You fill me up, you're in my veins, your love could take my breath away
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: STAIND (again...awesome CD)
Topic: This is cool
Today I didn't have school, so I slept in really late. Then I sat at home being lazy till me, mom, and Geoff went to Southpointe. We tried going into Nordstrom, which I used to love, but now, I feel like "non-fashionable" or something. lol. I was like, "I'm looking for jeans" and the lady was like, "what kind." I was like, "ummmm, maybe not these stretchy ones." Cause stretchy jeans always get smaller faster, and cling to every curve. I actually felt fat trying on some of these jeans, I was like, ok, no. lol. I've decided that I just don't really like to shop. Then Geoff and I both agreed to go to Hot Topic, and mom was like, ahhh satan store. lol. But it was cool. I love me mommy, listen to this. My mom told me I needed a new pair of shoes, so I saw these really cute black and pink skate shoes, and some silver low-top chucks. And I tried them both on, but was just gonna get the skate shoes. Then my mom was like, well, if you let me wear the chucks sometimes, we can buy both. I was like.... HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! lol :D I didn't find any jeans, but some really cute black pants with grey stripes in hot topic, so that was awesome. I'm going back later to get this belt that buckles like a seat belt, and has bottle tops all over it. :D I still don't like to shop, but whenever my mom does something like that, I remember just how blessed I really am. :) Then we ate at the food court, and then we saw the movie, Hero. I wanted to see Friday Night Lights, but Geoff won the fight. I was glad too, cause Hero was an awesome movie. It's that Chinese, martial arts movie. I highly suggest seeing it, it was sweet. A little hard to follow at times, but awesome. :D I'm just feeling really poopie right now cause I ate too much at the mall and movie, lol, and I'm tired. Had a convo with mom and Geoff in the car on the way to the mall bout what happened Wed. night and just other stuff that's been happening, and we started talking bout our old co op in Cali, and stuff we did. Kinda makes me sad to think about it. I mean, God's done a lot for us here, I know that. And I've made a lot of friends that I'm so glad I did. But sometimes I just wonder why all the crap that's happened here had to be included. I mean, I miss having my best friend to understand everything, and let me cry on her shoulder. Sometimes I just don't want to hear advice, I just want to cry. But I know it's selfish cause crap happens to everyone. I guess that makes me less of a person, cause I can blame my problems on moving here, even though that's not a good reason...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know that it never goes away.
All I feel everything I'm not today.
So I try and I try to make everything right,
I don't feel like I'm doing it, it effects me.
Wouldn't listen even if I told you, who am I to say?
You're to busy with the lies they sold you,
and all the cure effects your day.
Now you walk wherever they will lead you, while the edges slowly fray.
I know that everything can change.
What I need is to open up again.
So never again will I look back and faint
cause today's not the past, I don't need to relive it.
Wouldn't listen even if I told you, who am I to say?
You're to busy with the lies they sold,
and all the cure effects your day.
Now you'll walk wherever they will lead you, while the edges slowly fray.
Are you satisfied? I've given all I can.
And are you pacified? Or do you want more from me?
Wouldn't listen even if I told you, who am I to say?
You're to busy with the lies they sold,
and all the cure effects your day.
Now you'll walk wherever they will lead you, while the edges slowly fray.
I've learned that this life's not just a game.
Just a light between the pleasures and the pain.
Wouldn't listen even if I told you, who am I to say?
You're to busy with the lies they sold,
and all the cure effects your day.
Now you'll walk wherever they will lead you, while the edges slowly fray...
This has been a week of ups and downs. Man, I swear, every teacher has given me a butt-load of homework every night this week! I have not gone to bed before 11 pm any night this week either. :P Silly teachers. I've sat outside every day, 'cept for Wednesday cause I went to the band room to hang out while Robert, Elijah, and some kid named Jeff played some music. I've had like 7 quizzes and tests altogether this week. It's been craziness! Yesterday morning, I got to school, and turns out I had to make up my school pics right then. So I threw on some eyeliner and ran into the auditorium. Lol, it was funny, they'll prolly look like crap. Well, he still has a gf, thought it wouldn't last. But I'm honestly ok now. He's an awesome friend, and at least we talk a lot, and hang out still. I'm glad for that. I guess I'll go back to being the "buddy, pal, like a guy" friend. Ha! So while all my guy friends are having girl problems, I'm there to help them out. :D Oh man, Robert got some secret admirer love note today. I felt bad for the girl, but I laughed so hard when I read it. I mean, maybe she really does like him, but she didn't even sign her name. It was all "6th grade-like". lol! Well anyways, It think the family and I are gonna go see a movie or something. :D Yay!! Imma gonna go now....
Is it Luck??
Mood:  amorous
Now Playing: Primus--Sailing the Seas of Cheese
This morning was interesting, and fun too. I went to church for both of the services to help carry flags. Allow me to explain: this weekend was our church's "go" missions weekend. So Friday night they had this missions forum where you could come and talk to real missionaries from around the world. Then yesterday, we had this missions convention thingy-mabobber. The gym was split up into different regions from around the world, and each region had information, food, and missionaries from that region. So yeah, I helped in the Africa area, cause I'm going there in November. I mostly helped doing crafts with the kids, it was fun. So yeah, this morning, we had a special missionary speaker, and during one of the songs, a bunch of people carried in flags from countries all over the world. I got to help. I swear I thought I would like trip over myself ten times. But I didn't :D yay! I had the Israel flag at the 8 am service, and the United Kingdom flag at the 10:30 service. On Saturday, at the missions thing, Matt and Logan brought two of their neighbors, Forrest and Devon. They're funny, lol, but they were being nasty this morning, so I walked away. Yay for me, that's rare! lol :D But yeah, hmmm...oh yeah, I remember now. I'm like so in a good mood. lol. I think I have more fun hearing about my friends' good fortune, than to have my own. I mean, for real, Sarah is like so freaking happy all the time, and it makes me happy! lol. Everyone better prepare for a wedding sometime in the near future. Just kidding, but still, it's awesome. lol, for the sake of her happiness (and mine too, lol) I will hang anyone from a tree by their hair if you try to mess with her and Lee, lol. The hair and tree thing is an inside joke. :D Cory and Seth showed me some passage in the Bible that says something about women not talking in church, and I tried to act mad, lol. Then I showed Seth Genesis 5:8 that says, like "and Seth lived 912 years, and then he died." lol! :D And Cory was like, "at least he dies EVENTUALLY." Amen! lol. Yesterday, Stew said that "anyone's a better boyfriend than * is." Lol, no names :D. Sheesh, William and Josh are coming back today from wherever they are, 4-wheeling. lol, they're not riding their 4-wheelers back. :D But yeah, that's good news, I hope they come back with all of their limbs. :D
Why don't blind people go skydiving?...It scares their dogs... :D
Mood:  lazy
Yay! I finally got to do something on my day off. :D Tonight I went out to eat with my daddy at Pop's Pizza, then I went to Mebane to see Ryan. We walked up to Cory's house to get him, then we just walked around town looking for ice cream. lol :D We finally found some at Lowe's, so we took it back to Ryan's house and watched Bicentennial Man. We never finished the movie, it's really long. But it was cool, cause I love hanging out with Ryan and Cory. So yeah, it's really late, and I'm heading off to bed....oh the joys. :D
Wow, I missed a day in here, I actually didn't write yesterday! Amazing! lol. Well yesterday was a AWESOME Friday!! My friend Lori got on homecoming court!! It was unexpected too. Now I don't mean that in a mean way. She's awesome, a christian, really funny, and really nice. But you know, in the real world of popularity, and clothes, and all that, you know. And there's only been the same 2 girls from our grade on homecoming court all of high school. So yeah, I was soooo excited. Well, last night I had nothing to do, and it was cool cause Josh called to ask me to go skateboarding. Well it was kinda late, and dark, so his mom changed her mind. But I still got to go over and just chill and watch a movie. So yeah, that was fun, but we only got through about 30-45 minutes of Cold Mountain when they had to go to the hospital to see his grandma. So we didn't finish the movie, but oh well. It was still fun while it lasted. This morning we had our 2nd meeting for the Africa Mission Trip. I'm sooo excited about it. We have all these fund raisers and such set up. Everyone ask me about them, they're great. We're gonna have this Chick-Fil-A night where if you come in there and mention the church when you buy food, we'll earn some of the profit. And we're selling calendars, so buy one, they're awesome! So yeah, that's about it, I hafta go help set up Riverside for Hang Time tomorrow...everyone come at 4 pm tomorrow!!
Pictures from Labor Day!!
Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: Nothing....
Topic: This is cool
Here are the pics from yesterday (Labor Day):
After we picked up Cory, we had time to kill, so we went to the new Family Dollar in Mebane.
We had fun messing around with the stuff. We had to hide from the lady that worked there to get this picture.
Oops, those dollar store cleaning items can be dangerous...
Oh my gosh, this sign is no joke, we really saw it! It was on the highway just by the Hillsborough exit!! It was sooo funny! (It says "hell" in case you can't tell)
After we picked up Brittany, we went bowling at the place near Red Lobster, Chili's, etc. It was fun! It's Ryan being stupid with my camera, cause I'm all sideways, lol.
Here's Brittany with our bowling ball..lol. We had such a blast! Brittany actually beat Cory, woo hoo!
Lol, don't get the wrong idea, there was no under-age drinking going on. lol. We saw this empty beer bottle sitting on one of the video games, so Brittany picked it up. Lol, she would make a good beer commercial, wouldn't she? lol.
Gladly, the cross-eyed bear....
Mood:  hungry
Now Playing: Nothing...lol.
Topic: This is cool
Wowzers...yesterday was awesome. I got to sleep in so long, oh yeah! Then daddy and I rode our bikes and talked about funny ways to say hymn names. Such as my title: you can make "Gladly, the cross I'd bear" to be "Gladly, the cross-eyed bear". Lol, it was funny. Then I went to Chrissy's house and we all went to her sister's house for an awesome California BBQ for labor day. That was some awesome "shiznut" as Melinda says. Oh my gosh that sounded stupid. Well anyway then me, Chrissy, and her two older sisters went to Cat's Cradle to see Boxbomb. That was fun. Man, The Urban Sophisticates were awesome! They had like bass, drums, guitar, trumpet, and trombone. Lol! They were awesome. They were a Christian band too. Oh yeah, and I think the first band was called Fanning the Fire, or something like that. Yeah, the singer was skinny, and looked like he was on Viagra. They were pretty good, but it looked like porno on stage. lol. I saw some people from school. Sadly, they were useless cause they were very stoned. Chrissy's sisters are awesome, they were like dancing to the rap in between bands, it was so funny. Well anyway, this morning was fun. I worked in the 1 year old nursery with Elaine, and the only kid in there was Gray. It was fun, but easy of course. lol :D. Well yeah, me and Geoff are just chilling at home...as usual. But I don't mind the break, cause this has been an awesome weekend!
Panthers!....you know!! Lol, what's wrong with this picture??
Mood:  energetic
Now Playing: Primus--Sailing the Seas Of Cheese (again!!)
Topic: This is cool
Oh my gosh, today was so great. We didn't do anythign in French, Chemistry, or US History. I have like no homework over the weekend. And, it's a THREE DAY WEEKEND!! I am so hyper and happy and excited! I went to the Orange vs. Cedar Ridge football game tonight. Orange won!! GO PANTHERS!! Oh my gosh, we thought we were going to lose so bad. In the last, like minute, we scored on an awesome catch! Well yeah, so I rode home with Andy and Kyle. We rode in his truck and listened to "save a horse, ride a cowboy." I felt way too redneck for my own good, but it was ok cause I was hyper, lol. Well, my dad ended up staying home for the weekend. So it's me, daddy, and Geoff here. I have nothing to do, I'm going to have to find someone to hang with. Wow, I really need sleep. I'm half hyper, and half about to pass out from tired. lol. Well yeah, everyone has a boyfriend or a girlfriend! Sheesh! That just came to me, cause of the football game. No, correction, everyone but me, lol. But it's ok, cause all the single guys I know are losers. lol. Only joking...sheesh. Even guys from school that liked me last year have girlfriends. Yikes, it's so wrong. Well that was my "Lizzy Random Fact For the Night." I'm off to bed now...maybe I can get some sleep. Sweet dreams...
**So here I am, it's in my hands
and I'll savor every moment of this.
So here I am, alive at last
and I'll savor every moment of this...
If you want me back, you're gonna have to ask
nicer than that, nicer than that...
Tonight was fun. I'm so tired though! I don't want to actually get out of bed tomorrow and go to school. I have to be up at 6:30, while some people *cough, Seth* lol, get to sleep in. :-P Poo. Well anyway, tonight, I got to see them in the funny AWANA costumes. I ate a lot of good, free food. Loved that. I'm excited about tomorrow night. I'm going to see my buddy Ryan play his guitar in this coffee house in Mebane. It's going to be fun. Hi Ho! It's off to work I go....homework that is. If I survive, I will write again.
I just got home from school. Wow...school takes up a good amount of my day. lol. It's 4:15 and I'm avoiding homework as usual. I'm still exhausted from the weekend. I was in Asheville all weekend at the CYIA reunion. Oh my gosh, my back hurt so bad, cause when we were on the AWESOME downhill slip'n'slide, I pushed Bobby, who in turn, landed on my head. Ouch! I had to take some crushed up aspirine which was nasty, but better than having to swallow a pill. Well yeah, so when I got home Sunday, I went with Leighton and Josh to a concert at Ace's Basement in Greensboro. That was awesome! I still have bruises on my legs from getting pushed into the stage too much. I told my friends today that my parents beat me. lol. I told them the truth eventually. Gosh, I had a quiz today, I have 2 tests tomorrow, and 2 tests Friday. Yikes :-/.
