 Rhianna's Knighting Ceremony!The Jedi and Sith again congregate, in the gardens of the Jedi Temple, to witness the graduation of another Padawan into the ranks of the Jedi. People cloaked in various shades of drab... as well as the non-conformists in brightly-colored robes mill around, waiting for the ceremony to start. Master Yoda has positioned his hover chair in front of the dessert table, to smack the hands of the hungry younglings with his gimer stick if they get too close to the cookie tray. A subtle shift in the Force causes the crowd to part and settle down to observe the ceremony. Master Iceheart and Master Etho-lan enter the gardens side-by-side, and walk up to the raised dias in the center of the garden. "I like your hair, Etho... er, Orlando" Icy whispers to her companion as they make their way to the dias. The Master had recently dyed his locks green. "Thanks" he responded. "You seem to be the only one. Sam said he thought I looked like a 'glitted-up kowakian monkey-lizard'. I don't know what that means, exactly..." Icy had to supress a chuckle as she turned to face the crowd. Another shift in the Force signaled the entrance of the guest of honor. Rhianna Skywalker entered the gardens resplendent in a crimson gown. Her hair is worn up in an elaborate coil, leaving only a Padawan Braid. The three Jedi on the dias turned to face the crowd. "Rhianna has shown remarkable dedication to the Jedi Order in the execution and completion of her tasks." Icy started. "She turned out to be, in the evolution of her training, quite the historian, as she has created something of her own holocron of her own history, as well as the history of the Jedi's relations with the Galaxy. She has done a wonderful job in training, and I'm sure you all share my feelings that she will make an equally wonderful Jedi Knight. And with that - kneel a Padawan, Rhianna." Rhianna kneels on a small pillow centered between the two Masters. Icy ignites the lightsaber hanging from her belt, and cuts Rhianna's Padawan braid, draping it around her neck. Etho-lan then ignites his lightsaber, and touches it lightly to her shoulders, and then to the top of her head. "And rise, a Jedi Knight!" Etho-lan finishes, as the crowd erupts into cheers. After a few minutes, Icy sends a subtle signal through the Force to the cheering crowd to quiet them. When that doesn't work, she sends a not-so-subtle signal. "HEY! We're not done yet! Rhianna needs her graduation present!" Icy turns around and picks up a small wicker cage, which she hands to Rhianna. Inside, Rhianna finds a small, white rabbit, dressed in Jedi Robes with a little rabbit-sized lightsaber strapped to it's rabbit-sized utility belt. "It's a plot bunny" Icy explains. "To help you with the rest of your fan fiction." Icy gives Rhianna a big hug, and then the newest Knight and her two Masters turn to face the crowd. "Okay folks, the reception is that way!" It is an Honor to find myself among such fine company... It is with great humility I accept the title of Jedi Knight. I wish to thank my Master Iceheart for her patience, friendship and wisdom. I also wish to thank the ever fictitous Master Etho-lan for helping me get through my training with a smile. To all the Padawans, Knights and Masters; I also extend my thanks for their encouragement and friendship. I especially thank Master Emi for "mothering" me, Padawan Skorpy for playing games with me to take the stress off my training, and Lil Amidala for waiting patiently for me to finish my training. Thank you everyone for your well wishes and I hope to become friends with many more of you now that I am finished training. May the Force be with us all!!! | |
