Save Jeremiah Campaign

Fans of Jeremiah want what’s been promised to them by the Showtime network - a full quota of second-season episodes of the show. However, so far only seven of the fifteen episodes produced for season two have been scheduled to air in the US. Concerned about the "missing 8" episodes, Jeremiah fans have begun a campaign to encourage the network to continue to support the show. Jeremiah star Sean Astin's response to the fans' campaign can be found here.

Season Two Preview

Strange Attractors

Deus Ex Machina

Rites Of Passage

The Mysterious Mister Smith

Voices In The Dark

Jeremiah

Created by J Michael Straczynski of Babylon 5 fame, Jeremiah is based on a series of comic books of the same name and is set in a near-future world, which is still recovering from a plague known as the 'Big Death' that killed off everyone over the age of puberty.

The show follows the fortunes of its title character, Jeremiah (played by ex-Beverly Hills 90210 star Luke Perry), and his friend Kurdy (Malcolm-Jamal Warner of The Cosby Show and Malcolm & Eddie) as they search for a mythical place called the Valhalla Sector, which may hold a cure for the plague which threatens to return and devastate the world's population once again. However, while Jeremiah does have his own agenda, he also finds himself playing a big part in the restoration of humanity to a broken world.

Now moving confidently into its second season, Jeremiah looks set to deliver even more surprises - including revelations about Jeremiah's absent father and the truth about Valhalla Sector. Meanwhile, Jeremiah's supporting characters are set to feature more prominently during season two. Thunder Mountain's leader, Markus Alexander, has a huge task ahead of him in uniting the factions which have sprung up outside of the military base. And a new face joins the cast for season two - Lord Of The Rings star Sean Astin, portraying Mister Smith, a mysterious man who claims to be the receipient of messages from God.

Despite its apparently grim subject matter, J Michael Straczynski's description of Jeremiah is: 'a post-apocalyptic show about hope,' and this message of hope is something that is constantly featured during each episode of Jeremiah. So let's just hope there will be many more seasons of adventures for Jeremiah - and his fans - to enjoy.
