Pan over New York city in the night. Fade to the centre. Pan over to the door where James and Eve are standing together having an intimate moment

Eve - I'm glad we got a chance to talk. This whole Aidan/Tristan thing was a long . .

James - Don't worry about it. It's over and done. I'm just sorry about leaving you and Alex in so much danger. I let my own insecurities get in the way. I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?

Eve - Always.

James bends down to kiss Eve.

Cut to across the street from a camera's point of view. A young woman in a blue dress suit with a microphone in hand is standing in front. She checks her hair in the monitor and them smiles broadly

Reporter - I'm here in front the NEW DAYS CENTRE. This centre that sounds like a cheap motel may look perfectly normal but it harbours secrets and it harbours a woman who has the answers that can unlock the secret we are trying to uncover here today. (looks behind her to spot Eve and James kissing in front of the centre) There she is now.(runs across the street still being followed from the camera's point of view) EVE! Excuse me Eve!

Eve and James stop what they're doing and look like two deer caught in headlights.

Eve - Who are you? What is this?

Reporter- I'm an investigative reporter and I'm here to solve the mystery of (booming voice)"Who Killed Craig Summers"

Eve - What!

Eve looks back to James then back to the camera as it moves in for a close up

Cut to The centre in the day. We are still watching from a live camera angle. Alex just walks in but is stopped short when she comes face to face with a camera

Alex - (eyes the camera strangely) What's this?

Eve - (pan over to Eve who has her head in her hands at the bar) Investigative journalism.

Alex - (pan back over to Alex who walks over to the bar) For what? (The reporter pops up from nowhere behind the bar scaring Alex) AHHHH!!!!

Reporter - For (booming voice) "Who Killed Craig Summers?"

Alex and Eve both look around to see where the booming voice and echo was coming from Alex then looks back to the reporter smaller then her

Alex - Excuse me?

Reporter - (booming voice) Who kil . . . .(Alex puts a hand over the reporter's mouth)

Alex - Never mind. Eve, can I have a word in private please?

Alex takes Eve by the arm and drags her into the backroom. The camera follows them in. Eve and Alex don't notice this because their backs are turned

Alex - What the hell is going on?

Eve - I told you. Investigative j . . .

Alex - No kidding! I meant how did she know about Craig?

Eve - I don't know! She just showed up last night out of nowhere claiming that she going to figure out who killed Craig. She and that stupid camera guy have been here since last night snooping around. They chased off James.

Alex - Before you could have the makeup . . . (spots the camera out of the corner of her eye) HEY!

Eve and Alex both turn around and look straight into the camera. They both push him out the door and back into the centre

Alex - Do you mind? This is a private conversation

Reporter - There will be no privacy while I'm around! I'm not leaving until I get some answers. Eve, if you please. (grabs Eve by the arm and drags her back into the backroom with the camera following. She sets up to boxes. She sits Eve down on one and herself on the other) How about a little one on one?

Eve - Do I have a choice?

Reporter - Nope! Now Eve, where are you from?

Eve - Greece

Reporter - Greece?

Eve - Or Rome. Take your pick

Reporter - Greece or Rome. That is interesting. Considering you have a shrine to Eli in your apartment maybe I shouldn't ask not where you are from but when?

Eve - What?

Reporter - Eli was a prophet who died over two thousand years ago. The last known temple dedicated to him is in India and his followers are diminishing rapidly. It is interesting you should mention you are from Greece and Rome when worshipping Eli was at it's height in Greece and Rome over two thousand years ago. Care to comment?

Eve - What has that got to do with anything?

Reporter - Perhaps I should mention the spell book we also found. In it is a message to Craig from his grandmother and a time transferring spell that is marked with a Eli symbol and your name.

Eve - I don't . . .

Reporter - Fess up Eve! Craig brought you here from Ancient Greece and when you found out he wouldn't send you back you killed him so you could use the spells to gain power!!

Eve -(stands up angry) NO! Craig used that spell as a way to bring me here from Ancient Greece so I may continue my mission as Eli's messenger

Reporter - So you are from the past!

Eve - Oops!

Alex - (voice off Camera) Nice going Eve

Reporter - Don't you ever want to go back?

Eve -(sighs and sits back down) Yes, it was my home. But I didn't kill Craig. Craig showed I can still do good here and atone for my actions in my past

Reporter - Actions?

Eve - He convinced me it's alright to fight and protect the people I wish to save with love. I am to turn then away from hate and violence and open them up to truth love and hope. This is my mission and Craig helped me to understand that it can be done in this time. He helped me adjust, brought me back when I could have gone astray. I loved him like a brother. Alex loved him too. We didn't want him to die. We didn't even want him to leave!

Reporter - Leave? Leave where?

Eve - He was going to go to Europe. But we didn't want him to go. You can even ask Alex.

Reporter - I think I will

The reporter walks out of the backroom to the juice bar where Alex is. The camera follows Alex sees the reporter and tries to walk away but the camera blocks her way. Alex faces the reporter who now comes back into view of the camera

Alex - What?

Reporter - Do you help Eve with her mission?

Alex - Yeah I fight the bad guys

Reporter - And do you help her atone for her transgretions

Alex - Heck no! I've got my own I have to worry about. Eve knows what she has to do to atone for her past as Livia

Reporter - Eve the Messenger of Eli used to be Livia the champion of Rome!

Eve - (voice of Camera) Alex!

Alex - Oh (beep)!Eve, I thought you told her already

Reporter - Has Eve ever gone back to her old ways as Livia?

Alex - Well once . . but she lost her memory that time and Craig was the one to pull her out of it and that was over a year ago. She's fought against the urge to become Livia again.

Reporter - Has she ever given in to this urge?

Alex - No.

Reporter - You mentioned atoning for your own actions?

Alex - I've done some things I'm not proud of. What of it?

Reporter - Could it include stopping Craig from going to Europe?

Alex - Look, Craig was my best friend and a vital part of our team. I couldn't just let him go

Reporter - You didn't want him to go at all!! And you would have gone to any lengths to stop him!! But you went to far. You got angry and you killed him!!

Alex - ALRIGHT! THAT'S IT! GET OUT! (Alex grabs the reporter by the shirt and throws her out into the hall into James)

James - (looks at the reporter) Oh, it's you.

Reporter - (looks into the camera) It's James. Eve's boy toy

James - Hey!

Reporter - Tell me, does Alex ever get out of control?

James - Sometimes, but as long as she doesn't fry anyone . . .

Reporter - Fry anyone?

James - (laughs a little) Yeah she can get a little frisky with those energy balls of hers, being three quarters god and all

Eve and Alex - (voice of Camera) JAMES!!!

James - (looking frightened)Uh. . .uh . . uh. This interview is over!

James grabs the camera by the lens and throws it into the Reporter knocking her down to the ground with the camera guy on top and everything goes black

Cut to the Reporter standing inside a Police station.

Reporter - The mystery into Craig Summers death had lead to more questions then answers. First, we have Eve the Messenger of Eli taken out of the past by a spell used by Craig so she may fulfill her mission while atoning for the horrible acts she committed as Livia the Champion of Rome. Next we have Alexandra MacKenzie with quite a volatile temper to go with her god like powers. Not a great combination. So what was mild mannered NYU professor Craig Summers doing with these two unpredictable women? Both claimed to have loved him both obviously had the power to save him but didn't. What was their relationship exactly? And what is involved in their mission? To help answer these questions is Eve's newest addition to her "team" Lt Jeff Morrison.

Camera pans out and we see Jeff standing beside the Reporter looking apprehensive

Reporter - So tell us, what was your relationship with Craig?

Jeff - Craig was a good friend of mine. We've known each other for a while. I decided to help Eve and Alex with the mission out of respect when he died

Reporter - So those two used your guilt about his death to rope you into a dangerous life like they roped in Craig.

Jeff - What? No! You've got it backwards. Craig was the one who knew about the demons first. He was the one who started demon fighting in the first place. He got Alex into it and he's the one who brought Eve here.

Reporter - Demon fighting?

Jeff - (slaps his forehead) Damn it! Alex called me and told me you had a way of worming information out of people.

Reporter - Hey I can't help it if your are all unnaturally loose lipped. You've spilled the beans now so keep it coming.

Jeff - (sighs) This may be hard for you to believe but there are demons in this city. Craig took it upon himself to protect the people from them. Alex, who didn't know about her god hood until last year, decided to help him. They brought Eve who has tangled with the forces of hell before to help them fight. Craig was like the leader He was the stable force in their lives. They weren't about to shut that out. You see, that's why they couldn't have killed him.

Reporter - If he was like the leader, why was he going to leave for Europe?

Jeff - Lucifer's wrath had died down for a while so Craig thought Eve and Alex were stable and strong enough to fight the remaining demons that plagued New York for awhile.

Reporter - So has Eve made many enemies? Enemies that might have wanted Craig dead to hurt Eve?

Jeff - Not that I know of. She saved a lot of people and any demonic enemies that have come along she has gotten rid of including the ones that were after her because she used to be Livia.(his phone rings) Hold on a sec.(turns around and answers it)Hello?

Reporter - Interesting. Who was after her because she was Livia?

Jeff - What? Uh no no Alex I haven't said anything to her at all. In fact she's here right now and I'm throwing her out (grabs the reporter by her shirt and throws her out the back door then does the same with the camera into the alleyway behind the precinct)

Reporter - Hey! YOU CAN'T DO THIS! FREEDOM OF THE PRESS! JERK!

Jeff - Go to hell (slams the door)

The reporter turns around and faces the camera

Reporter - Considering this now calls for extreme measures, I think I will.

Cut to fire sprouting up in a red domain. The camera view pans to the left. There is the reporter.

Reporter - I am now here in hell. And as you may have already figured out, I am no ordinary reporter.

In the background we see Lucifer coming into view.

Reporter - Ah here comes the Prince of Darkness now. Maybe he can shed some light on the relationships between Eve and her demonic enemies.(walks over to him) Excuse me? Lucifer, could I have a word?

Lucifer - Who the (beep) are you?

Reporter - A reporter trying to find out(booming voice) "Who killed Craig Summers?"

Lucifer - (looks all around for where the echo is coming from) What the . . ?

Reporter - How do you feel about Eve?

Lucifer - How dare you mention her name in my presence!?!?

Reporter - I take it you don't like her then?

Lucifer - Actually it's her mother I don't like but now that you mention it, Eve does piss the (beep) right out of me. She keeps spoiling my plans to pour my realm on to earth.

Reporter - But Craig was the one who started fighting demons and preventing that from happening

Lucifer - Why the (beep) do you think he brought Eve to this time? For a (beep)ing tea party? No, he brought her here because he couldn't do it by himself.

Reporter - Do you try to have her killed?

Lucifer - Do I know you? You look familiar. Are you one of mine?

Reporter - Well now that you mention it you do look like a guy I used to date but please try not to avoid the question.

Lucifer - Why are you bothering me? There's other guys who have grudges against Eve. Especially for when she was Livia. If they want to destroy her why should I (beep)ing stop them.

Reporter - Good point. Do you know where I can find some of them?

Lucifer - Try the river Styx. Now (beep) off

Lucifer walks off leaving the reporter waving a hand in front of her face.

Reporter - Hasn't that guy ever heard of a breath mint.

Cut to the river Styx. The reporter has her back to the camera and is walking along a line of people.

Reporter - Excuse me? Hello? People listen up! Is there anyone here who has a grudge against Livia the Champion of Rome?

The whole line of people grumble and shout in hatred

Reporter - Okay. Is there anyone here who has a grudge against Livia and tried to take her down recently as she is now Eve.

The reporter sees and hand raise up. She walks over to it. The camera view pans around to the front and we see the hand belongs to Aidan. He still has the black X on his forehead

Reporter - And who are you?

Aidan - The name is Aidan. Formally known as Tristan. Livia ruined my life.

Reporter - And she sent you here?

Aidan - Oh no. The basterd that I was working with sent me here. He killed me when I failed to kill Livia's friend.

Reporter - You tried to kill Craig?

Aidan - No. I tried to kill her filthy half god friend Alex

Reporter - She's three quarters god

Aidan - What ever!

Reporter - Why did your partner want Alex to be killed?

Aidan - He also has a huge grudge against Livia. Although he went to greater lengths to destroy her. He's the guy who gave me the golden apple to become immortal over two thousand years ago and then tracked me down and told me Livia was in New York. Killing Alex was part of our plan to make Livia pay for our suffering. By killing her friends and those she loves she will suffer greatly

Reporter - So who is this guy you're working with?

Aidan - I don't know. He used to work for some ancient prophet known as Iridan. (points to the X on his forehead) That freak left me with a lovely little parting gift. It's supposed to Iridan's symbol. All I know is if any guy is going to destroy Livia it will be him. He knows no mercy. He will make her suffer like she made him suffer.

Cut to just outside the centre. The reporter is standing next to the doors.

Reporter - It all seems to add up. Now all we need is a confession.

Cut to inside the centre. The reporter has her back to the camera as she walks in. Eve Alex and Jeff all look over to her is surprise as she barges in.

Reporter - Eve as the messenger of Eli, you were brought here by Craig to continue your mission of preaching the word of love while keeping the realms of hell from spreading on to earth, therefore atoning for your action as Livia.

Eve - What are you going on about?

Reporter - We know of your horrid past. It is for your actions as Livia that has made you many enemies.

Alex - Hey back off!

Eve - Stop!

Reporter - ENEMIES THAT WANT YOU TO SUFFER

Eve - (tears) Stop it!

Reporter - THEREFORE IT IS YOUR FAULT CRAIG IS DEAD!!

Eve - NO!!

Eve raises a sword runs over in fury and tears and stabs the reporter through the stomach

COMMERCIAL

Cut to the centre from a camera view angle. It is looking down upon the reporter who has fallen dead to the ground, the sword sticking up out of her stomach. The view pans up to Eve who stands there looking like she is about to have a heart attack. Alex and Jeff just stand there shocked.

Alex - Eve! What have you done?

Eve - I don't know. I just . . . I couldn't . . . I

Reporter - Ow!

The camera looks down on the reporter who is getting up off the floor. The sword is sticking right through her. She turns around to face the camera. Her eyes are yellow and sunken in and her face is creased with lines and bumps.

Reporter - Cut!

Cut back to regular pov. The Reporter shoots fire from her fingers and incinerate the cameraman and the camera to dust. She turns back around to Alex and Jeff who are now armed with swords and Eve who is armed with her chakram.

Reporter - (points to the sword sticking out of her stomach) Okay, Unnessecary. (takes the sword out of her stomach) Ouch. A sword. I hate it when they use swords

Alex - You're a vengeance demon.

Eve - A vengence demon. Well that explains why I didn't have to think twice about killing her. Not to mention the booming voice and how she was able to pry information from us so easily.

Reporter - Booming voice? Yes. Your willingness to spew out information? Not so much And it's justice demon, FYI.

Jeff - Justice? Justice for what?

Reporter - Duh. For who killed Craig Summers

Eve - How'd you find out about him?

Reporter - Your actions may go unnoticed here Eve but in other realms we happen to notice when a soul doesn't show up after departing from it's body.

Alex - What do you mean?

Reporter - Craig's soul didn't move on to the afterlife. That's means he was killed unjustly and can't move on until justice is served. Thus I've gone undercover to find out who killed him and make sure justice is served.

Alex - What are you? Some kind of reporter from hell?

Reporter - A hell realm? Yes. The big man upstairs hates it when I go out. He doesn't like me handing out death warrants to justify someone else's death

Eve - Because death does not justify death.

Reporter - Blah Blah Blah. Just confess Eve and we can be done with it.

Eve - I didn't kill him. A demon killed him.

Reporter - Hello? Don't you think I already looked into that. The demon that actually hands on killed him? Was he big, green, long dark hair, yellow eyes, big horns curing around his ears.

Eve - Yeah.

Reporter - Host demon. Someone or something else was working through that demon. At first I thought it was Aidan but he died after Craig was killed and was only concerned with killing Alex.

Eve - He was killed by a demon too.

Reporter - No, he wasn't. He was killed by his partner. Got a nice X burned into his forehead

Eve - An X?

Jeff - On the night before Craig died that other young man who died had an X burned into his forehead too.

Eve - (remembers seeing the X branded on the forehead of the demon who killed Craig) Not only that but it was on the host demon as well.

Alex - And I remember Aidan saying that he owes his partner for giving him immortality by giving him a golden apple with a X marked on it. He said they teamed up to destroy you.

Eve - (turns to the reporter) Who was the guy that Aidan was working with?

Reporter - I don't know. All I know is he used to work for a prophet called Iridan.

Eve - Oh no

*Flashback*

A warrior on horseback rides through the crowd. He has long dark curly hair and an X that looks like it was burned into his forehead.

Warrior - THE GOD OF IRIDAN LIVES ON IN HIS PEOPLE!

*End Flashback*

Eve - Thuvan.

Alex - Who?

Eve - (sad whisper)Thuvan was a warlord who followed these teachings of a prophet named Iridan. As Livia I made him watch while I tortured his family

Alex - Oh Eve.

Jeff - This guy must be pretty bad ass if he's in Hell and using demons to enact his revenge on you.

Reporter - Sorry Eve but you provoked this incident. I'm going to have to take you in.

Eve puts her chakram to the Reporter's throat while Jeff puts a sword the same place and Alex is in the middle her hand lighting up with blue energy.

Reporter - Or I could just leave.

Eve, Jeff and Alex nod and the Reporter backs away slowly before turning and running out of the centre.

Eve sits down on a chair and sighs

Eve - It is my fault.

Cut to a dark room. The reporter still in demon form steps into a spot light. We pan over to a man sitting in a chair. It is dark and we can not see his face

Man -(deep but raspy voice) What news of Lucifer?

Reporter - He's let you be. He's gave you a demon body and demons for the first part of your plan but now he's washed his hands of you. He doesn't care how you destroy Eve just as long as she is dead.

Man - And what of Eve?

Reporter - She knows.

Man - And?

Reporter - She's feeling guilty

Man - Good. I'm ready to proceed

Reporter - Are you done with me now Master Thuvan?

Man - Yes

The man puts his hand up and a glow begins to engulf the reporter. She screams in agony as an X is burned into her forehead. She falls down dead.

Man - You're next Eve

Fade to black
