Eternal Fire - written by Maelstorm
In the heavens the legend of fire was born.
Even the gods fear the almighty flame.
From the heavens I came a being to be worshipper or to be scorn.
In their arrogance they have created a being that will not bow or be tame.
Like the fire we represent we are also very intense.
There have been disasters throughout the centuries attributed to our name.
Nature has embedded in her creatures avoid me if they have any commonsense.
Only those fools that did not heed our advice in Pompeii will I claim.
When world was young it was fire that brought comfort to the world of man.
Yet you use it burn your female species to the stake.
It was fire your weapon of choice to take your neighbor's land.
Using a weapon of the gods in this was only makes heartaches.
Should I take away that which keeps the Ice King in his northern kingdom?
Should I douse the fire, that keeps warm you as, Maelstorm is outside venting his fury?
Without fire the Ice King has made sure some mortals never again see daylight come.
You use fire to keep away the dark but take my advice if you ever feel lord Ebenos presence flee in a hurry.
I was created in fire forge tougher than the hardest metal yet without fire I am still a dragon.
If I had never introduce fire into the world I wonder what kind pathetic creature man would have become.
