My Thoughts On Religion.

God is Bullshit.
Well maybe not "God" but religion.
Religion is bullshit.
I don't think any religion really has it right. They all have great ideas and stories. It's when the stories are believed to be truth that things go crazy.
First off.
Religion as a whole has completely fucked up history. More people have died in Holy Wars over beliefs than people fighting in WW1 and WW2. They were killing over beliefs that promoted love and peace. Seem funny to you? Me 2.
Secondly.
I think people have taken stories to serious. In acient times people made stories to explain everyday phenomenon. Certain people believed that great beings controlled love, hate, and the weather. They believed this because it explained the unexplainable. For instance people wondered where we came from. Since technology at the time didn't expose anything, they assumed a "higher power" created man. And not only just created us, but he created us in his image. So this makes us feel better to think we are some how like god/ or a god. But nowadays we can see how evolution worked. We can line up fossils and see the changes that happened before we became who we are now. But some people are ignorant and won't accept this reasoning or even try to understand it.
Another thing is hardly anyone discovers religion for themselves anymore. It's something that is "taught" to young children. It creates fear beyond what their parents could possibly do to them. Hell if you had a kid and told him that if he flapped his arms real fast and jumped off the roof he would fly , he would believe you.
Religion is also a safety net. If something bad happens you can turn to god. Because praying to an imaginary figure will some how help you. YEAH, I could talk to my nuts for a half hour and get the same results.
Jesus Christ, I think was made out to be more than he was. A groupp of people declared him their god. Y? because he was a damn good motivational speaker who convinced a nation of people who had nothing there was somethign worth fighting for and looking foward to in life.
I don't belive he had risen from the grave either, because i don't think he was ever dead. He might have fallen into a deap sleep or coma and when they thought he was dead ,they put him in the tomb. Even now adays sometimes a persons life signs become so low you can't tell whether they are dead or alive without using special equipment. Since they didn't have that kind of equipment back then , it is entirely possible for this to have happened.
Moses splitting the red sea? OHHHH PLEASE. I don't even think anyone has even seen someone splitt a puddle in the middle of the road , let alone a whole sea.
My Mom said the Bible was a book that documentedd what was going on around at the times. Who says the guy who wrote it didn't embelish. So if i go write a story as good as the bible will people in 200 years believe it as truth. Probably not unless parents tell their children my stories are truth and right.
Now as i said earlier as far as I see it practically every religion has got it wrong. I believe in a "god". I'm not athiest, I'm agnostic.
I just think God isn't what people say he/she/it is. But ya see there has to be a god for 1 reason. Who created the universe?
Now what i'm going to write is from a point in where we can't explain it yet. 50-whenever years down the line we might be able to though.
This universe was created by the "big bang". Simple.
Space is nothing. If you went up and opened a jar filled it up with space came back to earth and open the jar you know what you would have in that jar? NOTHING! also since matter can not be created nor destroyed, where did the matter that made up the big bandg come from? Maybe it came from another galaxy. But then how did the matter in that one get created and so on and so on. So there has to be a higher being that created the Matter for the universe to happen. Understand what i'm trying to say?
