First of all ~ take your time, have patience. Be gentle with yourself as you learn as much as you can about this lifestyle, and as you take the time to learn about yourself. All the answers you seek are within you ~ some are buried deep within, but they are there, none the less.

Visit websites, chat rooms, read, listen and learn. Ask questions, and keep asking, until the answers echo true in your heart. Remember the information that applies to yourself, and dismiss the rest.

Keep in mind at all times real life is different than online ~ guard your emotions and protect your heart. An online relationship in many ways is even more emotionally devastating then real time ~ and closure is next to impossible.

There are no "rule books" in this lifestyle, there is no right or wrong, good or bad ~ what is...just "is". What is right for you becomes your truth, and more oftern then not may not be right for someone else. Any rules that are perceived are within the individual relationship you build; they are discussed, and negotiated between those involved.

For this reason it is most beneficial to be as well versed in the lifestyle as possible, before looking for or deciding upon a partner.
