Welcome to the official website of the Aberdeen Youth String Ensemble - an Ensemble 'Composed' of some 20 young musicians, Aberdeen's finest. Run through Aberdeen Music Centre, the Ensemble is conducted and directed by Malcolm Bolton and has a fine reputation as one of the best youth groups in Aberdeen.
The orchestra of 2003 at the National Festival of Music for Youth The musicians of AYSE age between 12 through to 18 and many past members have gone on to study music at colleges such as the Royal College of Music in London, The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and also the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
