"Lucky? Did you say Lucky?! You stuff me around for for years, and then tell me I'm lucky! I can't believe you! Don't even try to talk to me Taylor...just leave!"
There are rocky times ahead for Bailey and Taylor in "So Young" a story about love, lies, videogames and the friendships that are made to be broken.

This is a Hanson fan fiction that I started about a year ago when I was still in my "I love Hanson Faze" I guess that I put it up here because it's relevant to the stories that I write. There are three main characters, but mostly there is Bailey Griffin. She narrates a huge part of the story. My old website featuring "So Young" and an assortment of other fan-fictions can be found here.

Anyway, I finally got around to giving "So Young" the facelift it desperately needed. If you compare the "So Young" on my old website with this one, you'll notice that tehre a few minor changes. So, here it is, the first chapter!

CHAPTER 1. BAILEY

“This way baby” Givoanni called to me. “That’s right, hold it…no come on darling, I said passion! There it is…hold it…oh you’re hot today!” I flirted with the camera, now barely noticing the fact that I was wearing only the briefest of bikinis and was surrounded by people.

“That’s a wrap!” Giovanni called. I realised and made my way over to my seat. Crystal brought me a robe. I slipped into it as she brushed out my hair and took off my make-up.
“Giovanni’s pleased, the shots should be finished by tomorrow, you’ll be able to go home early” I grinned and she winked at me.

Melbourne was a beautiful city, but that day all I wanted to do was get out of it. I had been there for three weeks and I was tired, exhausted really. All I wanted to do was curl up in my big queen sized bed in my old room with a mug of hot MILO and the latest Arlene J. Chai book.

A taxi took me to the motel where mum was waiting for me.
“You finished early?” She asked. I nodded and hugged her.
“What’s for tea?” I asked. She shrugged.
“Take away?” I laughed.
“Again?” She grinned at me.

True to his word, Giovanni finished the shots the next day and the shot was declared a wrap. There would be a small wrap party that night but I made my apologies. I was honestly, truly exhausted. Mum and I drove home from Melbourne to Elton the next morning. It was great to be able to wear old jeans and a shirt again.

I counted the corners until we reached our house. One, Mrs. Knopp’s house, two the old oak tree, three the cast-iron statue, four our street sign. Babylon Drive, and there we were. The old house looked the same. It was a beautiful home, built on four of the most prestigious acres in Elton, my hometown. Daddy wasn’t home yet so I let myself in and hurried up to my bedroom. It was beautiful and decorated in a folk art kind of way. The wall farthest from the door was made up completely of windows and sliding doors that led out onto a small balcony. The wall to the right led into a small ensuite and the wall to the left, into a walk in robe. My big old bed sagged next to the bedroom door. Technically, this room was the master bedroom, but the way that the house was built, meant that my bedroom was suspended over a car port, and mum said that it gave her the jitters even thinking about sleeping on an unstable surface. But I loved it.

I returned to school the next day. I rode my bike in the morning, after all the junk food that mum and I had eaten in Melbourne; I needed to set about dropping the weight that I would surely put on. I arrived not long before the bell went and left the Year Ten area in search of my best friends. Savanna was leaning against her locker nonchalantly, staring Luke Rolland up and down. I groaned loudly.
“I said fuck off” She stated calmly. Luke stood his ground valiantly, but when you’re up against an opponent like Sav, you’re already in trouble.
“Savanna!” I called. She jumped and searched the swarm of Year Eleven students.
“Bailey!” She called. I hurried over to her locker, noting with an inward sigh that she was out of uniform yet again.
“Luke…” Sav began, beating her long eyelashes. Luke stared at her incredulously.
“Yeah?” He asked.
“I hope you drop dead in horse shit!” She hissed in his ear. I tried to stifle my giggle as she grasped my arm and we hurried off down the hall.

“Yeah?” Luke began, calling after our retreating backs. “Well me too! Only to you!” This just made me laugh harder. I had to stop and grip my sides. And then Sav started laughing too and we were standing in the middle of the yard, laughing like a couple of hyenas.

It was never until I was back with them, that I realised how much I missed Sav and Jesse. They had both been my best friends for years now. Jesse was two years older at eighteen, than I was, and Sav only one. We were basically inseparable.

I walked to the front gate with Jesse that night, she was driving home again
“Need a lift Bailey’s Bones?” She asked. I swatted her and pointed to my bike.
“Nope”
“Cool…call you tonight?”
“Yup!”
“Gotta love those one syllable answers” Jesse chided. I glared at her mockingly and attempted to mount the bicycle.

I wobbled off down the road and Jesse drove past me, tooting the horn and carrying on. I arrived home soon after and fixed myself a snack, deciding to get a head start on my homework and go for a jog later.

The phone rang at about seven. I was out jogging, but I could hear mum’s voice when I opened the door.
“Here she is now Christopher…I’ll get her” I took the phone from her gratefully.
“Hey Chris”
“Babe! How are you?” Not waiting for an answer he plunged ahead. “I got the trial shots from Giovanni and they’re superb darling! How do you manage to be so gorgeous? Anyway, I’ve heard from the people from SONY and they’re interested. I’m sending them the test shots tomorrow. We’ll know by the next day” I squealed in excitement and covered my hand with my mouth.
“Oh my god! That’s so great Chris! I’ll tell mum! I’ll be expecting your call!”

I lay in bed that night for hours, but I couldn’t sleep. It was a warm November night and I was restless. Chris’ news had excited me. Christopher Jenkins had been my manager for a year. Since I had won a modeling competition sponsored by DOLLY. Since then Chris had ensured that my face made it onto the covers of DOLLY, GIRLFRIEND, That’s Life and even an issue of VOGUE. I had modeled for a few small stores. But Chris had given me my first big break by winning me the lucrative SKANDALOUS deal. SKANDALOUS was a top swimwear brand and I had been modeling it for two months.

I must have finally dropped off to sleep, because I woke up the next morning, fatigued from the late night. But sure enough, within a couple of days we had word from Chris. And the wood was good, a resounding yes!
“They want you over the Summer Holidays in Sydney!” Chris cried down the phone. I jumped and squealed and carried on until mum came running. Finally, after years of hard work, I was going places!

AND NOW FOR...CHAPTER 2.
