The Return of Bob
By:
Robert Chauncey
About a year after Terry and Susan's
encounter with Bob Kill, they had finally completely forgot about Bob.
One day Terry and Susan went to a
swamp on a class field trip. They went,
according to their teacher, "To get closer to nature." Well the trip was kind of fun to Terry and
Susan because they got to see all kinds of salamanders, toads, frogs newts, and
insects. When they sat down to eat
lunch, they accidently fell asleep.
When they woke up there was no one around and the bus had left without
them.
"What are we supposed to
do?" Susan whimpered.
"We'll just sit down by the
swamp and wait. They'll know we're gone
soon enough and come back looking for us.
Lucky for us we still have our lunch left from when we went to
sleep." Terry said confidently.
They walked down to the edge of the
swamp and sat down under a tall Cyprus tree.
They took out their lunch which consisted of a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich, a bag of barbecue potato chips, and a 20 oz. bottle of Mountain Dew,
and sat down to their dinner. Suddenly
they heard a noise in the swamp. They
both looked towards the swamp and saw what appeared to be a man swimming
towards them.
"Oh my God!" Susan screamed noticing that the man was
wearing a rotting ski mask and a dirty old sweater.
"It's Bob!" Terry screamed seeing what Susan saw.
Without saying any other words, both
Terry and Susan started to run toward the center of the swamp. They both crossed many logs and make-shift
bridges, but finally stopped on a small island in the middle of the swamp. Suddenly it began to rain. They both huddled under a huge Oak tree on
the island to stop from being soaked.
All of a sudden Bob screamed,
"I'm going to kill the both of you"
Then Bob suddenly grabbed Susan from behind.
"Leave her alone!" terry screamed.
"Patience, Terry, first her then
you," Bob cackled back at Terry.
Suddenly thunder cracked the sky and
then lightning hit the Oak tree. Then a
fiery branch fell onto Bob, knocking him back.
Terry grabbed Susan's hand and started to run. When they looked back they saw Bob slowly sinking into the
quicksand.
Before his head went under, Bob
screamed, "I'll kill you both!"
Terry and Susan did not stay around
to see Bob's hands slowly sink into the quicksand. Terry and Susan ran back to the spot where they waited for the
bus. They arrived just in time to see
the bus drive up. They swore to each
other that they would never tell anyone about Bob, but they were pretty sure
that they would never see Bob again.
