I was a skinny child, up until the ripe old age of about 10. Maybe it just seemed that way because I was always tall for my age as a young child. I started putting on a little weight in my early teen years, but it was alright because I was just waiting for that inevitable "growth spurt". It came...and went, and I never got past 5' 4". Now its not that I mind my height, or consider myself really short or anything. The only problem was that shortly before I started my low carb way of life, I was eating only ONE meal a day, suffering from acid reflux, always feeling tired and miserable mentally and physically, and weighing close to 200 pounds! My super-intelligent Uncle Allen in California first mentioned the Atkins diet to me, and told me of how much success he had on it. I was somewhat skeptical considering the fact that I really ate very little meat, and couldn't immagine giving up things like pasta, or potatoes, but I was at the end of my rope and decided to give it a try. So far I have lost about 30 pounds, and my goal is to lose about 45 more and slim down to a fit 125 pounds. All of my life I have wanted to be thin, sexy, and beautiful. I hope you enjoy reading my journals and even if one person can relate, I feel I have acomplished something. I know it will take time, but I WILL reach my goal.
