Pokemon Yellow is basically like Pokemn Red and Blue, but has one major difference...it's deticated to Pikachu!
When you start the game, you'll notice simularities and differences to Pokemon red/blue. There is new beginning animation, all about Pikachu. When you enter you and your rivals name, you again must walk out into the grass. *Except this time you can get 2 steps in!* After the second step, Professor Oak will see you, and run after you. But instead of bringing you to the lab, You are attacked by a wild Pikachu! Oak catches the Pikachu, and now you go back to the lab.
Your rival is again there too as you talk to Oak. He says he has one Pokemon (And we all wonder what happened to Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squritle!!!), which is an Eevee, and that you may have it. But as you go get it, your rival pushes you out of the way and grabs Eevee! Oak sighs and gives you Pikachu instead.
As you walk out, AGAIN you are challanged by your rival. He sends out Eevee, and you send out Pikachu. If you win, Pikachu will grow to level 6.
After your rival leaves, Oak seems surprised and tells you it seems Pikachu prefers staying out of it's Pokeball!
So Pikahu fallows you around. You can talk to it, and it'll show you how it's feeling.
Wait a minute, you ask. More questions?
Q: Eevee has three evolutions! Which will my rival pick?
A: That's all chance! Any of them can be picked!
Q: Will he evolve Eevee into one of the new evolutions, like Espeon?
A: Nope, there won't be any new Pokemon in it.
Q: If I evolve Pikachu, will Raichu fallow me around?
A: Actually, you can't evolve Pikachu! I know it stinks, but Pikachu refuses the Thunder Stone!
