Sorry The News Site Looks Like This, We're Still Under Heavy Construction
Hey all,
Well Angelfire changed the way you login to edit your page, plus I changed my email addess and didn't realize that this was registered under my old email address which I needed to reactivate and blah blah blah....
So I haven't had access to edit this site for a while and I probably will not be updating it much, just posting a link to my new site which I'm working on at the moment.
News, I've had a lot of my pictures published in skateboard/longbaord magazines both under my real name, pen names, and (I know I said both but this doesn't quite count a s a third) my real name SPELLED THE WRONG WAY, I won't mention that editor's name because he's a cool guy who does nothing but contribute to the community and has offered me help on a few new projects
Speaking of new projects, I finished the movie for the NFB (back in 2005), I hated what came out of it until recently when I looked back at it, Chris our "Star" decided to go back to Vancouver to serve out some arrest warrants or something along those lines in the middle of shooting regardless of my offers to pay for his plane ticket if he left at a latter date. He then managed to hustle me into helping Sandra his significant other and his dog get out to Vancouver with him. I haven't heard from them since, and wish them well and Chris if you find this PLEASE CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW YOU'RE ALIVE!!! MY NUMBERS HAVE NOT CHANGED. It was basically the type of deal where I didn't get everything I want, and I felt like I was a bit dishonest with my editing but I wasn't really left much of a choice since we had to film the thing in three days. Not to mention we only had three days to shoot because of this inconvenience, the day I picked up my gear I crashed my car into a lamp post turning into the NFB's parking lot, in which I totaled my car, which was two weeks after I had taken out my knee in a snowboard accident, and my retard of a soundman who (will remain unnamed but if you ever see Cleans Up Well pay special attention to the credits,) assured me he knew how to use sound equipment when in fact:
1) He didn't actually know how to use the sound equipment
2) Didn't set the backup device to calibrate with 24/FPS
I've come to terms with my qualms over this piece and now like it for what it is, even though through the years I've only heard positive things.
I'm now at Concordia in film production. I have a few other projects under my belt, I'm working on a few other projects, I don't really feel like talking about them because it's late I'm tired and I'm typing way too much since this site has only had 400 hits since I reset the counter in late February 2007. As well, a few of them are under fake names because, well... they're controversial, the three previous movies were on street kids so if you start to get into darker teritories than that...you do what you can to protect yourself, and my entire team who at the time were really pissed off that I didn't use they're real names were thanking me like crazy once we started getting threatened by certain...for anonymity sake just say extremist groups. If you want to check out some of my photography check out My Flickr Site ,wow it's been a long time since I wrote in HTML, new email is howardsiroky@gmail.com
Anyway, good health to all!

Echo Online Photo Editor
Hey Everyone, for anyone who checks this site regularly, which is no one I appologize for the lack of updates. I drove accross Canada which was awesome, and wehen I got back to montreal I found myself living in my car, which was also awesome, and not so awesome at the same time. Funny how 5 months ago I was making a movie for the NFB on street kids, and a 4 days ago I was pretty well a street kid. Anyway, i plan on changing the site completely somewhere between going to school, homework, my three jobs, as well as being the secretary of the college photo club, and the photo editor of the school news paper, not forgetting my many other side projects like, films, my band, and skateboarding, etc.
WHich brings me to the point of this little, rambling blurb. You can check out my photo's and arcicle's @ The Echo Online

The Ripordz Have Given The Rights to Their Music To Us For The New Film, Pretty Shweet!
Diz Gave Us some Free Stuff, Go Free Stuff!
I'm Beggining a new documentary on an organized college trip called the trip for tollereance. The trip's goal for the last few years has been to create an understanding between different middle-eastern and wesern cultures. I will be on this trip directing and filming with a crew of five. This is a no budget film! but it should be interesting and a whole lot of fun!
Chris who's the subject of Cleans up well my new film with the NFB has gone back to BC to deal with some legal matters. Once these matters are dealt with he'll be able to come back to Montreal, and have an easier time finding work.
The Vanier College Student Association decided that the government cutting 103 million dollars in scholarship funds was not as significant as packing and shopping for THE SPRING BREAK DAYTONA TRIP. That's right, Vanier College was going to be the only Cegep in Montreal to not strike last Monday. Thanks to the many efforts of Chris Guido and Josh a crew was organised and the student body forced the VCSA to call attention to this matter. They then allowed for a referendum which we won. LAST MONDAY I CAME OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND WAS PROUD TO HAVE MY ENTRY TO THE COLLEGE BLOCKED BY A PICKET LINE! We need to do something about the VCSA. If you are on a scholarship or any type of student loan they have a complete lack of respect for you because these cuts directly effect YOU! Remember, they put their free trip to Daytona (which everyone else is overcharged for) over your education. Speak out, and Speak up for yourselves, it's not so hard, I just did.
I will soon be posting some commercials I made this year for Vanier College. The Commercials Played in New England during a baseball game, and we now have people asking about a Montreal Cegep from all over new England. Maybe that's where the we'll get 103 million from.
Johnathan Starr and I have began briefly discussing doc on the Trip For Tolerance. It's looking like a go right after I finish Cleans up well in April! Go No Budget Films!
