Before i say anything else just let me say that i am no expert in religion or film, and especially not religiouse films. However, that does not change the fact that this movie is one of the greatest films i have ever seen. From the poster you might judge that it's just a testosterone inspired shoot-em-up. Let me tell you, it's not. It's controversial to the core, and each person who watches it will take something different away from it. The film makers foresaw this, and the ending credits reflect thier knowledge of what kind of controversy this movie would inspire. I won't ruin any of the plot for you, but let me just say, whether you are a Christian or not, this movie will most definitly rock your world to kindgome come. It's true that Christians will find a little more appreciation in this movie since the main characters are Catholic and the fact that the story does center around faith, but it's a movie that everybody over 16 can enjoy. This movie is bloody at times, but not excessivly so, like Tarantino films. The acting is amazing, the plot is thick, and you'll leave the movie wanting more. Watch this movie with your boys, because there's no romantic quality to it, not even clergy touching little boys (ba-zing!). Anyway, all joking aside, this movie is a classic, and the only reason it didn't become famouse is because people are idiots. Please, go watch it and you won't be dissappointed.
