Craig - I saw you fight that person Eve. They anticipated your every move and knew how to counter it. She kicked your ass. Who ever this person is, they know your every move. They are your equal. And with these demons we are at a serious disadvantage.
Morgan - I don't get it. Who was that person?
Eve - I don't know. I don't understand it either.

Morgan - But Jeff is different. He really is a good guy. I feel like he's the one I can trust, and that's not an easy task (laughs a little)

Danielle - I will be his sole heir, the only one he can trust. Oh Dad will be hurt when he hears about your gang wars and he will be devastated when he hears about his other daughters tragic accident, but he'll get over it and he'll forget about it.
Morgan - Why? I thought you were supposed to be fighting the darkness within you?
Danielle - (feigning innocence) Did I say that? Oh I meant the shaman told me to embrace the darkness within me. Only then will I find power, peace and happiness.

Danielle - I can have my revenge.
Figure - The best kind
Danielle - (smirks) I'm in.

James - I think I need to go away for awhile. I need to go back to my Mom in Jersey. I need to get away from this, away from the demons. I should tell my Mom what's going on and maybe try to find Carrie. I just need some time.

From "In His Eyes"
Voice at the door - Eve?
Eve turns around and looks at James standing there with his backpack and suit case at the doorway. He looks well rested and he is smiling.
Eve- (smiles) James!

James at the door drops his bags and walks over to Eve and gives her a hug and she hugs back with happiness.

Eve - I didn't expect you back so soon

James - I felt it was time to come back

Eve - And?

James - Uhh . . . no sign of Carrie. Which could be good or bad and I haven't decided which yet. I told my Mom everything. She thinks I'm crazy of course but after she saw that "COPS" Episode, she thinks it makes more sense then me being in some gang. She's dealing with it so I think things are going to be okay . . . . And I've done a lot of thinking . . . about being here, this mission and you.

Eve - Oh?

James - When I left, I was so confused but being away from everything made me realise how much I missed it?

Eve – You miss the fighting and the demons?

James – No . . . I miss being a part of something. I miss knowing that I’m not where I need to be to protecting what we all hold so dear, choice and freedom. I started writing again. I’ve been writing about you and me and everyone and our adventures and everything we have all been through and I realized something as I wrote. There were so many times when any one of us could have just split or could have passed over completely into darkness never to come back but we didn't. We didn't because you were always there, like this beacon of light in the dark.

Eve - I wouldn't be half as strong as I am now if it wasn't for my friends. I need you to be my beacon in the dark. When I ever I doubt myself you’re all there to keep me strong. As my family you remind me why I need to continue on

James - Exactly. We need each other. That’s why I came back. You need my help. What ever happens, we can get through it. What ever is thrown our way, we will face it head on and survive. We've come too far to be thrown down now. Your friends are with you Eve. (hands Eve piece of paper. She reads it out loud)

Eve - (smiles)"I sing of the Messenger and those who fight beside her. The Wiccan, The God, The Vigilante, The Amazon and . . . The Visionary. I sing of a mission to bring freedom and choice, peace and love, home and light to a world and a time trapped in darkness and demons. I sing of a mission so daring that it can only be accomplished by a friendship that transcends time and all odds."

Eve jumps into James arms giving him a big huh. Fade out of this scene

Fade into a dark sparse room. Danielle is standing there looking defiant and bored. The Masked Figure circles around her.

Figure - You grow impatient

Danielle - Yeah

Figure - You want your revenge

Danielle - Well duh!

The figure strikes at Danielle from behind. Danielle catches the arm and flips the figure over her shoulder. The figure lands on their feet and kicks Danielle in the gut knocking her down.

Figure - You are not ready.

The figure walks away leaving Danielle on the ground. Danielle gets up scowling.

Danielle - The hell I am. Get ready Morgan because "big sis" here has a little surprise ready for you. It's time you have a much needed reunion with your dead mother!

Fade into a bar panning to the left. Jeff is sitting at the bar sort of zoning out as he stares into his glass that is filled with a clear liquid. He hears a voice from the side.

Male Voice - Well Well Well looks what the cat dragged in.

Jeff - (looks up and sees a 30 something Chinese man standing there with a bit of a smile on his face) Woo Woo Danny Woo!

Jeff gets up and him and Danny embrace like old friends. Danny looks at the glass

Danny - Drinking?

Jeff - Soda Water I swear! Wanna sniff?

Danny - (takes off his jacket and sits down) No that's o.k. I trust you. Keeping clean?

Jeff - Would I disappoint my sponsor?

Danny - (smiles)No but I wonder what's brought you back this way after all this time and what has you looking so sad.

Jeff -(looks around) Just remembering a time when things weren't as complicated

Danny - Does this have anything to do with that COPS Episode last year and you leaving the force?

Jeff - You make up your own mind on that one but I was put into a situation that was set up for me to fail and I was not going to let them fire me for something I had no control over. There was only one choice I could make and I chose to help my friends.

Danny – And what are you doing now?

Jeff - Free lance detective work and it's working out. I'm still helping people, doing what I was meant to

Danny - Good for you man. I see some corruption in the force now and sometimes I wonder if it would be best to leave but I have a family to think about. I wish I had your courage. . . So if that's working out why are you so down?

Jeff - Girl troubles

Danny - Girl troubles?

Jeff - My girl friend or former girl friend Morgan. It's a long story

Danny - Well lucky you. I got time

Jeff - ( hesitates) It's complicated and the situation . . . well I'm not sure you'd understand.

Danny - Well sometimes it good to tell someone with an outside look, it gives you a new perspective. So come on, lay it on me.

Jeff looks at Danny sighs, nods and turns to him to tell him.

Open with a pan along the Manhattan skyline. Fade to Morgan's loft. Fade into where she is feeding the hybrids in the storage room. The hybrids take the food and greedily eat it, wolfing it down.

Morgan - I wonder if the absence of manners is a demon thing or a college thing.

Jeff (voice)- Probably a college thing

Morgan whips around and Jeff is behind her at the doorway, leaning against the frame.

Morgan - (nervous) Hey.

Jeff - How's the rehabilitation going?

Morgan - Slow. (mimics Eve a little) Love and Patience Love and Patience . . . My love and patience is wearing thin.

Jeff - (nods and looks around the room trying to pass the awkward silence) You wanna go out tonight, after patrol. Coffee or something.

Morgan - Haven't we passed the coffee stage?

Jeff - Well I kind of feel like we have to start some where. Back at square one seems like a good place.

Morgan – I don’t think we should start anything

Jeff - Everything is so awkward, I don't know what to say to you half the time.

Morgan - Then maybe you shouldn't say anything at all.

Jeff - Why won't you trust me? Why won't you tell me anything? We were working out so well, you were just starting to tell me things until your father and Dan . . . .

Morgan - DON'T! . . .Don't say her name.

Jeff - I'm not going to hurt you, I'm not going to leave. Not like Nick, not like your father and not like her.

Morgan - Yeah but I might

Jeff - What?

Morgan - Eventually I'll have to go to England to see my sisters and I don't know how long I'll be there for. And let’s face it Jeff I'm not exactly a great person. I'm bad tempered, I don't trust anyone and romantic love is not an easy concept for me to grasp, hence my bad relationships. I don't want to hurt you and I just don't trust myself enough to not. I can't be in a relationship with you.

Fade from Morgan and into the bar where Jeff and Danny are.

Jeff - . . . And that was this morning. We just left it there.

Danny - (sighs)Wow . . . And this Danielle person just freaked on Morgan. She left their father thinking the worse, made him leave Morgan again which just re affirmed her distrust in men and confirming her belief that she can't be in a good relationship?

Jeff - More or less.

Danny - Paging Dr Phil. Well you have my sympathy. What were those things she was taking care of in the cages . . . animals.

Jeff - Uhhhh . . . Yeah. She uh . . .takes in strays.

Danny - She sounds like a stray herself. What was this group she used to travel with?

Jeff – (uncomfortable with lying but thinks up something quick) Uber feminists, kinda like Amazons.

Danny - Well I guess that doesn't help the trusting men thing. Hey was she part of Raven Simons, Warrior Women group or something?

Jeff – No Morgan just came here last year, she not from here. Aren't you supposed to be helping me figure this out?

Danny - Sorry man I'm just here for a good story cause I don't know what to tell you. This whole thing maybe be complicated but if you really care about this girl and she really cares about you and you were meant to be then things should just fall into place. If not then you got to let her go.

Jeff - (sighs and nods) So enough about me. How about you? What are you doing?

Danny - Wife's good and we're having another baby.

Jeff - Congrats man

Danny - My niece was driving me insane but after a scare a couple years back she's really settled down and she's graduating from University with honours.

Jeff - And Pez?

Danny - (smiles) Ah . . . I was wondering when you'd ask about our dear detective Sara Pezzini

Jeff - Well . . . I guess some old flames never die.

Danny - Well Pez . . . You know sometimes I wonder if she is losing her mind or if she is one of the best detectives on the force. She's the most intuitive women I've ever met, it's like she sees things before it can happen. And other times she just totally spaces out and then acts like nothing is wrong.

Jeff - Ahh Pez has always been different but she's strong and compassionate. She . . . well she really took to showing me the ropes when I was training as a rookie. I guess she always knew her way around since her Dad was a cop. She didn't look at me like a recovering alcoholic either she saw me as a guy who wants to make a difference.

Danny - One of the many reasons why you fell for her?

Jeff - Yeah . . . yeah. Pez is something alright. Of course I wouldn't have gotten anywhere in my life if it wasn't for you.

Danny - Ah don't get all mushy on me

Jeff - I'm serious man. You dragged me out of the gutter and you saved my life.

Fade from Jeff and Danny to some Alleyway in New York city 12 years ago

1993

Fade to Danny and Sara walking the beat around the streets.

Sara - Are you bored with this?

Danny - (laughs a little) Come on Sara, we're walking the beat, it's part of the gig until we're more "experienced"

Sara - This is not exactly what I signed on for.

Danny - You got too much of your father in you Sara. Calm down, don't be such in a rush to take on the world.

Sara - Danny this world has gone insane!

Sara and Danny are interrupted by a commotion along the outskirts of an alley spilling on to the street. They see a young man of 17 rummaging through garbage cans, holding an almost empty rum bottle in his hands. It's a very scruffy looking and very drunk Jeff

Danny - It's just a drunk.

Danny and Sara are about to move on when he starts to cause more of a commotion. He is mumbling in coherently pushing past certain people and grabbing a woman by the arm before she shakes him off. He seems to be creating quite a stir.

Danny - (sighs) Come on. Let's get him off the street before he hurts someone or himself.

Danny - (walking over to Jeff) Come on buddy let's go

Jeff - (pushes him off roughly) NO!!

Sara - (softly trying to calm him down) Come on we're just going to go for a little ride J

eff - NO NO NO!! YOU'RE PART OF THE CONSPIRACY!! I KNOW I KNOW BUT YOU WON'T GET ME!!

Jeff pushes both Danny and Sara down and runs into the alley way.

Danny – Bored now?

Sara - This isn't what I meant.

Sara and Danny run down the alley way after Jeff. Jeff tries to get away by pushing junk and garbage cans down behind him trying to block their path but Sara and Danny jump effortlessly over the junk and continue pursuit. Jeff looks panicked as he runs and tries to run faster getting out of breath. He looks behind him to see if they are still on his trail and in the process trip over his own feet falling flat on his face. Danny and Sara slow down and slowly approach him. Jeff sees this and tries to scramble away. He's heaving and is drastically out of breath.

Danny - O.K.! O.K. Just calm down and take a deep breath. We're not going to hurt you.

Jeff continues to shake his head and scramble away and he heaves. Sara brings out a puffer to give him but Jeff freaks out more.

Jeff -AHHH!! GET THAT AWAY FROM ME. GOVERMENTMENT CONSPIRACY!!!

Sara - This guy's nuts!

Danny - Quit it Sara he's just a kid.(trying to calm Jeff down) Calm down Calm down. Deep breaths, deep breaths.

Jeff slows down a bit and stops his struggling. He takes a few deep breaths and his breathing return to normal. Sara and Danny haul Jeff up on to his feet but he collapses

Danny - O.k. this guys has had a little too much excitement for one night. Let's take him home. What's your name man?

Jeff - (mumbling) Jeff

Cut to Danny in the back seat of the police car with Jeff and Sara is up front driving. Jeff is half waking half unconscious, mumbling to himself.

Danny - Ok. come on Jeff, stay with me man! He doesn't have alcohol poisoning but I don't want him to pass out and then choke on his own vomit. Come on Jeff, talk to me.

Jeff - Sucks . . . . this world . . . nothing, nothing good . . . people don't care . . . they hurtful . . . mean . . . and no one cares, no one . . . nothing can be done . . .no hope . . .so cold just so cold . . .

Jeff continues with his mumbling but his words have an effect on Sara and Danny.

Fade to the next day in front of a modest house. Danny in a squad car drives up to the curb just as Jeff with a pack slung over his shoulder and a rum bottle in his hand walks out and slams the door behind him. He seems a little sober today. Danny gets out and stops him.

Danny - Hey Jeff, how’s the hangover?

Jeff - (looks at him confused) You're . . . you're the cop . . . the cop who helped me last night. What are you doing here?

Danny - Checking up on you. You had a lot of people upset last night including your mother when we dropped you off.

Jeff - Yeah. I know. I just got kicked out. Drinking too much.

Jeff tries to push Danny aside but Danny doesn't budge and holds Jeff off.

Jeff - Yo man what is your problem?

Danny - You want to know the reason why I'm here. You said some things that really got to me last night. How can you believe there's no good left in the world?

Jeff - (points to his house) I got proof in there. I call her mom.

Danny - Well you're right about some things. The world isn't a friendly place but you're wrong when you say no one cares. I wouldn't be here if I didn't. Most of the cops in this city wouldn't be doing what they are doing if they didn't believe they could make a difference. The world isn't how it should be, but that's why there's us. To show it what it can be, to protect it from what is doesn't want to be.

Jeff - You do that? You try to help people. Even though there are people who won't have the same compassion, even when there are people who would more likely kill you?

Danny - Do you want to kill me?

Jeff – No. . . You helped me. I don’t want to hurt you

Danny – Then I’ve done my job and it's little things like that, that make it worthwhile.

Jeff - But I've done some horrible things.

Danny - There's always room for forgiveness. You can't change the past but you can make the future better. (looks to the window where a young girl peaks out from behind a curtain.) That your sister?

Jeff - Yeah.

Danny – Do you want her to fall into your path?

Jeff – No!

Danny – Then change. Set a better example.You can make this a better place for her too?

Jeff - (has hope in his voice and his heart) How do I do that?

Danny - (takes the bottle out of his hand) You can start by stop drinking. If you come with me I can help you get clean.

Fade to a variety of scenes of Jeff working hard in rehab, meeting Craig, and finally going to the police academy and working hard training until reaching his goal of being a police officer.

Jeff - (voice over) You changed me Danny. It because of you and Sara that I wanted to change my life and become a police officer. I finally started to believe that the world wasn’t all cold and hurtful as long as there were people who care and make a difference.

Fade out from the memory back to the present.

Jeff - Times have changed since then and they way I do things have . . .evolved but the ideology is still the same and I'm doing it. I'm still protecting people and helping them. And I've been able to help a lot of kids since then get clean. I also help in setting up these programs and counseling to get kids off the streets and away from drugs.

Danny - I'm proud of you man.

Jeff - And the good things to know is that I'm not alone. I've got help and it's working.

Danny - Sounds like a good deal. Despite the girl troubles, you got people who really care and in turn you care for the rest of world.

Jeff - (realizes something) Yeah. Yeah I really do. Hey you should come meet Eve. She's the girl who has started these programs. She's got a lot of kids off the streets.

Danny - Yeah sure. I got some time. Where's she at?

Jeff - (gets up with Danny and heads out of the bar)New Days Centre? Heard of it?

Danny - Sounds like a motel.

Cut to the centre. Morgan finishes working out on one of the machines and towels off. She takes a sip from her water as she walks up to Eve who is smiling broadly as she works at the counter.

Morgan – What are you so happy about. You smiling so much I want to puke

Eve - Thanks

Morgan - So what's with the constant smiles.

Eve - Everything is just better. Everything this centre is supposed to be doing is working. All the kids programs are back up. Two new charities started up and I helped out three more and I'm monitoring two counseling sessions today, with two licensed councilors.

Morgan - You have been a busy bee. (stops short when she sees a whistling James go by) But I can see those aren't your only reasons. Hey James!

James - Oh hey Morgan!

Morgan - Welcome back!(looks to Eve with her eyebrow raised in interest)

Eve - Don't look at me like that. Of course I'm glad he's back. It makes me believe all the more that my friends are with me and in turn I can be there for them.

Morgan - Oh yeah sure . . .

Eve - Have you . . .talked to Jeff recently

Morgan - (her amused mood suddenly sours) Yeah and before you get on my back about it I told him that I can't have a relationship.

Eve - You can't seal yourself away from love forever Morgan just to avoid some of the pain that goes with it. It's part of the package, nothing is perfect. Do you know how he feels about you?

Morgan - I know he cares . . .

Eve - It's more then that. You two are the most unlikely pair to get together but you share a bond that's genuine and true.

Morgan - I just don't want to hurt him.

Eve - You cause him pain the more you push him away.

Morgan -(rolls her eyes annoyed) Oh go council something!

Morgan stalks off as Eve looks upward.

Eve - Give me strength

Cut to Morgan walking away from the centre. She's in slightly perturbed mood and is not paying attention as she passes by people in the street. She turns a corner and bumps into someone. She looks up and sees Danielle.

Danielle - Hello Sister dear!

Danielle punches Morgan and stabs her with a tazer gun making sure she is really out. Danielle then smiles evilly and pulls Morgan down an alley and into the shallows

COMMERCIAL

"Anything but Ordinary" by Avril Lavigne plays in the background at the centre when Eve comes out of one of the rooms saying bye to the people who left the meeting, patting a councilor on the back and stops a little to dodge a few happily playing kids. She smiles and walks back up to the bar, She sees Jeff and Danny come it.

Eve - Well hey!

Jeff – Hey! I want you to meet someone. Danny, this is Eve, she is the girl responsible for most of the good stuff going on in New York, these days.

Eve - I think you give me more credit the I deserve, I'm just trying to help.

Jeff - Eve, this is Danny. He's the reason, why I became a cop. The guy who helped me just cause he's a good person.

Eve - (smiles and shakes Danny's hand) It's wonderful to meet you. So your the man who showed Jeff there is good in this world.

Danny - Well I think you're giving me more credit then I deserve too but I was glad to help and seeing how Jeff turned out is one of the reason that make my job worth doing. I wish everyone like him turned out so well.

Eve - Well I just finished a session working with recovering alcoholics. It would do some of them good to hear from people like you and Jeff, they need some inspiration and hope. Some are losing faith.

Danny - Sure I can help. Jeff tells me you do a lot like that around here.

Eve - It's overwhelming sometimes but we must use the time that we have wisely and hope it makes a difference.

Jeff - You're in good spirits.

Eve - I remembered some wise words

James (walks by) Hey Jeff!

Eve - And James is back

Jeff - (knowing look) Uh huh. So . . .( looks around) Have you seen Morgan lately?

Eve – She was here not that long ago but she went home. (a bit of a guilty look) I kind of ticked her off earlier.

Jeff - You didn't tell her . . .

Eve - Maybe a little.

Jeff sighs and leans against the bar.

Eve - (to Danny) Girl troubles

Danny - So I heard.

Eve - She's a little hot headed not to mention she could probably bench press anyone of us.

Danny - Jeff's got a thing for strong women

Eve - (since this is new info for her she looks to Jeff) Really?

Suddenly, just then a smoking canister crashes though the window, startling everyone.

Male voice - A BOMB!!

Everyone screams and panics

James - EVERYONE GET DOWN!!

Every one gets down on the ground covering their hands over their heads. As everyone does this through Eve runs over and kicks the canister out the window it came. It blows up once reaching outside and shatters all the windows. Everyone screams again hearing the explosion. Danny and Jeff immediately act.

Danny - All right everyone, get up move out.

Jeff - (goes around helping people up keeping them calm and moving them out in a orderly fashion) Say together now that's it. Take it easy, no one's hurt just make your way outside.

Cut to outside. Everyone is outside confused at what just happened. Eve and James are outside looking at the damage done to the windows.

James - Damn. Those weren't even a year old.

Eve - A least it wasn't the wall. I can't tell you how many buckets of plaster we used to had to use.

Jeff and Danny walk over

Danny - This is going to have to be reported you know.

Eve - Is anyone hurt?

Danny - Everyone's fine. Scared and confused but nothing fatal. You?

Eve - I'll be fine

James - It's sure going to ruin business though

Jeff - What the hell just happened?

James - A bomb blew up?

Jeff - Yeah but why the centre, why now and who would do something like that?

Eve is looking around her she spots a small black box amongst the remains of the canister that blew up.

Eve - I think it was just to get our attention

Eve walks over and picks the small black box up.

Danny - I should get a team over here so we can look over the site and analyze everything. We'll have a better chance of catching whoever did this if nothing is tempered with (sees Eve opening the box) NO WAIT!

Eve opens the box as everyone braces for something to happen but nothing does. There is just a note inside the box. Eve drops the box on the ground and reads it. Her eyes open wide.

Jeff - What?

Eve - Jeff, Morgan’s been kidnapped.

Jeff – What?!! What does it say? What happened?

Eve - I don't know! It just says Morgan’s been taken to pay for what she's done

Jeff - We've got save her!!

Danny - Calm down. They might just want ransom

Jeff - You don't understand Danny! She is in some major trouble We got to find her!!!

Danny - Is there any ransom? Does someone want to negotiate a trade?

Eve – There’s nothing more except what is says in the note but maybe your right? (looks to Jeff) We’ve never had anything like this before Jeff?

Jeff- But usually when there is a kidnapping it because they want something, money, freedom, but our enemies aren’t like that Eve.

James - Where do we even start looking for her?

Danny - (still focussed on what Jeff said)Enemies?

Jeff – (hunches down with his elbows on his knees and his head in his heads. Oh God! I have no idea what to do. I don't have nearly enough information that I used to. I don't have the resources I did as a cop. Someone's going to kill Morgan and I can't do anything in a city this big.

Danny – (feels sorry for him nd kneels down by his side putting a hand on his back) Jeff I'll take the letter, the box and the canister to be analyzed o.k. I'll bring you all your old case files to look over. You can check all your old cases for anything similar but in the mean time write down anything you remember about all and anyone that you’re assoicated with that might want to hurt you and Morgan.. She's out there, we'll find her. We'll do it together.

Eve - ( whispers to James) Call Craig and get something of Morgan' s to scrye for her. We have to find her. Who knows who's got her or what they are doing to her.

Fade from Eve to Morgan unconscious and tied up in the back of a pick up truck. Pan along the pick up truck to find Danielle smiling contently as she is driving in front. Pan out to see two demons sitting next to her.

Fade from this scene to Jeff in Eve’s apartment. He is sitting at the table looking at all his old case files. He comes across a box that is marked unsolved. He looks through a file and remembers eight years ago.

*Flashback*

1997

Jeff, now a 21 year old rookie of the force, is shooting rounds at the firing range. Sara Pezzini walks in with goggles and ear plugs. Jeff finishes his round. He sees Sara and takes of the his own ear protection and goggles.

Jeff - Hey!

Sara - Hey. This is like the fifth time you've been in this week. It's like every time you have some spare time you're either doing paper work or practicing your technique.

Jeff - If you don't use them you lose them. Perishable skills Pez!

Sara - I like that. Mind if I use it and take the credit?

Jeff - (laughs)It's all yours.

Sara - That was easy. Is there a reason for your generous mood ?

Jeff - I started talking with my family again. It's part of my on going rehabilitation. My family wants to be apart of my life again and I have you and Danny to thank for getting me on the right path.

Sara - Hey Danny got you on the right path. I just drove you home.

Jeff - You helped me here Sara. You believed in me, got me in here, showed me the ropes. I owe you a lot.

Sara - (nods) O.k. . . . so when are you going to ask me out?

Jeff - Sorry?

Sara - Ah come on Jeff. I know the rumors and that little speech there just proved them true. You think I'm hot?

Jeff - (stunned) Uhhhh

Sara - I'd ask you out but I'm the chick

Jeff - (smiles) So you wanna go out?

Sara - (smiles back) Yeah

Fade to a montage of different scenes over a period of time where Jeff and Sara go out on a variety of dates. Bowling, shooting pool, hanging out at a par. Walking down the street arms around each other in the winter or holding hands walking through a park in the summer. They have a casual drink or a casual dinner.

Flash to a montage of different scenes over a period of time where Jeff and Sara are investigating different cases, murder, robbery, or at the shooting range, working with SWAT or just doing paper work.

Fade to one case. Jeff and Pez are at their desks. Jeff is looking at the photo of the body of a dead girl laying on the floor of a vacant club. Pez is looking through the case file. Jeff shakes his head in sadness.

Jeff - Poor girl. Tragic, the way she died.

Sara - This case is bothering me. Nothing adds up. The clues don't make any sense and the clues we do have don't match the profiles. Any leads we've had comes up empty, the suspects walk free. The autopsy is inconclusive. There is nothing to go on. And what's worse is we're running out of time.

Danny - (walks up to them) Correction, ran out of time. The Capt wants us to wrap it up. We have to leave it unsolved.

Sara - What?

Danny - There are no new leads and no new suspects we have to move on.

Jeff just sighs and drops the file in a case and marks it unsolved

Sara - (slams her hand on the desk) Damn it! I can't believe were giving up. I mean Jeff come on

Jeff - You think I like giving up, you think I like seeing justice not done. It sucks and it's not what I signed up for but there are other cases out there that can be solved and where justice can be served, and that's our priority

Sara just sits down and scowls while Danny just shrugs his shoulders and takes the case out of the room. Jeff sits back down and sighs.

Jeff - I just wish everything wasn't so complicated.

*End flashback*

Eve puts a hand on Jeff's shoulder and Jeff is jolted out of his memory

Eve - You alright?

Jeff - No. You know, I was just remembering a time not so long ago, where if something didn't go the way I wanted it to I’d complain that everything was too complicated. I didn't realize how simple it was back then, I could just leave it and move on. Everything is so much more complicated now and I can’t just leave it. I won't. Morgan's life depends on it.

Eve - We'll find her

Jeff - How?!(stand up angry ) We've got nothing but a note. There is nothing to go on.

Danny walks in just then holding the note is his hand and a report.

Danny - Hey I got you that analysis. Nothing on the canister and the box and the letter have no finger prints except for Eve's. The markings on it are unidentifiable. However, we analyzed the handwriting. It was defiantly written by a woman by the use of lines and swirls on the lettering. From what we can tell through the handwriting though is she’s not desperate or frustereated but calm and maybe even a little angry. This was planned. (hands to note to Jeff) See the long swoops and the way the letters are slanted to the right. It supports the theory that she didn't want a ransom or anyone to come and negotiate her safety. It's not about money. . .

Eve - It's about revenge.

Danny - So who are your enemies?

Eve – We don’t have enemies that would use this tactic.

Danny - What about you Jeff? We're cops, we've got plenty of people who don't like us for busting them.

Jeff - I've went through all my past cases. Everyone I have put away has stayed away.

Danny - And what about Morgan?

Eve – She hasn’t been here that long the only person who has been any trouble for her is . . . . Danielle! Danielle hates Morgan. She tried to kill her before and then vanished without a trace. She's been preparing for this.

Jeff - Where would she go!

Eve – Morgan said her dad is very weathly. Doesn’t he own a company with strorage houses here in New York or something?

Jeff - Yeah . . .He owns a shipping company, he ships exports from every major dock in the western world.(brings out his cell phone) I've got a couple of contacts, I'll see if there is a Clemont company in New York and if there's been any sightings on the docks.

Danny - I’ll put out an APB

Eve- Don't! Not yet. I don't want to make Danielle nervous. If she was all to calm writing that note like you say then she's way too over confident. Her over confidence will be her undoing.

Danny - You seem awfully sure.

Eve - Let's just say I've a certain intuition about these things.

Danny - Sounds like someone else I know. Jeff trusts you so fine, we'll play it by your rules, for now.

Jeff - (gets off his cell phone) "Gateways". Mr. Roger Clemont, has a few warehouses on the docks. And a young beautiful brunette has just been spotted with a pickup truck going into one of the warehouses. Sounds like Danielle to me

Danny - How can you be sure? It could be anyone and there are a lot of warehouses on the docks. Morgan could be dead before we find her.

Eve - We have ways. Jeff call Craig, I'll get James and I'll meet you at the docks.

Danny - I'm coming with!

Jeff- Wait! . . . You can't!

Danny - (suspicious) Why not? Are you going vigilante on me?

Jeff - No, it's just . . . The squad can't be involved in this.

Danny - Yeah and having me on your side will make this rescue operation legit, not to mention if something goes haywire you'll have me to smooth things over. You need me. (sees Eve and Jeff look hesitant) O.k. there's something you're not telling me. What? Are you going to do something illegal?

Eve - No it's not like that. It's just that there are things that exist beyond the realm of normal law and beyond the enforcement you represent. Danielle could be in league with these forces. You can't stop them. We can. We are the only ones who understand.

Danny - So you're saying I can't know because I can't handle it. Well sorry to disappoint but I've seen more then you can imagine. I'm going with you. You're going to need my help.

Jeff - Danny . . .

Danny - Jeff . . you're my friend and you need my help. Sara would agree if she were here and if it were the other way around, you'd help me too. We're cops man, this is what we do, it's what I've told you from the start. Even when the odds are against us. If there is someone in trouble, we help them, if we can do some good, then we do it, if we can make a difference then we will. So let’s get a move on.

Danny gives them one stern look before heading out and Eve looks at Jeff smiling a little and nods.

Eve - He's a good person to have on our side and he's strong. You should think about telling him.

Jeff - Why?

Eve - Because I think he would understand hearing it from you.

Eve walks out leaving Jeff there alone with the thought.

Fade from Jeff to an unconscious Morgan.

Voice - (gentle at first) Wake up. ( Morgan stirs a little) WAKE UP!!!

Morgan jolts awake. We pan out to see she is tied up her arms tied and held up above her head. Morgan tries to struggle a bit in vain, she looks around at her surroundings and her eyes rest on a smirking Danielle who does a little wave with her fingers.

Morgan - Well what do you know? The bitch is back! I thought I saw the last of you when you ran off after the last time a kicked your ass.

Danielle - (smiles) Well you know what they say. Life's a bitch. And so am I.

Morgan - I didn't think you'd be back for more. Are you such a coward that you have to tie me up to face me?!!! Are you so afraid?

Danielle - Don't be so vain. You know everything isn't always about you!! . . . It's about me! And I want to see you dead. . . . oh yeah and it might a be a little about your friend Eve.

Morgan - Eve . . . What have you got against Eve?

Danielle - Nothing. I couldn't care less about her or the rest of your pitiful little friends. But this girl I'm working with, wow! She really hates Eve. Part of the reason she recruited me. Being able to get my revenge on you sweetened the deal. But I got impatient.

Morgan - They'll find me.

Danielle - They wouldn't know where to look. But your friends aren't stupid. (points down to a small group of demons) That's why I brought them a long for the ride. As for you (braces her self and pulls on a rope pulling Morgan up, stringing her high above a large piece of grinding machinery) I want you to witness every agonizing part of your excruciating death.

Danielle pulls on a couple of levers and a loud noise appears. Morgan looks down over the large machine she is hung over. She sees machine's blades start whirling around really fast. Another level is pulled and Morgan is being lowered down into the grinder really, really slow. She becomes panicked.

COMMERCIAL

Cut to a series of police cars and SWAT vans as they all pull up and skid to a stop, blocking off all entrances to a large warehouse. Dozens of police officers get out and take cover behind cop cars. Jeff and Danny, now detectives, jump out of one police car. Danny immediately takes out a megaphone.

Danny - (megaphone) Assailants! . . .

Suddenly a series of gun shots go off from the warehouse and everyone ducks for cover. Jeff and Danny dive out of the way behind a cop car and take out their guns. Periodically they keep peaking out.

Danny - (looks at the megaphone and throws it away) O.k. I don't think that approach is going to work. Ideas?

Jeff - (thinks for a moment and peaks out. He sees a desperate looking woman with a gun in her hand, through a window, in the warehouse) Tear gas. That's our best bet to flush them out.

Danny - And if they don't co operate?

Jeff - That's what the cavalier vests are for. These guys aren't criminal, they are desperate. There is no need to use force, it will just provoke them. We give these guys a fair trial

Danny - You've come a long way since I've known you.

Jeff - (peaks out again and then looks back and smiles) I had help.

Danny - You know because of your research, you found these guys and you found out they are partly innocent. There is going to be a lot of lives sparred today and it this works, you be promoted. . . . and transferred.

Jeff - Yep. It's a big step, but there is something big waiting for me out on the horizon. I know it.

Danny - (as he peaks out)And Pez? Does she know?

Jeff - (nods) Yeah she knows and she's surprisingly supportive. We knew last year it wasn't going to work. We are on separate paths.

Danny - Oh well you know, Parallel lines, they never meet but they head in the same direction in a similar way. You two might meet up again.

Voice on Walkie-Talkie - Assailants not responding.

Jeff - (responding on his own) Shoot the tear gas and be ready to apprehend when they are out. Do not shoot, we want these guys alive

Jeff and Danny ready their guns just in case

Jeff - You ready?

Danny - Let's do this.

Jeff and Danny bolt out from behind the car.

*flash*

Present Day. It still bright and sunny on the docks. There are several ware houses around. Eve, James, Craig, Jeff and Danny walk into view.

Craig - I hate this. Broad day light. It's just wrong

Danny - Where are you from that most bad guys wait until the night to commit a crime?

Craig - (refusing to answer) I couldn't get anything with the scrye. Danielle is not stupid, she might have used a barrier to prevent us from getting a lock on Morgan's location.

Eve - Which confirmed what we suspected. She has help. That makes her more dangerous.

Danny - What are they talking about?

Jeff - Craig's a wiccan. He has special knowledge of the supernatural. This might be what we're dealing with here.

Danny - You can't be serious.(Jeff looks to Danny with a face showing that he is) What have I gotten myself into?

Eve - James, can you sense anything?

James - (shakes his head) I'm still very weak. Everything is fuzzy. I can't decipher what is true and what is a figment of my imagination. I make a prediction and it's wrong, it'll cost us.

Jeff turns to Danny in an attempt to explain but Danny puts up his hand.

Danny - I don't want to know.

James - It's up to you Eve.

Eve closes her eyes. She has a vision

*flash*
Roger - (steps to the side a little and the woman with long dark hair walks up and gives Morgan a slight hug.) This is Danielle. She's . . . well she's your half sister.

Eve brushes past Roger and Danielle. She stops short and doubles over grabbing her head. In her mind a flurry of images past, consisting of Morgan's child hood, Danielle's childhood, Roger's life, the truth about Morgan's mother and something very dark and evil.

Danielle takes a knife out of her purse and raises it against Morgan

*end flash*

Flash back to Eve's face. She continues to keep her eyes closed as she concentrates. She hears the grinding of a large machine in the background. She opens her eyes and points towards a tall warehouse in the back.

Eve - There

Danny - How can you be sure she's there?

Eve- She is

Eve walks in the direction of the warehouse. Craig, James and Jeff follow in complete confidence. Danny looks around incredulous

Danny - This is insane(follows anyway)

Cut to inside the warehouse. On the upper level, Danielle is leaning against the railing smiling as she watches Morgan struggle against her bonds and panics as she continues to be slowly lowered in to the machine. On the lower level demons continue to prowl the premises. There is a knock at the door. Danielle looks to the direction of the faint sound. She motions to the demons to surround the entrance. The knock comes again. They wait.

Suddenly a huge bulldozer comes crashing and smashing through the door leaving a big hole in the wall. The impact is so large it sends all the demon flying back. Craig jumps out of the bulldozer.

Craig - Mind if we come in?

Craig ducks just as a chakram comes flying in from behind him. It ricochets off all the wall, and corners the demons. They are kept occupied trying to dodge it. Eve James Jeff and Danny come in through the hole. James and Craig go over to stop the demons who got out of the trap of the chakram. Danny sees the demons.

Danny - (astonished) WHAT IN HELL?!!

Eve - That's exactly where they are from. They comes from hell to steal souls and damn people in order to ready the world for Lucifer's return and reign.

Danny - (looks to Jeff) What happened on COPS was real? These are the forces you were talking about? This is the work you do?!!

Jeff - I didn't want involve you. It's a hard truth to accept

They become aware of the sound of the machine and the sound of struggling above them. They look to see Morgan hanging over the machine about to be lowered into it.

Eve - Morgan!

Jeff - I'll get her!

Jeff runs up to a ladder to get to the upper level.

Eve - (looks to Danny) You're frightened. I know. Go now Danny. You don't want to be a part of this. We were wrong to bring you here. You're not ready.

Danny - No . . . No I want to know what is going on. What are you fighting against?

Eve - It is what we are fighting for, what you fight for everyday. Life.

Suddenly Eve chakram comes back and she catches it just as a demon runs over to attack. Danny put his gun up and shoot but the demon continues to run toward them. Eve spins around and uses the chakram to slice the demon's head off. She turns back to Danny who is shocked.

Eve - Guns don't work on these creatures. These creatures and people like Danielle try to destroy everything we work so hard for and corrupt the people we try to protect.

Suddenly another demon runs to attack Eve and Danny.

Cut to Jeff as he reaches the upper level. Danielle looks to the demon who are currently being occupied and beaten. She then looks back to Jeff who is approaching quickly. She rolls her eyes as she sighs in annoyance.

Danielle - (looks to Morgan) Could you hang on for a moment? (bursts out laughing looking at Morgan's situation) Hang on!! Woooo! I slay me!

Cut to Craig as a demon flips towards him. Craig clashes swords with it, blocking and parrying each blow. The demon swings a long fingered claw at Craig. Craig sucks and uses his sword to swipe at the demon feet. The demon jumps over the swipe. They clash swords again, five times before the demon swings around and knocks the sword out of Craig's hand. It then swings around and kicks Craig in the face. As it moves to strike again Craig dodges the blow, grabbing the demon by the arm and flipping it into a wall. As it bets up Craig somersaults over picking up his sword. Craig swings around and slashes the demon in the chest, swings around and kicks the demon twice in the face, then swing around a third time and chops the demon's head off.

Cut to James as a demon has grabbed on to his arm. James swings the demon around and kicks it in the gut. James blocks three blows from the demon then punches it in the side. James then jumps up and punches the demon in the head the bends down low to knocks the feet out from under it. James then picks up a sword and slices it's head off. James then suddenly turns around and throws the sword into the third eye of an on coming cycloptic demon. James then runs over and flips over the demon taking the sword out as he flips over. James swings the sword around and launches himself to tackle down another demon.

Three demons, with swords in their hands approach Eve and Danny. Eve throws her chakram to the right wall. It ricochets off the wall and back across the demons cutting all their swords off the hilts. The chakram bounces off the left wall and sails back to Eve who catches it without effort. All demon run to attack. Eve ducks as one demon reaches first. She lifts it off it's feet and flips it over her shoulder on to it's back. Eve then punches the other two down simultaneously. One of the three swings at Eve but she ducks and back hands the demon so hard it swings around with it's back facing, so Eve kicks it in the butt. The other two run at Eve and grab her by the arms slamming her into the wall. Danny stunned doesn't know what to do. Eve gets up enough strength and slams the demons into one another. Still holding on Eve flips around, slams the demons into each other again and then flips the demon over on to their backs. Craig throws Eve a sword and she handless cartwheels over and chops one demons head off. The other demon gets up to attack but Eve head butts it, kicks it in the side and spins around and chops off both it's legs before she spins around and chops off the demons head. Eve looks over to Danny and sees a lone demon coming up behind him.

Eve- Danny look out!!

Danny turns around and kicks the demon in the knee sending it down on one knee. Danny then swings around with a swift round house kick, kicking with such force the demon flips over on to his back. The demon propels it's self on to it's feet. It throws a kick but Danny flips backward dodging it. In mid flip Danny picks up a fallen sword. He holds it awkwardly against the demon. Then Danny jumps up, turns around and backward kicks the demon in the chest. As Danny lands he swings around and slices the demons head off. Danny sees what he has done and is still confused by the whole ordeal. He drops the sword with a clang. He turns to Eve but her eyes are fixed on Morgan still struggling and Jeff and Danielle about to meet.

Cut to Jeff as he stops short seeing Danielle coming to cut him off. He sees a rope tied to a wall and unties it. He gets up on the railing ready to swing. Eve sees the movement and readies her chakram. Just as Jeff swing across Eve throws the chakram and it slices through the rope that hold Morgan. As Morgan falls Jeff catches her in his arms and swings across the grinding machine landing safely on the platform on the other side. Jeff quickly gets the rest off the rope off Morgan's hands. She instantly hits him.

Morgan - What did you think you were doing?! I could have been killed!!! (she jumps into Jeff's arms hugging him tightly) Thank you.

Danielle - AHHHHHHH!!!(screaming as she jumps over and tackles both down)Bitch!! I'll get you!!

Danielle throws Jeff out of the way and jumps on Morgan trying to strangle her. Morgan flips Danielle off her and propels her own self up with her feet. Morgan spins around to kick Danielle down but Danielle blocks the kick. Morgan is surprised but keeps on the defensive. Every kick and punch that Morgan throws at Danielle, Danielle blocks it with matched strength and vigor. Morgan swings around to backhand Danielle but Danielle blocks and holds on to Morgan's arm. Danielle then hits Morgan in the stomach and then in the face and then flips Morgan over into the wall. She is about to punch Morgan out when Jeff kicks Danielle hard in the stomach leaving her winded.

Jeff - You know, usually I don't like to hit women but for you I'll make an exception.

Jeff lands a huge upper cut punch on Danielle sending her flying off the railing and on to the lower level. Jeff helps Morgan up and they both jump off the second level and land on their feet to surround Danielle. Suddenly Danielle pulls out a gun. She points it wildly around her threatening to shoot. Everyone steps back hands up but Danny brings out his gun and points it at Danielle.

Danny - Put down the gun!!

Danielle - NO!!

Danny - Put it down or I'll shoot.

Danielle - SHUT UP!!!!

Danielle begins to shoot wildly around her and everyone including Danny runs for cover in order not to get shot. Danielle screams madly as she continues shooting.

Voice - ENOUGH!!!

Danielle stops shooting. The masked figure with two demons behind her walk out of the shadows. Eve and the others instantly get on the defensive, hands up, ready to defend themselves.

Danielle - (laughs) Oh you are going to get it now. You'll never get away!!

The masked figure walks up to stand by Danielle. Suddenly the masked figure punches Danielle and knocks her out. The demons picks Danielle up and drag her into the shadows. The masked figure stands there for a moment and looks at a surprised Eve. The figure gives slight nod and walks back into the shadows.

Craig - Why didn't they attack? They could have ended it?

Eve - They don't want us dead . . . .yet.

Morgan runs over to Eve and the others. Eve gives her a big hug

Eve - Are you o.k.?

Morgan nods and then looks over to Danny. Jeff clears his throat.

Jeff - Um . . . Morgan this is a good friend of mine. This is Danny Woo. Danny this is Morgan.

Eve - He helped a lot.

Morgan - Thank you

Danny just nods then turns and leaves.

Jeff - Danny! Wait! . . . I'm sorry.

Danny - (turns around) Sorry? You're sorry!! You’ve lied to me man. For years you’ve been lying to me!

Jeff – Take it easy it’s not like that man!

Danny – Take it easy?!! I just found out that the world is full of boogiemen like some sort of freak show!! The whole world has gone to hell. Everything that I believe in, everything that I have worked for means nothing because there is whole new wave of crime working underground. And to top it all off you and your friends run around dealing out vigilante justice. But you are not doing any good in this world. You are no better then the monsters you fight!! Outside the law, outside the rules!

Danny turns back around and walks out of the hole left by the bulldozer.Danny turns back around and walks out of the hole left by the bulldozer.

Jeff - Danny!! . . . (shoulders sag, defeated and rejected not knowing what to say)

Eve realizes this scene looks familiar

*flash*

Carrie - (looks to James violently then pushes Eve off) PSYCHO!!! (points to James) It's you!! You got me into this. You pushed me here. JUST STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!
Carrie runs away from them

From "My So Called Family"
Danielle - No! (stomps her foot) NO NO NO NO NO!!! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE IS!! WHO SHE IS!! YOU'D HATE HER IF YOU KNEW!!
Danielle picks up the knife. Eve quickly takes out her chakram and throws it. It ricochets off some trees and sails towards Danielle's hand knocking the knife from it. Danielle holds her hurting hand looking to Eve with venom who is catching her chakram. She looks to her father who is looking back at her with shock and terror. She backs away and breaks into a run heading deep into the wood.

*end flash*

Eve - DANNY!!

Eve runs out after Danny

Cut to outside Danny is walking away from the dock at a quick pace. Eve runs up and gets in front of him blocking his path.

Danny - Get out of my way.

Eve - No! You can't just run off like this.

Danny sighs and looks at her waiting

Eve - Danny, what you just said to all of us, that is why we don't tell anyone. We see it happen all to often. We lose friends, potential allies, because of these horrors. They try to rationalize and blame it on us or say it a freak show or their imagination but all they do is perpetuate the situation. No one wants to accept what they don't understand or what they fear. It easier to hate or pretend it doesn't exist. It means not having to deal with evil. Do you know how often we've been blamed or called insane? That's why we don't tell anyone. Would you?

Danny – People would think I'm crazy!

Eve – But you’re not nor are we. There is a world that is beyond the laws of our society but as a police offcier you can help us protect this world and stop the one that is trying to take over

Danny - Everything I've worked for in my life means nothing.

Eve - No no, Danny in truth we are not that different. You protect people from each other, from criminals, we protect people from evil, from demons. We give them a choice, you give them a second chance. We are both working for the same things, we just have to fight for them in different ways. Please Danny, please try to understand.

Danny - I . . . I got to think about this.

Danny bypasses Eve and leaves her standing there on the dock.

Fade from Eve in to a dark chamber. The masked figure hits Danielle and she goes flying across the room. Danielle tries to get up but the figure kicks her across the face knocking her down and making her bleed from the mouth.

Danielle - (crying in pain as she tries to get up) I did everything right!! I covered every angle! I used demon, magic, I gave them just enough information to make them feel pain but not locate her. I had a gun!! We could have taken them! Why did you stop me?

Figure - You fool!! You have neither skill nor wisdom. In order to achieve ultimate victory you must annihilate your enemy's body, mind, heart and soul! For all your instruments, you would have never destroyed them all. They would have banded together and risen up stronger against you!! THEY WOULD HAVE DESTROYED YOU AND ME! Eve and her friends have the wisdom and experience of a thousand life times combined. They continue to surpass all odds. Why do you think it is so hard to destroy them. The only way to do so is to know everything they know, to match and exceed them on every level! And now thanks to your stupidity and impatience they know your weakness

Danielle - WEAKNESS?!!

Figure - Your over confidence and inexperience. They will figure out what we are doing and we are not ready! They will destroy us!

Danielle - But I've found another. He can beat Jeff and he already has is doubts about them, he is angry with them for making him lose faith. We can use him to beat them!

The figure turns away and is silent for a moment

Figure - Alright, but I will handle this. As for you . . . (whips around and backhands Danielle) Don't every talk back to me again!! I will not tolerate such insolence! Now go. Continue with your training.

Fade from the figure to Eve at the centre with Craig and James.

Eve - This figure . . . who ever she is, she is manipulating things somehow. Danielle ran away, angry and upset. This figure made an offer to train her to get her revenge on Morgan because this figure wants revenge on me.

Craig - Another enemy you don't know about?

Eve – Besides Lucifer, every enemy I have ever had is dead.

Craig - Right like that stops them.

James - Carrie . . . She ran off and that figure was involved that day. You don't think . . .

Eve - I don't know.

Craig - Is that why you talked to Danny? Hoping that you could get to him before that figure does.

Eve - So much has been put in motion it has to be more than just coincidence. Whoever she is she is planning something and she has orchestrated events to fit her plan. We have to figure out what it is. We have to be ready.

James - Wow . . . what a story!

Eve - Excuse me?

James - Our adventures! It's the perfect thing to write about. I think I'll call this one, "The One With the Psycho Half Sister"

Craig - You're going to make what happened to us sound like a "Friends" episode

Fade from the scene as Eve laughs a little to Jeff as is sits in his office/ apartment just thinking. Morgan knocks at his door and then open. She stands there with a bit of a sad smile.

Morgan - Hi. . . . I'm sorry about what happened to your friend today.

Jeff - Yeah . . . me too.

Morgan - You want to talk about it?

Jeff - Not much to talk about. It's not like I regret what I've done with my life it's just . . . I wish it could have turned out differently.

Morgan - Me too, there are some definite things I'd like to change.

Jeff - There is one thing I wouldn't change though . . . meeting you.

Morgan - (surprised at his comment but happy, she walks over and kneeling in front of him) I wanted to thank you, for today. You went to a lot of trouble for me, when you didn't have to.

Jeff – Yes I did All I knew was that you were in trouble and I had to help you. I care about you Morgan, more then you know.

Morgan - I think I do know now and I want you to know that I care about you too

Cut back to Jeff and Morgan looking at each other and smiling

Fade to night at Danny's home. Danny sits there in a chair with a small light on the side table. He just sits there, thinking about the days events. He wife, Sherry, walks up and puts her hands on his shoulder in a comforting gesture.

Sherry - Are you o.k.?

Danny - (sighs)Yeah . . . yeah. I will be. Go to bed. I'll be up soon.

His wife gives him a light pat on the shoulder before heading up. Danny sits there for another moment before the phone rings. Confused he looks at the clock wondering whose calling at the late hour then picks up the phone.

Danny - Hello?

Voice - Danny Woo.

Danny - Yeah?

Voice - Are you upset about what happened today?

Danny - Who is this?

Voice - One who can make it all go away and help you get what you want.

Danny - What are you talking about?

Voice - Aren't you upset at Jeff and Eve for putting you into a situation that they had no right to expose you to.

Danny - (beginning to have doubt) . . . They thought I could handle it . . . They were trying to save their friend . . . I wanted to help.

Voice - They have stripped you of all your beliefs and values. They have made you think that what you can no longer help. Wouldn't you like to change that, to show them you are stronger then how they think

Danny - No . . . I can't. Vigilante justice is not the way . . . it's not . . .

Voice - Danny Woo, Eve and her kind operate outside the law, they make a mockery of all you stand for. Jeff has turned his back on you and your profession. They have no regard for the law. They only perpetuate the problem of demons, only keep things status quo so they can continue to have a reason to break the law. They are criminals. Will you stand for it or will you put them away?

Danny - I don't know how.

Voice - I can help you.

Danny - What are you suggesting?

Voice - I have a proposition for you.
