The sons and daughters of the Dukes of Buccleuch and Queensberry and the daughters of the Earls of Dalkeith bear the courtesy titles of Lord/Lady X Montagu- Douglas-Scott, unless and until they acquired some higher title. The sons of the Earls of Dalkeith, and the children of the Lords Montagu of Beaulieu all were styled "Honourable X Montagu-Douglas-Scott [or Douglas-Scott-Montagu]".
