Sculpture IIIThese are some of my latest works in sculpture. I'm trying to let go of standard and traditional art. I think I'm on the right track. What do you think?

Relief of Woman
I think this one is pretty sweet. I like how I discontinued the face at the lips on the head and how I let our mind believe the far arm is resting behind her. I did use a traditional feel where I gave the right arm a chopped look; but I think it works. |
Woman of Swirl
This one was a true attempt at letting go of the rules. I feel like if Degas and Rodin can get away with it, why shouldn't I? Plus, I just think it looks cool anyway. I want to put one on the middle of my coffee table. This is just in plasticine right now and has not been cast yet. I can't wait personally! |
