This magnificent stomacher in diamonds and three large drop pearls was originally owned by Tsarina Maria Feodorovna of Russia, mother of Queen Anna Pavlovna of the Netherlands, born Grand-Duchess of Russia. However, it was not through Queen Anna that it became part of the jewels of the Orange-Nassau family, but through King Willem III's first wife, Queen Sophie of Württemberg, a granddaughter of Tsarina Maria Feodorovna, by her mother, Grand-Duchess Catharina Pavlovna.

HM Queen Beatrix nowadays often wears it without the pendant, with the three drop pearls or with three pearl shaped diamonds directly hanging from the bow.
