There are seven species of sea turtles around the world. The Loggerhead, Green and Leatherback species are the ones we work with on the S.E. coast of Florida. What can you do to help sea turtles? There are numerous ways you can be involved and help sea turtles. One of the best ways is to be informed. Education is one of the key points of conservation. Once people are educated then they can make informed decisions about that particular species and its surroundings. So Read, Read, Read! You can never read too much! You can also look on this site under the link page or on other web sites for organizations that use volunteers for their turtle seasons. Don't be afraid to write to these organizations and ask if they need help. You never know until you ask.
