How Many UEWwies does it take to Change a Lightbulb?

(Exerpted from "Lightbulbs in Transition," edited by Kaatryn MacMorgan) "First, ask yourself, is it really your place to change the lightbulb? Is it the lightbulb's True Will to change? Can you, instead of changing the lightbulb, gently guide it toward changing itself? Make sure, of course, that changing is what the lightbulb needs. Remember, we do not score points by number of lightbulbs changed! It may be beneficial to guide the lightbulb back to its former state-after all, a wishy washy lightbulb does no good for anyone. Make sure to perform an exit interview with the lightbulb before it officially changes. Examples of an exit interview can be found in the Clergy handbook. Of course, People who have not signed and submitted an oath of practice can perform lightbulb changings, but not as a "Universal Eclectic Wiccan."

I am reminded of a lightbulb I met in college, glowing with an amber light, it was not sure whether it was blown or just not receiving enough electricity, this lightbulb presented an interesting problem, and the solution to this problem would take a lot of seeking and work on my part....."

Kaatryn MacMorgan is, in fact, dear to me, and before anyone yells at me for a perceived slam, I did ASK her if this was funny before I posted it! As the chief scribe of UEW's high priestess, Kat is supposed to write or edit all the handbooks and websites-but I couldn't resist the dig!
