It may look very simplistic but I used to be hooked on this game quite a lot back in the early '90's! I think I will make a few more pics of this game soon including boss pics which appear a lot thruout this seemingly never ending game and also some box scans that I have from the "Exotica Amiga Box Scan Website". This UFO is the first big enemy you will face in the game! But it ain't that much compared to the 2 much bigger enemies pictured down below this page! It can be taken out simply froma few shots or a couple of smart bombs but I recommend just using a little bit of fire power and that should finish him off nicely!
This huge and gigantic nasty squid is far from a nice living thing! To kill it you need to firstly shoot off its bottom legs, (already has been done in this pic) followed by its middle legs, then its top legs and then finally give a massive shooting at its head and it will be finished and then blast into lots of big colourful squares. It fires out tiny and medium squids at you which only the small squids can be killed and then all will die once the main squid dies! It is quite a tough challenge without losing a life, but there is something else that is slightly more harder to kill. It is always nice to have some spare shield left! Especially when you are about to encounter your biggest fight yet! This huge skull needs very heavy concentrated lazer fire to its head for it to be destroyed but may take some time if you don't have double, or even triple lazers! It produces only medium sized skulls that cannot be destroyed unless the main skull dies. They shoot fireballs at you which need to be avoided. Once destroyed it turns into loads of very colourful circles. I would say that this is only slightly harder than facing the giant squid! Both are very tough.
The aim of the game is quite simple and straight forward! Once you enter each level you start with 8 pods that roll around, either left or right, and you have to pick them up by moving into them with the space shuttle and then taking them one at a time into the warp hole! rewards are given if you manage to rescue them all! Landers, which are the green alien space craft (pictured above) will try to pick the pods up themselves whenever they see a good opportunity too, and then they will carry them to the top of the screen given then chance and then mutate into a Crazy which will then just follow you around and try to destroy you anyway it can! the pod will turn into a traitor if you let this happen so just destroy it and don't even think about picking it up unless u have a death wish! pods are only about half the gameplay tho in each level. Also to complete a level you need to destroy all the living enemy on it! This is just "Crazy Talk!"... Shooting all the pods is not a good idea, unless if u want this to happen above! If not at least 1 pod is rescued in a level then the whole screen will instantly flash and make mutation noises where as soon as the final pod dies, (either by you shooting it, or it turning into a traitor, or an emeny killing it walking into the warp hole) then every enemy on screen will turn into a Crazy! This is not good, as chances of surviving here are quite minimal. You play 4 attack waves in a row before u move into a fresh new stage where u get all 8 pods back again. So if all pods happen it get destroyed on the very first attack wave of a stage then that means you have the level you are on plus the next 3 levels spent mindlessly attacking Crazy's! However, there is a good strategy to take them all on at once, if you manage to get them all bunched up quite tightly, and then changing directions often, by flying underneath them and then shooting many shots just before you do so. This (in later levels) is probably a better way to get further in the game as I find doing it this way is much easier, and it will even help you pick up a lot of extra lives at the same time, and you will also only likely lose 1 life, amd not even 1 at all, if u r that good when each level starts, as all the Crazy's will not be bunched up instantly! and will be something you will have to practice at!
