Jeremiah
Season One
The Long Road (Part 1)
Fifteen years after a plague known as the ‘Big Death’ struck the world, killing off everyone past the age of puberty, a man named Jeremiah is still searching for a place called the Valhalla Sector - mentioned to him by his father before he died. Jeremiah’s travels take him to a trading post called Clairfield, run by a powerful woman named Theo - whose life Jeremiah saves. However, as a stranger in town, it isn’t long before Jeremiah attracts attention from some unwanted sources. And when Theo captures two men she has seen talking with Jeremiah, she assumes that Jeremiah, like the men, is an infiltrator - who may have information about a legendary place known as the ‘End of the World.’ Theo captures Jeremiah, vowing to do whatever necessary to find out what he knows. Unfortunately, Jeremiah knows nothing, and his only hope of rescue lies with Kurdy, a man he formed an uneasy alliance with outside of Clairfield - and a man who claims to care only about his own survival....

The Long Road (Part 2)
Kurdy helps Jeremiah and Simon to escape from Theo’s headquarters but, as they flee Clairfield in the jeep, Simon is fatally wounded. Before he dies, Simon gives Jeremiah a key, and a map showing the location of Thunder Mountain - what Theo called the ‘End of the World.’ Jeremiah promises to deliver a message to Thunder Mountain and, despite Kurdy’s reluctance, the two set off together to find the fabled place. On the journey, Jeremiah and Kurdy witness a group of skinhead white extremists planning a mass hanging of a number of people they are keeping prisoner. So, on arriving at Thunder Mountain, Jeremiah’s first action is to request help for those prisoners. However, he soon discovers that the people of Thunder Mountain, led by a man named Markus Alexander, are far more concerned about their own survival than they are about the world outside....

Now ‘Captain Iron’ is determined to change the world by protecting the innocent, and offers his services to Jeremiah - but soon proves to be more of a hindrance than a help. Meanwhile, back at Thunder Mountain, Erin is certain that Markus is keeping secrets from her, which she isn’t best pleased about. Determined to get to the bottom of Markus’ elusive behaviour, Erin follows him, only to discover something which forces her to choose between her loyalty to Markus and her own sense of right and wrong....

Jeremiah and Kurdy have arranged to meet with one of Markus’ contacts outside Thunder Mountain, but they arrive just in time to see the man killed and to be captured themselves. Their captors are a group of men who have taken over a military base and obtained all the power of its weapons - led by a man named Michael. Michael believes that his purpose in life is to create a new world from the ashes of the old one, but Jeremiah soon learns that Michael’s vision is far from a peaceful one. Ruling through terror, Michael believes he is doing the work of God, and is prepared to go to any lengths necessary to achieve his aims. And now Michael wants to know exactly where the ‘end of the world’ is - no matter how many innocents have to die for him to gain the information....

To Sail Beyond The Stars
Jeremiah and Kurdy are following up a lead in Simon’s journal about a group of men known as ‘The Burners,’ when Jeremiah crosses paths with a woman named Claire. While Jeremiah and Claire get to know each other, Kurdy finds himself both acting as midwife to a pregnant young woman, and dodging a hail of bullets aimed at silencing his questions about The Burners. The Bag
When Jeremiah and Kurdy take a man and his pregnant, and very sick, wife to a nearby town, they are pleased to find that a doctor has also just arrived in town. However, it seems that the doctor, Reese, and his older brother, Jake, are as much interested in helping themselves as they are in helping other people. Jeremiah convinces Reese to examine the pregnant woman, but Reese is at a loss as to how to treat her. With no formal medical training to his name, Reese learned everything he knows from his father, whose doctor’s bag he now carries. And when the bag is stolen, Reese is convinced he can’t help anyone without it. Jeremiah tries to convince Reese that he is many people’s last hope, and that he should do all he can to help. Jake, however, has other plans for his brother....

However, saving the woman’s life triggers some long-buried memories in Kurdy, which he can’t ignore, and so, while Jeremiah searches for answers to do with the vaccine, Kurdy looks for answers of his own, with a trip back to his childhood home. There Kurdy’s memories become even clearer, as he finally learns the truth about what happened to his parents....

They return with the man to Thunder Mountain, where they learn that Markus once knew the survivor, Major Quantrell, personally. Quantrell was in charge of Thunder Mountain when the Big Death hit, and condemned Markus’ mother to die on the road outside the facility. In order to save Thunder Mountain, Markus may have to let Quantrell go - and yet Quantrell holds vital answers for Jeremiah, regarding both Valhalla Sector and his father....

The remaining children believe that their friends have been taken by vampire-like creatures that they call ‘blood vultures,’ but Jeremiah and Kurdy suspect the cause of the disappearances to be far more human.
