The Investiture Service: Officers and Members of the Order of Saint Stanislas,
New Zealand Grand Priory, Officiating Celebrant, Officials and Guests.

On Friday, 31 March 2006, as a prelude to the Investiture of Postulants into the Order of Saint Stanislas that was held on the following day [01 April 2006], - over 30 Australasian Members of the Order of Saint Stanislas, their families, friends, guests and Postulants attended a Cocktail Party at The Christchurch Club on Worcester Street, Christchurch, New Zealand.
...
The atmosphere at the Cocktail Party was one of fervent cordiality and friendship. In fact a number of visitors remarked about the aura of intense fellowship, belonging, and comradeship that seemed to exist among those attending.
His Excellency Baron Kevin D. Couling, the Secretary and Marshal for the Grand Priory of New Zealand, once again organized a most magnificent and enjoyable evening which was a wonderful occasion for everyone to meet each other and to renew old acquaintances.
On Saturday 01 April 2006 there was a very good turn-out, during the afternoon, for the Investiture Ceremony of Postulants [New Members into the Order of Saint Stanislas].
Hosted by the New Zealand South Island Commandery of the Order of Saint Stanislas, the Investiture Service was a significant event for two reasons; the first being that it was second Investiture held on New Zealand's South Island [Mainland]. Secondly, it was the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the first Investiture held in 1996 in Papapakura, of the Order of Saint Stanislas in New Zealand.
The Investiture Liturgy and induction of Postulants into the Order of Saint Stanislas as Members was held at the St John of God Chapel in Nash Road, Halswell, Christchurch.
Invested into the Order of Saint Stanislas were: Her Excellency Countess Elizabeth Kusza-Subritzky [Auckland], Dr Michael John Molloy [Christchurch] and Kevin John Seque [Christchurch].

Her Excellency Countess Elizabeth Kusza-Subritzky [wife of His Excellency Count Basil Kusza-Subritzky, the North Island Commander] was admitted to the Order of Saint Stanislas as a Dame Class V, whilst Dr Michael John Molloy and Kevin John Seque were Invested into the Order as Chevaliers, Class V.
Attending from Australia was His Excellency and Count (Wieslaw) George Helon-Zielinski de Doliwa, GOMZ, CSStS-JC, PNAF, and from the Cook Islands, Dame Jillian Sobieska, CStS.
Also in attendance was Chevalier Barry Gadsby, GCLJ from the Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, and from the Imperial Ethiopian Order of Saint Mary of Zion was Dame Jane Seccombe, CMZ.
The Presiding Celebrant was The Very Reverend Monsignor Gerald O'Connor, JCh.LJ, Vicar General who once again most enthusiastically attended to our divine needs.
Performing the dubbing formalities was His Excellency Philip Sherry, GCStS, the Order of Saint Stanislas Grand Prior for New Zealand.
His Excellency Count (Wieslaw) George Helon-Zielinski de Doliwa, GOMZ, CSStS-JC, PNA was the Cross Bearer, Mantle Bearer and Postulant Minder, whilst the Sword Bearer was His Excellency Count Michael Kusza-Subritzky, GCCStS, the Grand Chronicler for the Order of Saint Stanislas.
After the conclusion of the Investiture formalities a number of Members of the Order of Saint Stanislas were accorded Promotions within the Order: Chev. Emmett Mitten KCStS [Class V] to OCStS [Class IV]; Chev. William (Bill) Mehalski KCStS [Class V] to OCStS [Class IV] and Chev. Brenton Faithfull OCStS [Class IV] to CStS [Class III].
Receiving Faithful Service Medals were: Chev. Brenton Faithfull, CStS; Dame Jillian Sobieska, CStS and His Excellency Count (Wieslaw) George Helon-Zielinski de Doliwa, GOMZ, CSStS-JC, PNA.
Silver Cross of Merits were also awarded to Chev. Philip Sherry, and their Excellencies Count George Helon-Zielinski de Doliwa and Baron Kevin D. Couling.
After the Investiture Liturgy had fully concluded, the newly Invested Members into the Order of Saint Stanislas, their families, friends, guests and other Members reconvened at The Christchurch Club in Worcester Street where over 35 persons attended a formal Black-Tie Dinner and enjoyed an absolutely superb three-course meal.
...
...
During the evening’s proceedings His Excellency Colonel Martin Devlin GCStS and His Excellency Count Michael Kusza-Subritzky, GCCStS recounted the history of the Order of Saint Stanislas and spoke of the founding 10 years earlier of the Order in New Zealand.
Chev. Emmett Mitten OCStS spoke quite comically about his days as a “Deputy Commissioner of Police” for New Zealand, not withstanding the fact – and the irony – that he was just appointed the “Constable” for the Order of Saint Stanislas in New Zealand.
