Padawan Bryan... take a knee. *The Temple is serene... silent. The Force pulses here in almost tangible waves. Even in its slumber, the Jedi stronghold is quietly powerful. Now, with the entire Council and many more witnesses assembled in the vast marble ceremony hall, it is simply magnificent in stature.* *Maverick gazes at her Padawan as he does what he is told, taking a knee and kneeling to the smooth floor. It is not the first time he has done so in his time as her apprentice; it will, however, be the last.* *She looks down at Bry, feeling the weight of her robes as they rustle the floor. She catches glimpse of her own Master off to the side and is vividly aware that this is what she must have felt like, none too long ago.* *She rests a hand on Bry's head, pushing back the spiky locks and says softly* Chosen One... you have shown me persistence since before our journey began together. Along that path, rocky though it might have been at times, you also showed me spirit... faith... courage. Now, as this particular journey ends, you have demonstrated determination and a strong will. You are a credit to the Order, and will be an example to all. I am proud to have you as my First Knight. *Turns to take a familar dagger from her Master's hands, that which Eve used on her not all that long ago, and catches Bry's gaze as she grasps the long, thin Padawan braid. Severs it in one decisive motion, then lends him her hand, as he lifts his bowed head.* *smiles* Rise, Jedi Knight Bryan... one of our newest, perhaps, but definitely one of our finest. ~Maverick~ Proud First Knight to the Honorable Master Eve Proud Master to Bry, the Chosen One "Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Then, to Mav, the Order's newest Master, so different yet the same and much more wise, but _knows_ she'll always be her Padder* *takes the liberty of stepping out from the crowd and placing a hand on Bryan's shoulder* Congratulations, you will make one of the Finest Jedi Knights and prove to many what this Order stands for. *turns to Maverick and places a hand on her shoulder* You never let me down as my Padawan and you've made a great Master out of yourself. You'll never stop making my proud. Congratulations to you for producing another fine Jedi to this Order and bringing yourself to a new level. *gives up her resolve and pulls them both into a tight hug* I knew it, and i told you so...!
