Osterlind zu Wied) had their first child, Friedrich, on 10 November.
