BIOGRAPHY: (this is what you missed)
Die All Bears came about by pure chance. their previous incarnation the OUTOUTOUT had been a 4piece punk rock outfit. after their guitarist departed three days before a show, they decided to play without him. OUTOUTOUT played their last ever show as a three piece with DIDDY hitting drums, AARON hitting guitar and TABITHA swinging microphones in what would prove to be the next step towards what Die All Bears would eventually be.
during the intervening changeover, the band were becoming more and more influenced by the "single note" guitar bands like Bratmobile, Beat Happening, Gossip and other riot grrrl bands like Huggy Bear. in the process a new band emerged based around these influences as well as bands like Siouxsie And The Banshees.
they made their debut at the Ladyfest Festival in Exeter just as OUTOUTOUT had the previous year with four songs and a DURAN DURAN cover. they thus played here and there around various dive venues. they were the only "riot grrrl" band in their hometown of portsmouth! and no-one gave two shits about them!!!
the 'BEARS were about playing in peoples faces, hitting bum notes! playing the wrong beats, getting drunk! being pro-choice! and sexual deviance! they WERE the new-romantics!!!
they released only one EP on DIE!DIE!DIE! Records, although by the time they split up they had the songs to record another one.
