Making the Team

Well...are you one of those people who always seem to lose with there PKMN team? Do you keep worring if your team is strong enough, or wonder if your using the right combination? Here's some tips to really make an unbeatable team!

*Never have more then one of the same Pokemon! 6 Mews may sound super-powerful, but com against a bug type Pokemon and you'll have a major disadvantage.

*All Pokemon can be made strong. Many people consider Rattata one of the "weaker Pokemon" but hey, I trained it and it is undefeated. Not to mention Rattata means Raticate later! =)

*Try to spread around types. Try NOT to have 2 of the same types. The more different, the better. If you really need to have 2 of the same type, it's good to make it a normal, just because normal is in the middle of everything.

*A good team should have a type or technique advantage over ANY type. It is good to have a fire, water, and grass Pokemon at least.

*It is really useful to have all the HM moves in your team. Then you won't have to go exchange PKMN in your PC whenever you want to surf, fly, go through a dark cave, ect.

*Make sure your Pokemon can hurt any other type. Example: I have a Raichu on my team. As you know, electricity is Raichu's specialty. But against rock or ground types electricity is as useful as SPLASH. Teach it another move too, such as Body Slam, against those Onix's and Geodude's. Also, Normal doesn't effect Ghost. If you have a Raticate, (like me) teach it DIG. Dig is super-effective against Gengar, Haunter, and Ghastly.

*Watch out for EVERY attack. When I started Pokemon, if it didn't hurt me or the opponent, I didn't care. I get confused, no problem. Not good! Higher defense means stronger attack, ect.

*Always take a look at the PP in attacks. Teaching Charizard Fire Blast, Fissure, or other low PP attacks are not good. If you have those, add on ones that have plenty of PP.

*Do not pick only your favorite Pokemon for the team. Don't judge a Pokemon how it looks. Judge it how it works for you! Organize your team, try your best to not to take all your favorite fire-types on one team. You can switch Pokemon, and trade all you want, but try to ORGANIZE.

*It's good to have moves that'll make you opponent fall asleep, such as Sleep Powder, Sing, Hypnosis, and so on. This'll give you a little advantage against a tough enemy.

*Confusing attacks are good too. They take away quite a big if the confusee hurts itself in confusion!

*Worry about speed as much as defense and attack. A quick Pokemon is good because it'll go first in battle. That means a little extra chance to win quickly.

*Never under estimate your opponents!

*If you lose fifty times in a row, don't give up. Look for flaws in your training. Try new methods if yours won't work.

That's about it for now. I'll get some more later. But before you go, take a look at my Red Versian team!!!
