Bavarian Police Carcano

6.5 Carcano

I bought this from a private individual at a PRO show in Ohio in 1997. The seller had no idea what it was and took $50 for the gun. Even then, in the dark hall, I didn't realize what the markings said.

"Bavaria Rural Police" "Civ. Guard"

Apparently used post WWII and then imported before 1968 (see the welded on barrel extension to make it long enough to import.).
