A picture which depicts well the magnificence of the State Banquet offered by the Government of the Kingdom in honour of HRH Princess Beatrix and Mr. Claus von Amsberg. Radiant Princess Beatrix, in an elegant light violet dress, with her future husband, Mr. Claus von Amsberg, by her side, looks amused to see the ornament in crown shape above their heads during the State Banquet in the Prinsenhof in Delft. The Princess wore an embroidered elegant dress and her Small Diamond Tiara.

Princess Irene, then already Princess of Bourbon-Parma after her wedding to Prince Charles Hughes of Bourbon-Parma, the Carlist pretender to the Spanish throne, looked delighted and extremely beautiful, in a stylish hair dress in which her Bourbon tiara matched perfectly. The elegant princess sat on the side of the Finance Minister, Mr. A. Vondeling.
