graduating college and getting my first teaching job. On my computer, I had
AOL. I had never used AOL before, so I was goofing around with its features.
I stumbled on to |

the personals and out of pure boredom, wrote one with the title
“Insert Random Generic Title Here.” A few days later, I began to receive
Instant Messenges from someone. I had received nothing but junk messages
before, so I had gotten into the habit of just canceling these messages.
Finally she e-mailed me, and while I was reading the e-mail, she IM’ed me
again. We began to talk, and then talked some more, and then talked all the
time through IM. I even did play by play of the final episode of the first Survivor
show for her, seeing she wasn’t around a television. We then began to talk on the phone every
night, and from the first moment we talked on the phone, we have talked every
night, and often, multiple times a day J |

When did we get engaged? Friday, February 16, 2001 How did I propose? It was our Valentine’s weekend together. The
plan was to cook a romantic spaghetti dinner, have a little wine, and then
ask her. However, the night was filled with some bad storms, so by the time
she drove through them, and got here, it was way too late, and she was way
too tired to eat something big like that. Still determined, I had another
surprise for her. We had met through the computer, so I decided to play on
that, and create a PowerPoint presentation for a Valentine’s present. I sat
her down in front of my computer, and she went through all the slides that
had poetry, cute sayings, and general wishes of love toward her. The last
slide said “There is nothing more I would rather do, than to marry you…turn
around J” She turned
around, and there I was, on my knee, with the ring. When will we get married? Saturday, March 30, 2002 |

I would take my notebook and pen, so I can write. I would take my camera and
film, so I can take pictures. I would take an inflatable raft, so I could

this little problem with pain, I would get a phoenix on my right shoulder, and
if I was really insane, I would get a dragon that weaves around my chest,

If you were planning a vacation, where would you go? I would go
to St. Augustine, Florida. I would do the tourist thing. Go to the fort, Ripley’s
Believe It or Not Museum, the Lighthouse, Marineland, and just generally
hanging out and relaxing down there. However, if I wanted to spend a lot of
money that I don’t have, I would hop on a plane and head over to Europe. Not
all of Europe, just three countries. England, Ireland, and Scotland. I would
love going to the old country, checking the sites, and spending about $300 on
film alone. |
