Hello Kids! This is Ray C. Fair again, here to tell you about Animaniacs, the show that took the heart of millions of children everywhere. Animaniacs premiered on on the FOX Network in the afternoon time slot. Since the beginning, Animaniacs became a popular cartoon among young television viewers. I'm Ray C. Fair! Animaniacs first aired on September 1993 and ended on May 1998, on the WB network. Animaniacs is a cartoon showcase which is composed of various segments, each starring a different set of main characters. However, it appears the prominent characters overall are Yakko, Wakko and Dot(the cute one). I'm Ray C. Fair! Animaniacs was the followup to Tiny Toon Adventures, which it surpassed in nuttiness. The two Warner Brothers, Yakko, Wakko and their Sister Dot , had been created in the 1930's according to the story, but had been locked up in the Warner Studio since they were to looney for the public. I'll tell you one thing, i got seizures after watching their first cartoon! they later escaped in the 1990's. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are pursued by the CEO of the studio Mr. Plotz, his guard Ralph, psychiatrist Dr. Scratchinsniff, and his lovely assistant, the Nurse(boy, I'd sure love for her to check my pulse!). The shows many spoofs and references to society as well as the songs became popular among its viewers. Among the more popular skits was that of Pinky and the Brain, two lab rats whose sole purpose was to take over the world. Pinky, the silly one, and Brain, the genius, composed this hilarious duo. Unfortunately for them their plans always seemed to fail for one reason or another. Pinky and the Brain had such success that they later became their own show, the Pinky and the Brain show. Another segment was the Goodfeathers, which made a spoof on the typical set of mobsters wandering the streets of New York searching for a living. And of course, there was a Godpigeon. The goodfeathers are Booby, pesto and Squit. A cat named Rita and a dog named Runt were somewhat popular characters who were in the search to find a place to stay at. Perhpas my favorite character was Chicken Boo, a chicken who disquised himself as multiple things, eg. Santa Claus, WIld West cowboy, soap opera hunk, among amny others. Why is he my favorite you ask? Well, lets just say KFC will never get this chicken!(wink!wink!). Another of my favorite characters was Slappy Squirrel , an old cartoon star who is always grumpy and lives with her nephew, Skippy. With Slappy, you'll nevewr run short of Anvils! Mindy and Buttons were a baby and dog, who were never far from trouble. Buttons always came to the rescue, though. Minerva Mink was a beautiful mink who never lacked admirers, whether they be wolves or weasels. The Hip Hippos were husband and wife Flavio and Marita, always having fun and going to lots of cruises.
