Last time on EVE

Eve - Why did Alex send you to us? What were you told to do?

Adam - I was chosen because of my unique ability to make people forget all they're problems, appeal to their ego. The one who is many asked me to distract you from interfering in the alignment. If I were to fail I was ordered to kill you.

Adam then makes a bolt for the entrence. Just then an arm lashes out and punches Adam in the face knocking him out. Eve, Morgan, Craig, James and Jeff looks down at an unconscious Adam and then looked up at the man that stopped him from escaping.

Eve - Who are you?

Man - The man or god who's going to help you stop the Olympians

Craig - Why should we believe you?

Man - Because I know better then anyone that while the gods say one thing, they mean another, and it's usually for their own benefit and the expense of many innocence's

Eve - (moves closer to the man) Who are you?

Man - I'm Hercules

Eve - Hercules?

Morgan - Whoa!! That's impossible! You have to be like a billion years old

Hercules - 2045 years old to be exact.

Craig - You're an impostor. Alex was three quarters God and she was supposed to live the life of a healthy accident free mortal. She would have died eventually. Hercules was half God, you should be long dead

Hercules - You forget who my family is. I ate ambrosia so I could keep on doing what I do best. Helping the people.

Craig - All the reason why we shouldn't trust you. If you are Hercules . . .

Hercules picks up a crow bar and bends in effortlessly in half

Craig - O.k. . . . You may be Hercules but you're one of them. Why should we trust you?

Jeff - Man if he has an in with the Gods we may have a way of getting to Alex

Craig - Or getting us killed

Hercules - I don't know if you noticed but I was trying to warn you about Adonis. He was one of Aphrodite's creations. He's very . . . persuasive

Eve - (looks to Hercules) Warn us?

Hercules - It was him who sent those Harpies after you. I was trying to catch him off guard while trying to expose him with the knife, hitting him with the rock, throwing the rock through your window, trying to expose him taking your photos . . .

Eve - That was all you?

James - Why didn't you just warn us directly or try and stop him face to face

Hercules - And if he got away, I risk exposing myself and then the gods would be after me and I would be no help to you

Craig - Why would you want to help us?

Hercules - The same reason I've been helping people all my life and why I've defied my family and my father. You figure it out. I don't believe the Gods intentions for being re born are as true as they say

Craig - I don't know . . I'm not sure of your intentions but Jeff has a point . . . Eve it's your call

Eve - (softly) He killed his own father to protect me and mother so I could be born . . . He can help us. I trust him. I'm just not sure I can trust myself

Eve walks to the back room leaving the scene.

Cut to Eve in her apartment. She is sitting in front of her shrine. She is not praying she is just sitting there thinking. We pan around her and see Hercules leaning against the frame in an open door watching her.

Hercules - Praying?

Eve is startled out of her thoughts and looks towards Hercules

Eve - Thinking

Hercules - Ah (walks in further) About your friend, Alex

Eve - How did you know about her, about Adonis, about any of us?

Hercules - I've known about the vessel for quite sometime, as have the rest of the gods. It took them awhile to find her. When I found out it was Ares granddaughter and more important that she was connected to you I tried everything in my power to stop it. I'm considered an outcast among the gods they wouldn't listen to me about just leaving the issue alone and by the first time Alex was contacted by Apollo's boys events were set in motion there was nothing to stop this, only death.

Eve - (stands up and looks out her window) I should have known I could have stopped this.

Hercules - Life isn't ours to control. Alex made her choice, granted it was an influenced choice but you shouldn't blame yourself.

Eve - It's not about blame. It's about my friend, needing my help, and I couldn't save her and now I'm going to have to let her die and I don't even know if the gods mean any threat to this world. How am I supposed to be some sort of savior for this world if I can't save the ones I love, if I don't even know what I'm supposed to save them from.

Hercules - Because you are not a savior. You may be a woman with an incredible destiny but you are also just a someone who know they have an ability to make a difference. Sometimes that all any of us are and that's enough. (puts his hands on her shoulders and turns her around to face him) I knew you would make a difference the moment I saw your mother hold you in her arms.

Eve smiles a little

Hercules - I know you are confused but trust me about the gods, when they say they want to start fresh and do right by humanity there is usually a darker hidden meaning, they are very abstract, like oracles, it's really annoying when they can't just say what they mean

Eve - (laughs a little) It's just . . . I doubt myself so much, do I have the ability, do I have what is takes to make a difference, sometimes I know and I'm confident and I do make a difference, and sometimes I feel like my whole world is crumbling around me. Like Adonis, he distracted me so easily, I was fooled and now the world can be is serious danger.

Hercules - Welcome to the human race. Even half gods deal with the flaws of their own existence. I was driven mad and I killed my family, my second wife. I watched my mother die and there was nothing I could do and my best friend's soul and life was taken by an evil demon. I lost all faith, all hope. I wanted to die.

Eve - What stopped you?

Hercules - The light. We are duel beings Eve. An evil side and a good side. Someone who is good, who can do so much good, constantly battles their inner demons, their doubts and fears. It is that balance between good and evil. We can learn from our experiences, and we can teach others.

Eve - It's hard

Hercules - It supposed to be. Not everyone can do it. That's why we were chosen, you were chosen. You can do it, you can make a difference.

Eve - What makes me so special?

Hercules - What do you want a list? . . . I suppose the most prominent reason, you have friends who believe in you, who can keep you on your path

Eve - They are pretty special. Even Alex. I don't want to let her go.

Hercules - If that is so then their might be a way to save her but we have other things to deal with first.

Cut to downstairs. Morgan, Jeff, James, Craig, Eve and Hercules are all looking down at an unconscious Adonis.

Morgan - What do we do with him?

Craig - I say we get rid of him

Eve - I don't want to kill him

Jeff - And if we let him go he'll go running to Olympus and spill the news. That we know and Herc here is helping

James - We could put him in a mental institution, that's what happened to Ronin

Hercules - But if he doesn't return with a report to the gods, they'll come looking for him and he'll spill the"beans" any way

Craig - So what do we do with him?

Hercules - Craig are you any good with memory charms?

Craig - I'm pretty fair at them why?

Hercules - We are going to send him back to the Gods, but with only a selective memory, preferably without me.

Eve - Can you do it Craig.

Craig - I can try

Eve - You can do it. I know you can! I believe in you

Craig - (smiles) Welcome back Eve. I'll get right on it

Craig goes over to his back pack and gets out hid book and walks back over to Adonis. Pan over to Morgan, Jeff and James looking up at Hercules. He looks at them

Hercules - Yes?

Morgan - I don't know I always thought you'd be, you know, bigger

Hercules - I get that a lot

Jeff - How did you know about this whole Adam thing anyway?

Hercules - Aphrodite and Cupid let me know. They're on our side, but if the others were to ever find out . . . it could be bad, for all of us

James - That's not exactly encouraging

Hercules that's why we have to go about it real quite like and hope this memory charm works.

Pan back over to an unconscious Adonis. Fade from that image to an awake Adonis in the marble hall of Olympus He is giving a report to all the Gods.

Adonis - I was able to distract them but as I said somehow they found out someone caught on and I don't know who. They were warned and they were able to capture me. They neutralized my abilities while injecting me with a truth serum. (looks ashamed) I divulged all information.(on his knees) I have betrayed you my most honourable Gods. I am at your mercy do with me what you will.

Apollo - (forms a fire ball in his hand) There will be no mercy here

Voice - HOLD!!!

Apollo's fire ball disappears and everyone looks to a figure in the shadows. Alex emerges. Her head is held high. She is wearing a silver three quater length shirt and gold pants. She walks over to Adonis.

Alex - There is no reason to kill him. He did his task. He distracted Eve long enough. The alignment is close now and there is nothing she can do to stop our re birth. However I see that the spell put on Adonis is wearing off , he is a threat to our senses, and of course he did betray us. Put him in the box, place him in the underworld in Persephone's care. (looks to Persephone) I trust you won't open it.

Persephone - (confused by Alex's behaviour) No he is safe in my care

Alex nods and several guards drag Adonis away kicking and screaming.

Adonis (screams fade off) NO! NO! NO! NOT THE BOX! PLEASE GODDESS, PLEASE, NOT THE BOX!!!!

Alex smiles softly and turns to Aphrodite who is unnerved

Alex - Quite the impressive invention. He did his job well. It's strange though. I thought you liked Eve.

Aphrodite - I'm dedicated to my family

Alex - Good

Aphrodite - Alex?

Alex - She's resting. Trying to maintain control of this body with the rest of us growing stronger is . . . tiring

Alex turns toward the throne and walks forward. Apollo stands up

Apollo - Who are you then?

Alex - Why brother, you mean you really don't know?

Apollo - Athena?

Alex - (smiles) For now

Apollo moves aside unnerved by this transformation. Alex sits down in the thrown comfortably. Demeter and Hesita on either side of Alex looks at her questionably.

Alex(as Athena) - Make the arrangements!! It's time to prepare for the alignment, our rebirth and the glorious restoration of our kingdom!!!!!

Alex as Athena begins to laugh evilly!

COMMERCIAL

Open with a pan around a marble room decorated with various objects. There are symbols of death, fear and discord about the walls, there are animal skins decorating the floor and various weapons and scrolls lying about. We pan around and see Alex in a black cloak looking out her window. Hercules comes into view

Hercules - So we finally meet

Alex - And where have you been that is took us so long to "meet"

Hercules - Out

Alex - Don't play dumb with me Hercules, you forget you are talking to people who know you

Hercules - People?

Alex - I know you've been out protecting and helping those mortals you care so much about

Hercules - Strange talk coming from someone who is part mortal and a bit disrespectful considering I am you uncle

Alex begins laughing almost evil as she turns around to face Hercules, dark shadows under her eyes.

Hercules - (sighs)I'm not talking to Alex am I? Who am I addressing?

Alex - Guess. Oh by the way Charon says you still owe him. I'll bet the beast still keeps all his money in his shoe.

Hercules - (rolls his eyes) Uncle Hades. Good to see you again, sort of. How've you been?

Alex (as Hades)- Dead you fool! Or at least my essence has been trapped for over two thousand years. I still feel trapped. The alignment can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned. I can't wait until I can be released from this mortal confinement

Hercules - Do you dislike the body because she's female, because she's part mortal or because she's your wife's illegitimate child?

Alex (as Hades) - WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?!!!

Hercules - (unfazed) Can I talk to Alex?

Alex (as Hades) - She's resting, but Athena would like to know where you've been

Hercules - I thought I just said

Alex (as Hades)- She's not as trusting as me. We all know of your fondness for the mortals. When the alignment comes you can't get in our way

Hercules - Is there something that I need to be worried about that I would feel I would have to get in the way.

There is a strained moment of silence as Hercules an Hades stare each other down. Suddenly Alex teeters and sways and her eyes flutter closed and she is about to faint. Hercules runs up and catches her and carries her over to the bed and sits her down. Alex lifts her head, the dark shadows gone. She looks up to Hercules confused

Alex - Who are you?

Hercules - I'm Hercules

Alex - Oh . . . I thought you'd be bigger

Hercules - Are you o.k.?

Alex - Yeah . . . it's just tiring you know trying to regain control of this body, switching from persona to persona. I'll be glad to have my own body back after this is over.

Hercules - Is that possible?

Alex - Yeah, when the alignment happens I'll split into the different personas and the cosmic energies created during the alignement will form their own bodies. Their life force will still be connected to mine for a few days. Until they've been fully reinstated into full god hood and immortality, I'll have to be put to sleep.

Hercules - Why's that?

Alex - Well if any of my consciousness is mixed in before they fully regenerate, the more control I will have over my life force. They will become trapped within me and I'll be in an eternal struggle, them trying to get out, me trying to get them out or keep them in. The only way from either of us not suffering any of that fate would be to kill me in the midst of their regeneration. I die and they have nothing to feed off of they just fade away. Why are you asking all these questions? Are you thinking of stopping this?

Hercules - There is no way to stop this once it's begun, or so I'm told. It's this whole re birth thing, I'm curious. I wish my father could come back. I'd tell him I'm sorry if I could.

Alex - Why'd you kill him if you regret it so

Hercules - Because it didn't have to be that way. You know that the prophesy was fulfilled because of the gods own fear. If he had just left it alone . . . life is important whether it is one life or one thousand lives.

Alex - Sometimes the needs of the one has to be sacrificed for the needs of many.

Hercules - Well put (stands up and sees the picture face down on the bed side table and picks it up, seeing Alex and her friends) This your family?

Alex - Sort of

Hercules - Friends?

Alex - I don't know

Hercules - Do they know you're here?

Alex - I don't know

Hercules - So you think they are thinking about you?

Alex - I don't know that either

Hercules - That's a lot of I don't knows

Alex - (stands up angry) What do you want me to say? They were my friends, good friends and I would have done anything for them, but they don't know what I'm going through, what it's like to be me, and I know they would sacrifice me for the greater good and I know it's selfish but . . . . I don't want to go . . . I'm scared to go.

Hercules - I have a suspicion that your friends care about you, no matter who you are, what you are.

Alex- How would you know?

Hercules - Because I had friends, much like the ones I think you have and no matter what I did or what trouble I got into or any decisions I made, they were always there for me. Whether it was to help me clean up my mess, stand behind me when things went wrong, or even bring me back from the dark side. Why? Because they care, because that's what friends do

Hercules looks to Alex and gives her a small smile.

Hercules - You should rest. Sweet dreams

Hercules walks out of her room while Alex lays back on the bed.

Alex - Not likely

Cut to a pan over New York city over Central park. Fade into the park by the fountain where Eve is fighting a demon. The demon runs toward her and moves to punch her. Eve blocks both punches and quickly punches the demon in the gut pushing it back. Eve moves toward punching the demon again but it kicks her in the gut then hit her in the chest sending Eve flying back into a nearby tree. The demon runs at her to attack but Eve quickly stands up on one hand and hits the demons in the chest with her feet knocking the demon back against the fountain wall. Eve stands right side up. The demons runs at Eve and moves to punch her. Eve dodges both punches, Ducking far to the side her the third punch Eve kicks the demon in the stomach, the then kicks the demon in chest and with the same foot in the head. Eve then spins around and roundhouse kicks the demon in the head sending him once more against the fountain. At that moment Hercules appears and takes the demon by the head and throws him in the fountain. The demon splashes violently around in the fountain before dissolving into smoke.

Hercules - That particular demon has to be killed in water.

Eve - I know, that's why I lead it here

Hercules - I see you got your focus back, your determination.

Eve - I've got hope and I've got my friends.

Hercules - You also might have away to get Alex back but time is of the essence.

Eve - When isn't it?

Hercules - When the alignment happens the gods will go to Ares fallen temple, where the orb was re discovered.

Eve - But that's in Greece!

Hercules - Don't worry about that I can take you there but it will have to be you alone. Numbers are important anymore and the Gods will be able to tell we out to stop them. One extra heart beat won't be to detectable to their ears, not with the alignment. When the alignment happens Alex will be split in several personas. At this exact moment you must talk to Alex.

Eve - What will I say?

Hercules - How much you care, how much you love her, how much you want her back. It's important that you tell her how much you care. She needs a reason to come back, she's scared Eve. She thinks you will sacrifice her if the gods end up being a threat, you have to let her know that's not the case. If you can make her want to come back at the moment when the gods essence it taken from her to make then new again, then the connection is broken and the gods essence will float away.

Eve- And Alex?

Hercules - She'll be back but she'll need you and others to help her through the trauma. Remember personas that have been with her a long time are going to be extracted and she's going to have to live some of the bad things she's done under their influence.

Eve - I know what she will go through, we've all been through this before.

Hercules - Good then you'll know how to handle it

Eve - Hopefully this time we can do it right.

Hercules - Go home Eve, get some rest, you're going to need it.

Eve - What about the demons?

Hercules - I'll take care of it tonight. You just worry about taking care of Alex.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to the centre the next morning. Eve straps a couple of daggers to her legs, a gauntlet with arrows to her arm and attaches the chakram to her side. Pan over to where Craig, Morgan, Jeff and James are looking at her.

Morgan - That's not going to stop them you know

Eve - No but it will slow them down a bit, long enough for me to talk to Alex

Craig - I still don't understand why I can't come along.

Eve - It's safer this way. The gods will be less likely to detect one mortal rather than two.

Craig - I suppose Herc told you this. I can't believe you are trusting him. This could be a trap

Eve - And it could be our only way to get Alex back.

Craig - And if there isn't? What then?

Eve - I suppose you've already figured that out.

Craig - I don't want to but I'd do what I have to for the greater good

Hercules - (voice) That's exactly what she's afraid of

Everyone turns to see Hercules

Hercules - Alex is scared, really scared, that you will kill her if the Gods are a threat

Craig - And are they?

Hercules - I don't know but if this plan works we don't have to find out.

Eve - You talked to Alex? How is she?

Hercules - She cares about all of you, but she's scared of you. It's not easy being in the position she's in. She let herself be alienated. You've got to show her that no matter what, she's not alone. Are you ready?

Eve - Yes.

Hercules opens up him arm and Eve walks up to stand beside him

James - Good luck Eve

Eve nods as her and Hercules de materialize away.

Fade out from the centre and into space. The planets are almost aligned. Fade in to ruins from a temple, Ares temple. All the gods are there including Alex who is changing from persona to persona ordering all the servants around.

Alex (as Discord) - I want lots of beautiful, strong men. They don't have to be smart just make sure the faces are nice!!

Alex (as Artemis) - Apollo as soon as I get my body back I'm going on a long hunt, make sure the servants have my chariot ready

Alex (as Hades) - Persephone I hope my throne is as I left it, and don't worry I won't leave . . . Evander to suffer in Taterous, I'm not that petty

Alex (as Poseidon) - My sirens make sure a decent pool of water is available for be to re emerge in

Alex (as Athena) - Hurry!! The alignment is almost upon us, our re birth is about to begin, make sure all the planetary crystals are in position, it is necessary for the ceremony!!

Pan over to Cupid and Apollo

Cupid - Is anyone else weirded out by this?

Cut to a fair distance away from the temple. Eve and Hercules materialize in. Eve sways a little

Eve - Whoa!

Hercules - I know, it takes getting used to. I'll make my way up, they'll be expecting me. Keep a fair distance when following me and make sure you keep out of sight until I call for you.

Eve - (catches his arm before he turns away) You didn't have to do any of this, you didn't have to help. I didn't understand at first but I remember what my mother used to say about you. I just want you to know how grateful I am for all of this. Thank you

Hercules - (smiles and pats Eve's arm) I was very fond of your mother. She was a good persona. You are a credit to her and worthy successor (motions toward the chakram) to her legacy.

Hercules smiles and heads toward the temple ruins.

Cut to the temple ruins. Hercules makes his way in toward the circle of Gods.

Alex (as Athena) - We've missed your company brother. Where have you been?

Hercules - You know I remember a time I didn't have to explain my whereabouts to anyone.

Alex as Athena smirks. The sky at that moment becomes a little darker. They all look up and see the sun becoming eclipsed.

Cut to space . We pan from Pluto past Jupiter to the sun. All the planets are aligned. We catch a glimpse of the brightness of the sun. She gleam flashes to the temple ruins. A blue mist rises up around Alex and the wind begins to blow.

Alex (as Athena) IT'S BEGINNING!!! Apollo makes sure Alex is caught when she loses consciousness. Once her life force is fully drained we will give her a proper burial like we did Zeus after all she is the instrument of out re birth.

Apollo - Burial!! What do you mean!!

Hercules - She's going to die?!!

Alex (as Athena) Of course. We will have to drain her fully to become whole again.

Apollo - Why can't we just give her ambrosia after this is done!?

Alex (as Athena) If her conscious is at all awakened at any point before we completely drain her we become trapped inside her. She should have taken the ambrosia before. But she didn't so she dies!!

Cut to behind a huge bolder where Eve lets out a small gasp. She covers her mouth and fights the urge to move

Cut back to the Gods

Persephone - You can't do this!! This wasn't the way it's supposed to be!!!

Alex (as Athena) It is what it is and there is no stopping it now!!

Alex lifts her head up as a high wind and glow comes up around her. The planetary gems start glowing and start shooting coloured beams up to the sky!! Alex begins screaming as the gods spirits looked like they are being teared from her face. We begin to see the faces of the Gods killed during the twilight. Their bodies begin to from in the mist, glow and beams. Alex stands in the midst of all of them and looks very weak but still conscious

Hercules - EVE NOW!!!!

Eve jumps out from behind the boulder and begins running toward Alex and the Gods.

Apollo - (shocked by Eve sudden appearance) STOP HER!!

Cupid spreads his wings suddenly knocking Apollo down

Cupid - (faking surprise) Ooops!

All the servants run toward Eve trying to prevent her from reaching Alex.

One man reaches Eve first and sticks out his hand to grab her. Eve spins around grabbing his arm and coming down on it with a swift chop breaking his arm. She then hits him with the flat of her palm in his chest knocking him down. A second servent attacks with a punch that Eve ducks. Eve then chops him in the throat. She jumps up high and sends a bold front kicks to his chest knocking him into another servant sending them flying crashing through an old temple wall. Several servants runs to attack Eve at once. She kicks a boulder at one knocking them back then uses the boulder to propel herself up and kick all the servants down like she was running along a wall. Some one jumps Eve from behind but she breaks their grip and lift her leg high past her head kicking them in the face.

Cut to Hercules he grabs a servent by the collar and lifts him high over his head. He then uses the servent as a type of shield knocking other servants out of the way. He then runs toward the mass of servants running towards Eve and knocks them all down.

Hercules - EVE GET TO ALEX I'LL HOLD THEM OFF

Hercules uses the human shield and continues to knock servants out of Eve's way. As Eve runs the sirens move to block her way. They open their mouth but Eve shoot two arrows into their throats cutting them off and knocking them down. Eve throws a knife at the third siren not killing her but only knocking her down. Eve tucks in and summer salts over to Alex and the gods who are now only inches away from her. Eve can't get to close to Alex because there seems to be a blue force field surrounding them.

The Gods are getting stronger because their bodies are appearing more solid. Alex although still sold is looking weaker. She seems to be sagging at the knees.

Eve - ALEX!!

Alex looks up at that moment she looks little stronger

Alex - Eve?

Eve - (holds out her hand) I've come for you Alex!! It's o.k I've come to take you home

Alex - Eve? Wha?

Eve - It's o.k. Alex You don't have to be afraid!! You're my friend ,my best friend, and we've been through some tough times and we've always made it though. I need you now so we can make it though this

Alex - You're not mad at me?

Eve - No how could I ever. I care about you Alex more than anything and we can get though this together. You are not alone. Just take my hand!!

Alex smiles a little bit and reaches out slowly her hand just barely penetrating through the shield to Eve's out stretched hand on the other side. Just then Athena's eyes snap open and an angry look crosses her face. She grabs hold of Alex and slams her back then throws a burst of energy though the force field at Eve hitting her right in the chest. Eve is knocked far back and into Hercules. They both fall down.

They look now to the gods. Alex is lying on the ground unconscious. Now Demoes, Discord, Artemis, Athena, Hades, Hephestus, Poseidon rising from the pool of water and the furies flying around them in a cloud of red smoke. Eve and Hercules looks in fear and astonishment.

Athena - You made a big mistake Hercules!! You showed where your loyalties and and for it you will suffer the same fate as the mortals. When we make this world anew you will perish along with the rest of them.

Apollo - WHAT!!

Athena - In seven days the world will be unmade, existence will cease, life will be no more and the universe will be stop. In seven days we will start from scratch and make the universe again in our image, in our way and we will be supreme!!!

The wind rises and lighting strikes as the sun becomes un eclipsed and all the gods de materialize away leaving Eve and Hercules on the ground in the midst of the ruins and smoke.

Cut to the centre. Eve and Hercules materialize in. Eve is dishevelled and fulls of bruises and cuts. Hercules does not look as bad but equally dejected. Morgan, Jeff and james runs over and bring Eve to where she can sit down. Jeff brings out the first aid kit and tends to Eve wounds. She too upset to speak.

Craig - Where's Alex?

Hercules - We failed. The gods were more prepared then I expected, they used to be quite cocky and underestimated everyone. This time . .

Craig - So Alex is . . ?

Hercules - Un conscious and soon to be dead. They lied to everyone even the remaining gods. The gods will fully drain Alex of her life force. She will die.

Eve bursts out in tears

Hercules - And that's not even the worst of it. The Gods plan to destroy the universe. They will literally unmake existence and start again.

Craig - So I was right. Now the universe s going to be swept into oblivion and we've got nothing to show for it. Not even Alex.

Morgan - So what are we going to do. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't want to sit around and wait to die!!

Craig - (grabs out his book) Well maybe if we had that attitude before it wouldn't have come to this.

Jeff - What you have some sort of plan
