Part 5: Just like Heaven

It'd been about a month since Tarynne, Estin, and Morgan had gone to spend time with Orgy while they recorded their recorded the new album. They had done their best to get life back to normal but it seemed too hard. Morgan couldn't go a day without talking to Amir; he long distance phone bill was beginning to get outrageous. Estin and Paige had a rather weird relationship, fighting off and on yet they still seemed to have some level of love for one another.
Then, there was Tarynne. The last month had been rather poor for her. She hadn't been feeling well, and she was still feeling bad about the whole affair with Amir even though she hadn't gotten in trouble with Jay or Morgan for it. She just kinda regretted the whole thing for her own reasons.

It was 8:00 am, Tarynne had to be at the store by 9:00 am to open, but she just didn't feel like getting up. She reluctantly rolled out of bed and went to the bathroom; she felt sick and really didn't want to leave the house today. "Oh god, what is it that I've been eating that makes me feel sick every morning?" Tarynne asked herself as she emerged from sitting on the floor and looked into the mirror. "I really look like s***" she continued to herself.
Tarynne got dressed and put on some makeup then walked to her kitchen to get some breakfast before leaving. "Yuck, not a thing looks edible, I think I'll skip breakfast." Tarynne griped after a good ten minutes of staring blankly into the refrigerator. "I'm outa here" she announced as she threw her purse over one shoulder and headed out the door to where her car was parked.
Tarynne was the proud owner of a small used bookstore in town. They didn't get a massive amount of business but it was enough to live on and to employ her two best friends as well as a third person who filled in at the store when Tarynne, Estin, and Morgan were hanging out together. As Tarynne drove up to the store she noticed Estin's ice purple, 2002 Chevy impala parked out front and felt bad for being late. "She'll understand." Tarynne reasoned with herself "Only a b**** wouldn't understand." She continued as she walked inside and was greeted by Est's voice.
"You're late, is everything alright?" Estin asked nervously worried yet the slightest bit cranky.
"Yeah I'm ok, I just got sick again this morning." Tarynne explained to her friend.
Estin sighed and looked at Tarynne sternly. "If you're sick, you are going home. I'll call Morgan she'll come in for you."
"Nah, that's ok" Tarynne said suddenly feeling light headed and stumbling over her own feet.
"That's it Tarynne, go home! Go to bed, or better yet, get your a** to the doctor." Like a mother Estin shuffled her friend out the door to her car. I'm gonna call you tonight and you better have gone for a check up or at least made an appointment."
Tarynne nodded feeling a little annoyed, it was everyday Estin suggested going to a doctor though, she was kinda anti-medication. Maybe this could be serious. She started her car and headed home to make an appointment with the doctor.
Meanwhile, Estin was back inside the store and already on the phone with Morgan. "Yeah, she's on her way home right now, I told her to go to the doctor, it's not normal to be sick every morning." She explained to Morgan.
"No it's not normal" Morgan replied.
"So you'll be here at ten thirty?" Estin asked to verify what Morgan had said. "Ten thirty or ten forty-five, I'll hurry." Morgan replied as she hung up the phone and prepared to go to work.

Morgan barged through the door at ten thirty-nine finding Estin slammed with customers. "Hey sorry I'm a little late, I'll hurry and start the other computer" she said as she walked to the back of the office and set her purse down. Morgan switched on the computer on the counter beside Estin and prepared to help customers.
The phone rang just as Morgan finished her last trade; she reached over to answer it. "Oh hi Tarynne, you wanna talk to Estin? Ok here you go." She handed the phone to Estin and took over what Estin was doing.
"Hey Tarynne feeling any better?"
"Yeah a little better, I have an appointment with Doctor Meyer at three." Tarynne answered as she took a sip of water.
"Good, I'm glad you were able to get in. You'll let us know what she finds when you know right?"
"Of coarse I will."
"Ok then is there anything else you wanted?"
"Nope just wanted to let you know that."
"I better go then we are getting another rush and a customer wants to know where to find the Dorothy Garlock books."
"Sounds good"
"Alright, talk to you later, take care."
" I will, bye."
"Bye." Estin hung up the phone and directed the middle-aged woman to the author she wanted.

It was six o'clock when Morgan flipped the sign on the door from "open" to "closed" and stepped outside to lock the door and head home. Estin had left a couple hours before so Morgan held her pepper spray in one hand and her keys in the other as she walked alone in the dark to her car. "Damn this are of town is awful at night." She said to herself as she got in the car and drove away.

Estin was sitting at home at her computer instant messaging a couple people when an IM popped up on her screen. It was Paige.
"Hey darling, what's going on?"
Estin smiled and began to type a message back. "Hey paigey babes, what's going on with you not too much is up here?"
"Ah, come on babe I know something had to have happened today, I don't like talking about myself, I wanna hear about you." Paige typed insistently.
"Ok, Ok. Let's see what happened?" Estin replied. "Oh yeah, Tarynne hasn't been feeling well lately so I made her go to the doctor. In fact I should be hearing from her soon."
"Well, tell her to get better and send her my love, I need to go, I just got a phone call love you baby I want to see you again." Paige typed then quickly signed off, leaving Estin unable to say goodbye.
"Well that was a great conversation." Estin complained silently to herself as she got off the computer and went to the kitchen to get dinner. She opened the refrigerator and pulled out some grape jelly and a Pepsi then walked to the cupboard to get some peanut butter and bread. "Damn, I really need to get out of this house, I'm running out of food." She said to herself as she pulled the last to pieces of bread from the sack and wadded it up into a ball.
Meanwhile, Tarynne had just come home she walked to her bedroom and flicked on the lights, then picked up the phone to call Estin.
"Hello?" Estin answered the phone.
"Hey how'd it go at the store after I called today?" Tarynne asked.
"Oh, it went pretty well, kinda busy. How are you, did the doctor find anything?" "I'm fine for now, they're doing some tests and they'll let me know what's wrong by the end of the week." Tarynne explained to her friend, a slight hint of worry was in her voice.
"You sound worried, what's wrong?" Estin asked beginning to get worried herself.
"Well, I'm pretty sure I know what's wrong with me, as soon as she did the test I knew deep inside it was the right one to do." Tarynne sighed. "If it is what I think it is I have a rather big piece of news for Jay and Amir."
Estin sighed and paused for a moment. "You think you're pregnant don't you?"
"Uh huh" Tarynne reluctantly admitted.
"And it could be Jay's or Amir's"
"Uh huh." Tarynne sighed "And if I am pregnant, and it ends up being Amir's baby, I'm gonna have a constant reminder that I slept with Morgan's man during a bad moment in their relationship."
"True, but she slept with Jay too." Estin tried to make Tarynne feel better.
"Yes, but she's not reaping the consequences." Tarynne responded guiltfully.
Estin didn't know what to tell Tarynne, she had no clue how her friend was feeling, and she sorta felt like lashing out and yelling at Tarynne for not being on birth control. But she also wanted to go over to her friend's house and wait with her until the doctor called.
"What will I say to Morgan if I am pregnant?" Tarynne asked woefully.
"I don't know, if it were me I'd talk to the men involved before talking to Morgan."
"I can't very well keep this from Morgan until I see them again and I'm not telling them over the phone." Tarynne demanded logically.
"Just tell her you're sure it's Jay's she doesn't have to know it could possibly be Amir's." Estin replied.
"Ok, you're right, I can do that. I never thought I'd say this but I just hope I'm not pregnant and I won't have to deal with any of this." Tarynne confessed truthfully.
"I hope so too."
"I better go now, Morgan will want to know what happened at the doctor today. I'll just tell her that they're running tests."
"Call me as soon as the doctor calls you." Estin demanded as she hung up the phone and went back to eating her sandwich.

Tarynne tried four or five times to get a hold of Morgan and finally gave up when she came to the realization that Morgan was probably on the phone with Amir, she knew that could take a while so she went ahead and started her nightly reading. Sure enough, Morgan had been on the phone with Amir for a couple hours now and they didn't show any signs of cutting off the conversation any time soon.
"How are Tarynne and Estin doing?" Mir asked curiously, he seemed to ask this question about once a week.
"They are doing pretty good, Tarynne's been sick and went to the doctor today, Estin has been sorta lonely. I don't think she and Paige are doing well." Morgan explained.
"I don't think they are either, especially since Paige's ex-girlfriend started calling him recently." Amir agreed.
" Um, she's been calling him, and he's been talking to her?" Morgan was shocked. "And does he mention Estin in these conversations?"
"He makes it sound like this long distance thing with no communication involved." Amir admitted to Morg.
"You're kidding me, what a jerk. Estin's sitting here lonely cause she wants to be faithful, and he's hanging out with his ex." Morgan rolled her eyes she was appalled.
"Yeah he has been a jerk about it." Amir agreed. "I mean god, if he likes his ex so much why doesn't her just tell Estin."
"No kidding, she's not too thrilled about the whole thing between them right now anyway. I guess he doesn't want to do it because he made such a big deal out of it in the first place." Morgan agreed. "They should have just stayed friends they never stop fighting now."
" The last time they were both happy about what's between them was when Estin left a month ago, if even then." Amir pointed out. "Kinda seems like they were happy to get rid of each other."
"Kinda does doesn't it?" Morgan agreed once again.
"I could never be in a relationship with anyone I didn't get along with I mean ever since my son's mother I've been very careful to stick with people I get along with." Amir continued the conversation.
"But it's ok to have a disagreement now and then it builds the relationship, like with us."
"Very true, you and I are definitely closer after our little incident." Amir agreed.
"Hey you mentioned Michael earlier, isn't he gonna come see you this month?" "Yeah, I didn't remember telling you that." Amir mused. "He should be coming on the ninth and staying through the twenty-first. That is if his mother cooperates."
"Well I hope she does, it's been a while since you've seen him." Morgan supported Amir's hope.
"Yeah it sure has, it's been a while since I've seen you too, I wish you could come meet Michael."
"It has only been a month."
"That is thirty days too long." His cheesy reply made Morgan giggle.
"Well we have to try and survive without each other until I can get the money to move out there." Morgan had to be reasonable.
"Since you're saving that money, you can't fly back either." Amir responded sadly.
"Amir, we'll be fine we'll just talk on the phone all the time."
"That is until it's time to hang up."
"I guess it's that time again huh?" Morgan always dreaded this time.
"Yes it is, I love you hun, talk to you tomorrow." Amir hung up the phone and Morgan went to bed, it was 1:00 am.

Morning came all too soon for Tarynne and as was customary she once again felt sick. "That damn doctor better call soon cause I want to know what's wrong with me." She complained as she got into the shower.
Tarynne was scheduled in at the store at ten this morning and wanted to be there early in case the doctor called, so she hurried through her morning routines and left the house at 9:15 which would put her at the store at 9:30. When Tarynne arrived, Estin was surprised to see her so early, she ran to her friend's side to verify that she was ok. "Everything's alright, right? Nothing's wrong" she asked worry filled her heart.
"Yes Estin everything is ok, I just wanted to be here early in case the doctor called." Tarynne explained to her frantic friend. "Morgan's coming in at two right?"
"Yeah two until six." Estin looked at the schedule to verify.
"Ok cool." Tarynne replied as the phone rang and a customer approached the counter. "I'll get the phone" Tarynne jumped as she put the phone to her ear.
"Hi Tarynne, this is Dr. Meyer's secretary, I am calling to set an appointment with you to go over your test results with the doctor." A pleasant young voice greeted Tarynne.
"Oh Hi." Tarynne replied nervously, "When's the earliest we can meet?" she asked. "The earliest I have is 2:45 this afternoon. She'd like to speak with you no later than Friday." The secretary explained.
"I'll take the one this afternoon, I want it over with."
"Ok then, you're set."
"May I bring someone with me?"
"If you would like that would be permissible."
"Ok, thank you, see you this afternoon." Tarynne hung up the phone and waited for Estin to finish with the customer.
Estin placed the woman's books in a bag and turned toward Tarynne, "So what's up?" "You're coming with me to the doctor at 2:45." Tarynne ordered her best friend. She didn't need to ask.
"Ok cool, then after that we can figure out what to do." Estin accepted the non- invitation to her friend's doctor's appointment.
Business was rather slow throughout the day; Morgan walked in at ten till two ad immediately got to work. "We're gonna head out, I'm going to Tarynne's doctor appointment with her. We'll let you know what her test results show." Estin informed Morgan as she and Tarynne grabbed their jackets and left for the doctor's office.
As the two walked together up the two flights of stairs to Dr. Meyer's office, Tarynne's nerves began to make it quite apparent they were there. She'd never felt this nervous in all her life, she'd felt more emotions in the past 3 days then she had in her entire life.
The nurse directed Tarynne and Estin to a small office and told them to have a seat in the two chairs, which sat in front of a large oak desk. The walls were decorated with a number of certificates from several well-known medical organizations. Dr. Meyer was definitely qualified. About fifteen minutes passed, the girls had sat in silence the entire time, and finally an older woman stepped into the room holding a medical chart and she sat at the desk. "Hello Tarynne, this must be one of your two best friends."
"Yes, this is Estin." Tarynne replied just wanted the doctor to get on with it.
"Ok so let's get on with the purpose of our meeting, neither of us want to waste time." The doctor smiled a friendly smile then looked down at the medical chart and sifted through some papers inside.
Tarynne swallowed, it felt as if the lump in her throat would never go away, with every page the doctor turned her nerves got worse and worse.
"I'm not going to beat around the bush Tarynne, I have a strong belief that you know what ails you so I'll just get right to it." Dr. Meyer announced as she cleared her throat. "Congratulations, you're gonna have a baby." She announced with a smile and a sparkly tone of voice.
Tarynne sighed heavily and turned to Estin, Estin was smiling at her. They'd been right! And even though she was happy, Tarynne still had to figure out who's it was and let Jay and Amir know. "Thank you doctor, it's good to know for sure." Tarynne spoke as she stood and shook the doctor's hand.
"I'd like you to set up an appointment with an OB before you leave. Lisa, my secretary will do that for you." Dr. Meyer explained as she directed the girls out of the room and to her secretary's desk where Tarynne did exactly what the doctor wanted.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Tarynne walked into her empty house and went straight to the bedroom where she had the phone hooked up. She started to dial Jay's number but stopped mid dial. "What am I gonna tell him? 'Hi honey, I'm pregnant, it might not be yours?'" She asked herself shamefully. "Maybe I should tell he and Mir at the same time, or maybe I'll just wait till Jay calls me." Just as Tarynne finished convincing herself she should tell Jay and Amir in person, the phone rang. It was Jay, she knew it was. "Hello?" she answered.
"Hey baby, I heard you've been sick." Jay's beautiful deep voice caressed Tarynne's ear compassionately.
"Yeah, a little under the weather but I'm fine now."
"Anything I need to know?" He asked as if he knew she had something to tell him.
"No, nothing." She responded guiltfully.
"Ok then So, what would you say if I told you we were coming there for a visit in a couple months?" He asked eagerly.
"I'd say when and where?" she replied excited.
"We're gonna be in the springs staying at a small hotel in March."
"Why are you gonna be there?"
"We have an interview with a magazine that's based there, they were gonna fly a reporter here but we saw it as an opportunity to see you three, have a vacation, and try to convince you to come back with us." Jay explained as well as hinting once again for Tarynne to move to California.
"As tempting as moving there is, you know selling the store would be hard on me." Tarynne explained to Jay reluctantly.
"Well I have a while to keep trying to convince you otherwise."
Tarynne smiled bashfully, she wanted so badly to tell Jay she was pregnant but she couldn't yet, not while they were on the phone.
"Tarynne are you there?" Jay asked after she'd ignored a question that he'd asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm here, I'm sorry I was just thinking about how nice it'll be to see you." She replied.
"I asked you if you wanted to talk more or if you had plans for this evening."
"Oh, I'm actually I don't have plans but I am really tired, I think I'm getting sick again." Tarynne couldn't believe she'd just said that, she never passed up the opportunity to talk to Jay, especially not for sleep.
"Ok, then, I wish I could be there to make you better, but I'll let you sleep now. I love you." He said as he hung up the phone leaving Tarynne to sleep.

Morgan was home after work and on the phone with Amir by 8:00 PM.
"So has Paige been spending time with his ex more lately?" She asked worried that he had been.
"Yeah, he's with her right now actually. I guess he told Estin he's at a party which is half true."
"He's at a party with his ex?"
"Yeah he's at a party here, with his ex."
"You're on the phone with me instead of enjoying your own party?" Morgan asked.
"Yes." Amir replied bashfully.
"Ya know, why doesn't Paige just tell Estin the truth?"
"Maybe he wants to wait and tell her in person in March." Amir hinted subtly "What do you mean IN PERSON you aren't gonna be here in March, and we aren't coming there."
"We are coming in March actually. We have an interview with a magazine in the springs." Amir told Morgan excitedly.
"OH MY GOD AMIR! That's so cool, I can't wait to see you!"
"I knew you'd be happy, we'll be there on the nineteenth." Amir replied.
"I can't wait."
"I need to get going, Ryan is begging me to let him use my phone and the girls Head and Munky brought are puking in the shower. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"By Mir" Morgan hung the phone up and smiled. Amir had definitely surprised her. She couldn't wait for the nineteenth of March to come.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

March 19th came fast, and while all three of the girls were anticipating the visit, Tarynne and Estin also dreaded it. Estin knew she and Paige would do nothing but fight most of the time and Tarynne knew that this would be the ideal time to tell Jay and Amir about the baby.
It was February 8th, the guys would be there tomorrow and Tarynne, Estin, and Morgan planned to make the hour-long trip to the springs today and stay there rather than going down the next day.
Estin woke up, got dressed and ready to go, then packed a small travel bag with enough clothes and necessities for a week and took it out to her car. Tarynne and Morgan were leaving their cars at Estin's while they were gone because she had a two-car garage.
Tarynne arrived at Estin's house around eleven and she threw her bags into the trunk of Estin's car then they waited for Morgan.
"So, are you gonna tell Jay and Amir while they're here?" Estin asked in order to strike up a conversation.
"Yeah if I can get a moment when Morgan and Mir aren't together."
"That may be a problem, getting them away from each other. Sometimes they act like they are connected at the hip."
"It wasn't hard to get them apart long enough to get me into this mess." Tarynne joked trying to lighten the mood.
Estin laughed then looked up to see Morgan's car coming down the street. "Morg's coming better stop talking."
"I hate not being able to tell her the baby might be Amir's." Tarynne began to regret the decision she'd made not to tell Morgan the baby might not be Jay's.
"Hey girls, ready to get on the road?" Morgan asked as she got out of her car and grabbed her bags from the backseat.
"Hell yeah we're ready hurry up and get your bags in the car so we can go." Estin ordered as she opened the driver's side door and stepped inside.
Morgan got her bags situated in the trunk then hopped in the backseat behind Estin and buckled her seatbelt. Tarynne got in the passenger's seat just as Estin turned the key in the ignition and the girls were on their way to the springs.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

An hour passed and Estin pulled into a restaurant parking lot near the hotel they'd be staying at. The three girls exited the car and went inside the restaurant to eat and call the hotel to let them know they were here a day early.
Once they were seated the girls sat quietly for a moment not sure about what to talk about, until Morgan chimed in. "So, Tarynne, are you nervous about telling Jay about the baby?"
"Yeah of coarse I am." Tarynne replied giving Estin a 'if she only knew' kind of look.
The girls continued to talk here and there throughout their meal then when they were finished eating Estin went to a payphone and called the hotel. "What do you mean you know we're early?" Estin spoke to the woman on the other end of the line. "They already got there?" she asked curiously.
"Yes mam, four gentlemen and one lady checked into their rooms about half an hour ago."
"There must be some mistake, we're staying with five men, there shouldn't be any women there yet." Estin confusedly explained to the lady.
"Well it may have been a man, it had long blonde rooted black hair, and black nails. You could tell it hadn't had a dye job in a while." The lady explained.
"Oh Ok, yes that was a man and his hair is like that on purpose." Estin replied anger built within her as she hung up the phone. "How could ANYONE mistake Amir for a woman?"
Tarynne and Morgan looked at Estin blankly. "Are they there already?" Tarynne asked nervously.
"Yes and the lady at the hotel thought it was 4 men and a lady, she though Amir was a damn lady." Estin replied angrily.
"My Mir is not a woman and I should know." Morgan replied in Amir's defense.
"My god, it's the 21st century you'd think a person could tell the difference between a man and woman," Estin bitched.
"How awful." Tarynne added her tidbit as the three girls left the restaurant, got into the car, and headed to the hotel.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

When Estin turned into the tiny paved parking lot of the hotel, the site of Jay and Bobby standing outside smoking greeted the girls. Tarynne jumped out of the car and took a running leap toward Jay. "I missed you," she said as she threw her arms around his waist.
"Hey gorgeous I missed you too." Jay responded as he placed his arm around Tarynne, bent a little to hug her, and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"What are you guys doing here a day early?" Estin asked as she walked up to Bobby and gave him a side-by-side hug.
"We know you tree would come down a day early so we decided to surprise you." Bobby explained as he reached over to give Morgan a hug and tapped Tarynne (who was still wrapped in Jay's arms) on the shoulder.
"Clever." Estin replied with a smile. "Where's Paige?" she asked after a minute.
"He's upstairs in the hallway next to the candy machine. Or he was the last time I saw him." Jay answered Estin's question and Estin headed up to find Paige.
"Do you want to go find Mir?" Jay asked Morgan as she stepped toward him.
"No, I want to smoke first then I'll find him." Morgan responded politely.
"Ok good cause he was taking a shower and refreshing his makeup." Jay replied.
Morgan giggled as she blew out a puff of smoke. "How was your trip?" She asked Bobby and Jay curiously in an effort to hold a conversation.
"It was fun, Ryan got a little drunk the day before last, and was acting kinda crazy. Just my luck he was in my car and not Bobby's" Jay responded.
"Sounds like Ryan." Tarynne added.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Meanwhile, Estin had located Paige; he and Ryan were in the hallway trying to score free treats from the candy machine. "No matter how much money a person has, they never cease to try to get free things." Estin said loudly to get their attention.
"ESTIN!" Ryan screamed as he pulled his arm out of the candy machine and ran to give Estin a hug."
Paige stood up slowly and walked over to Estin, pushing Ryan out of the way to hug her then kiss her. "How's my girl?" Paige asked sweetly.
"I'm good, how's my man?" she asked.
"I'm doing pretty good." Paige answered; then silence fell over them.
"Ya know, I think I'm gonna go get some change for this hundred and leave you two alone." Ryan said calmly as he left the awkward situation. "Talk to you later Estin."
"How was your trip?" Paige asked as he grabbed Estin's hand and they walked to their room.
"Good" Estin replied "Yours?"
"It was good" He answered as he guided Estin to sit on the bed.
"Paige I just got here," Estin said to Paige assuming she knew what he had planned.
"Damn it Estin, I just wanted to talk!" Paige screamed at her violently. "Ok s*** Paige calm down I'm sorry!" Estin replied defensively "We've only been together five minutes and we are already fighting." Estin was angry.
"I'm sorry Estin, I didn't mean for us to fight." Paige apologized semi-sincerely and hugged the girl on the bed next to him. "Do you have any bags you need help with?"
"Yeah actually I do." Estin stood up and Paige followed her down to the car.
"When did you get this car?"
"I got it a month ago, I've been saving for a nice car since high school." Estin responded as she opened the trunk to her car and Tarynne and Morgan came over to get their stuff. "My other car finally died."
"Hey Paige" Tarynne said as she grabbed her small overnight bag and her makeup case.
"Hey" Paige replied.
"Hey Paige." Morgan greeted
"Hey" Paige replied again.
Paige, Estin, Tarynne, Morgan, Jay, and Bobby all walked up the stairs to their rooms; they'd booked the entire hotel for privacy reasons.
"So when's dinner." Ryan asked when everyone came upstairs.
"We'll decide when Amir comes in here." Jay answered slightly annoyed. All Ryan ever thought about was food, or so it seemed.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Paige and Estin sat next to each other on the floor of Jay and Tarynne's room watching TV; the silence between them was terribly awkward. Amir came into the room and they all decided where to go for dinner and who was riding with whom.
Estin and Paige rode alone together in Estin's car, Paige cleared his throat in a rather suggestive manner, and Estin looked over at him. "Do you want to say something?" she asked rather pissed off.
"Yes I do but I don't want to ruin your week so I'll wait till the day we leave."
"Go ahead and say it, I'm not really anticipating this week the way things are going anyway."
"Ok, I need to admit something to you and I can't say it and better than straight out." Paige took a deep breath and started to talk. "First off, I want you to know I don't want to hurt you ever. I've been spending a lot of time with this other girl lately, and well, we've kinda been sleeping together."
"Oh well I guess I'm the only one that thought we may be able to work out our little problems." Estin said shocked at what Paige had told her.
"I'm sorry Estin, she's my ex-girlfriend, we never got over each other."
"No need to explain, we were hundreds of miles away from each other and we couldn't do anything but fight. What kind of relationship is that?"
"I didn't want to cheat on you no matter how bad our relationship was, but I guess I did."
"Paige it's alright just forget anything ever happened between, we're just friends and nothing more." Estin was getting tired of the conversation she was having with Paige.
"I'm never gonna forget we had our moments. But yes we are just friends, there just used to be some added privileges."
"That's a crude way of putting it but whatever." Estin parked the car and got out, waiting for Paige to get out of the passenger seat, she grabbed her purse.
"Want me to lock it?" Paige asked as he prepared to shut the door.
"Nah, I've got the alarm thing on my keys I'll do it." Estin replied as she pushed the button on her key chain and started walking toward Jay's car just as Ryan got out.
"You guys are standing far enough apart from one another." Ryan blurted out as he started walking with them.
"Ryan don't go there." Estin replied a heartbroken look adorned her face.
"Oh, ok." Ryan replied, now worried about Estin.
The big group went inside and ate, Estin didn't talk much throughout dinner, and she just listened to the conversations around her.
"So who wants to hit the hot tub with me when we get back to the hotel?" Jay asked eagerly as they all stood up and started walking out.
"Not me, I'm gonna get some sleep." Paige answered.
"S*** Paige, where am I gonna sleep." Estin whispered curiously to Paige since she was supposed to share a room with him. Bobby overheard her and began to get curious.
"We'll figure it out later." Paige replied as Bobby came up between the two of them.
"Hey Paige switch me cars, I want to ride with Estin." Bobby said quickly trying to help the two of them avoid having to ride home together.
"Oh Jay, I'll hit the hot tub with you." Estin said quickly as she turned to Bobby and whispered "Thanks."
"Me too and Mir's gonna come" Morgan added.
They all walked to the cars, Bobby got in the car with Estin and they drove off ahead of the others. "Hey Est, do you want to take my bed in Ry's room and I'll take your bed in Paige's room?" Bobby asked as they headed back.
"Bobby that's so cool of you, thank you, are you sure you don't mind."
"Nah, it's not a problem, I don't want you and Paige to have to worry later tonight."
"Thanks Bobby, you're awesome, remind me the next time I'm in California, I'll baby- sit Gavin so you and Shannon can go out."
"That works!" Bobby replied with a giggle as he turned the dial on the radio.

Jay, Tarynne, Amir, Morgan, Estin, and Ryan were relaxing in the hot tub while Bobby was putting his stuff in Paige's room and Paige was watching TV. "Ry, you don't mind sharing a room with me do you?" Estin asked curiously as she got out of the hot tub and wrapped herself in a towel.
"As long as you don't mind sharing one with me." Ryan replied as he got out of the tub. "Actually it should be fun!"
Estin and Ryan walked upstairs to their room leaving Tarynne, Jay, Amir, and Morgan behind. Morgan kissed Amir and got out, "I'm gonna go take a shower."
"Ok I'm gonna stick around here for a little longer, I'll be up in fifteen to twenty minutes." Amir told her as he kissed her goodbye.
Tarynne's heart began to beat heavily; this was her chance to tell Jay and Amir, they were alone together as if it was fate. She cleared her throat. "I'm glad you stayed Amir, cause I need to tell you and Jay something important."
Jay looked at Tarynne wondering what Tarynne could possibly have to say to both of them. He put his arm around her and looked towards Amir. "Well I guess now's the time, what's up baby?"
Tarynne cleared her throat again; she was getting really nervous, she didn't even quite know why. "Um, ok, it's quite apparent by the way I haven't been indulging that something's up." She started out.
"Yeah, I think I know why but what does that have to do with me?" Amir asked curiously.
"Well" Tarynne continued. "First of all I'm pregnant." A weight was lifted off her but another came down.
Jay smiled bashfully "You're pregnant?" he asked.
"Yes" Tarynne answered. "But, this is where Mir comes in."
"Uh oh" Amir said scared to hear what came next.
"I don't know if it's yours or Amir's baby." Tarynne looked apologetically into Jay's eyes and saw the happy gleam turn to a gloomy droop. "I'm sorry Jay, it was that week when Morg and Mir were fighting, the whole thing was so confusing."
"Was it a mistake?" Amir butted in, fearing she'd say yes.
"No Amir, it wasn't a mistake"
"How are we gonna find out who's it is?" Jay asked heartbroken that they weren't sure.
"We'll have to wait till the baby's born in August and do a paternity test." Tarynne explained, her heartbeat slowed and she looked at Amir and then at Jay. "I'm sorry guys, I was stupid, I should have been on the pill, I just quit taking it, it's my fault we're in this mess."
"Stop blaming yourself, we all got into this mess and we'll all get out of it." Amir said forcefully as he got out of the hot tub.
"Don't tell Morgan yet." Tarynne begged him.
"This is kinda hard to keep from her." He replied shocked that Tarynne hadn't told her.
"Please Mir, don't tell her."
"Ok, I won't YET." Mir walked out of the room where the hot tub was located and went to his room just as Morgan had stepped out of the shower. He gave her a hug and walked to the bed and slipped under the covers.
"Is everything ok Amir?" Morgan asked but Amir didn't answer her he just rolled over and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Estin and Ryan were sitting on the floor at the foot of one of the beds, their feet were sockless, Ryan was wearing jeans and a wife beater, and Estin was wearing PJ pants and a tank top.
"Want to watch some TV?" Ryan asked as he pulled a bag of chips out from between the two beds and grabbed the remote.
"Sure, sounds good." Estin replied as she eyed the bag of Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips.
"Want some?" Ryan offered the chips to her in a childish manner as he turned on the TV and turned right to MTV.
"Yes, I love sun chips."
"Cool me too." Ryan replied as he shoved a chip in his mouth. "Want to watch MTV?" He asked with his mouth full.
"Nah, let's find something better." Estin answered as she pulled the channel changer from Ryan's hand and changed the channel. "Oh look a cheesy 80's movie!"
"Cool" Ryan turned his attention to the movie.
"Heather's" Estin blurted out after about ten minutes of silence. Ryan looked at her quizzically. "The movie, its called 'Heathers' Christian Slater and Wynona Rider are in it." Estin explained herself.
"Oh I get it." Ryan replied as he glanced over at the clock. "It's two am," he said shocked.
"Wow, I didn't realize it was that late." Estin replied as she got up off the floor and crawled into bed. Ryan sat next to her on her bed his hand on her shoulder and noticed Estin drifting off to sleep.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Estin woke the next morning to the realization that Ryan had his arms around her. "Good morning, glad you slept well." Ryan greeted her happily.
"Something about falling asleep with a sweet guy friend next to me makes it so much easier."
"Look Estin, I just wanted to let you know that I know about you and Paige."
"How do you know?" Estin asked curiously.
"I put two and two together, I knew Paige had been spending time with his ex, and then last night when you guys weren't talking and switched rooms, I realized he'd told you."
"Oh" Estin replied. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"
"Cause we love you and didn't feel like it was our place to tell you."
"It's nice to know someone cares."
"Oh come on Estin lots of people care."
"I know, you're right, I'm just in one of those moods." Estin replied

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Jay woke to the sound of Tarynne in the bathroom washing her face. "Are you ok babe?" He asked as he walked into the bathroom and gave her a hug. "Are you feeling sick again?"
"Yeah but it's no big deal especially since I deserve it for being so stupid."
"What do you mean stupid? You're not the only one that didn't use birth control."
"Yeah but I am the one that slept with someone else who just happens to be involved with my best friend." Tarynne retorted.
"Hey, I don't have a problem with you and Mir. Morgan and I did the same thing." Jay defended Tarynne against herself.
"But Morgan's not pregnant."
"I don't care if I am or am not the father of that baby, I still love you and you are still my girl and not a thing will ever change that." Jay said, "Not even if the baby's Mir's."
Tarynne smiled, she was confused about how a guy could be so sweet about such a situation. "I love you."
Jay kissed Tarynne tenderly. "I love you too."

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Amir woke with Morgan beside him, he wanted to wrap his arms around her but he felt so terrible about deceiving her that he just couldn't do it.
"What's going on Amir? Is this gonna end up being like the last time we were together?" Morgan asked when she tried to hug Mir and he didn't hug her back. "You can't go running to Tarynne for comfort this time."
"No babe, I'm sorry I just have something on my mind."
"I'm sorry for being a b****. Just stop thinking about whatever's on your mind and hug me back you brat!" Morgan demanded.
Amir hugged Morgan and kissed her forehead, "Don't tell Tarynne I'm telling you this. I just can't keep it from you any longer."
"You two didn't sleep together again did you?"
No, not that, it's just that" Amir paused, how was he supposed to say this? "It's just that you need to know something about when we did sleep together."
"So, out with it already, I'm tired of not having my mirman to cuddle."
"Ok, straight out, Jay may not be the father of Tarynne's baby it might be me."
Morgan blinked then shrugged her shoulders. "Is that all?" she asked curiously. "It makes logical sense that's for sure."
"You're not mad?"
"No, but when will you find out for sure?"
"Not till he or she is born." Amir replied.
"So you'll have to do a paternity test?" Morgan asked even though she knew the answer was yes.
"Yep, I guess so." Amir replied. "You're so great for being so understanding, I know why Tarynne and Estin are friends with you. I love you."
"I love you too Mir, now let's go get Ryan and Est for breakfast."

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Amir and Morgan walked down the hall to Ryan and Estin's room, expecting to hear the usual ruckus Ryan caused but were surprised to hear nothing. Amir knocked at the door and waited for someone to answer. "Do you mind? We're talking in here." Ryan said as he answered the door with an irritated look.
"Do you not want breakfast?" Amir asked defensively.
"Estin has a box of Frosted Flakes in here, we'll survive on those." Ryan replied as he closed the door and went back to sit on the bed with Estin. "We've been talking all morning and I still haven't told you the one thing I've been wanting to tell you."
"What might that be Ryan?" Estin asked with curiosity.
"There's one really important thing I must tell you and I don't want you to make any smart ass comment or self conscious statements about it." Ryan prepared to say what he'd wanted to since the moment he and Estin met.
"Go ahead and say it, but you know me I always have a response."
"The moment we met that day a few years ago, I thought you were a very beautiful girl, and in all honesty, I'm incredibly jealous of Jay and Paige for getting their hands on you. I can't even express the severity of that jealousy."
"You're kidding me right?" Estin asked seriously shocked.
"Why do you say that? Why would I kid you?" Ryan asked.
"I guess I just never understood what Paige, or Jay, or now You see in me." Estin replied shyly.
"That's cause we're always so critical of ourselves, we can't see what others see, all we see is what we don't like about ourselves."
Estin smiled at Ryan, her perfectly straight, white teeth stood out from her red lips. "Ryan, you're a lot more than people make you out to be, you're more than a beer guzzling food fiend."
"Well, thanks. I think."
"No, I'm serious, you are one of the sweetest most intelligent guys I have ever spent time with, any girl would be lucky to end up with you."
"Well then I guess you could be very lucky if you wanted to be." Ryan kissed Estin's lips quickly and forcefully then pulled away. Estin didn't have a clue what to say she just sat in shock.
"Ryan," Estin whispered. "Did you just do what I think you did?"
"Yes I did." Ryan replied boastfully. "The other guys have known I liked you from the start, I told them the night we met I just never had the balls to act on it. And besides you and Paige always seemed more cliquey then you and me."
"Well, Ryan. I'm completely flattered and I find you very attractive and you are a very sweet guy, but" Estin began to say exactly what Ry dreaded. "But, the Paige thing isn't gonna be easy for me to get over I'm not ready to turn around and hook up with someone right now."
"Oh, I totally understand." Ryan explained. "Take as long as you need, just remember I'm here when you want me."
"That works for me." Estin agreed.
"Too bad we only have less than a day to spend together and have fun." Ryan ruined the moment with this realization. "We have that interview today and then we have to go back home the next morning."
"Don't remind me." Estin pouted.

The day passed quickly, that night, Jay and Tarynne were in their room just hanging out. When Jay suddenly spoke up. "So, have you thought about coming back to California with me?"
"Jay do we have to talk about this?" Tarynne responded.
"I guess we don't have to but, I do want to be around when the baby is born and that will be kinda hard with you here and me there."
"I can't sell my store and I'm not gonna move unless Estin and Morgan more too which would leave the store with one employee who barely knows how to use a computer." Tarynne explained to Jay.
"Well, you can wait a few months and train someone to manage the store. As long as you are in California a month or two before the baby's due so we can get you another doctor."
"Jay, you don't have to take responsibility for this baby, it may not be yours I don't want you to get attached."
"I want to. Whether it is mine or Mir's I'm gonna treat the baby like it's mine."
Tarynne looked at Jay shocked at what he had just said. "You mean that?" she asked. "Yes I mean it!" Jay replied surprised that Tarynne had to ask him if he was sincere.
"Then yes, I'll move to California. I'll train someone to run the store and find a house in Cali." Tarynne agreed.
"No need to find a house you can live with me." Jay butted in "and I'll come back up and help you move in a couple months if you want."
"Ok, now all I have to do is convince Morgan and Estin to move with me."
"I'll check around for apartments for them."
"Sounds good, I'll talk to them while we are on the way home." Tarynne went into the bathroom to wash all the makeup off her face and prepare for bed while Jay crawled into bed and rest his head on the pillow. Minutes later, Tarynne slipped into bed beside him and kissed his forehead. "You're the sweetest guy I've ever met Jay Gordon." She said as she turned onto her side and fell quickly to sleep.

Beep Beep Beep Beep.
Estin hated the god awful noise alarm clocks made. She rolled over and looked at the time, four-thirty in the morning, she hit the snooze button but not soon enough, Ryan was stirring in the other bed beside hers. "I can't sleep any later than Five" he whispered to Estin as he plopped his head down on a different part of the pillow then fell back to sleep.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

It didn't even seem like five minutes later when the alarm sounded again, Ryan looked at the clock, it was 5:00 am. He pulled himself out of bed and quietly prepared to leave, packing his things and the majority of Estin's, he figured she probably needed to sleep since she'd be driving this morning.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Tarynne and Jay had been awake since 4:00, packing and spending the remaining hours of their time together talking. "So, you'll look for an apartment Est and Morg can afford?" Tarynne asked as they were on the subject.
"Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard, I'm sure if they need help paying rent we can help." Jay replied charmingly. Tarynne smiled as she stuffed her makeup in her bag and prepared to lift her suitcase.
"I don't think so!" Jay exclaimed angrily as he grabbed her arm. "No heavy lifting I'll carry it."
"You act like I just had heart surgery or something." Tarynne giggled. "I can still carry things." "I know, I just don't want you to." Jay replied as he heard a knock at the door.
Amir, Morgan, and Paige stood in the hallway outside the room. "You guys ready?" Paige asked as he grabbed one of the bags Jay was holding.
"Thanks Paige." Jay responded "I think we're ready."
"Cool, now the only people we are missing are Bobby, Estin, and Ryan." Paige replied.
"They're in the parking lot." Tarynne said as she looked out the window of the room and saw Ryan and Estin talking. "They're pretty intense about whatever they're talking about."

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

"You're crazy Ryan. I'm not gonna just up and move to California, leaving my two best friends here." Estin said to Ryan after he proposed she move to California.
"Suit yourself, but FYI there's always an extra room in my apartment." Ryan replied as the other 5 exited the hotel and headed to the cars they'd be riding home in.
"Are you guys stopping in Utah tonight?" Tarynne asked Jay as she hugged him goodbye.
"Yeah, I'll call you and see how our idea goes over." Jay answered her as her hugged her back. Morgan and Amir had slipped away from the group and were kissing their good-byes when Paige interrupted them rushing Amir into the car. "We want to beat Jay, Bobby, and Ryan to Utah" he exclaimed.
"Um, Paige I'm going with Jay and Ryan, Bobby's driving you dork!" Amir reminded Paige then went back to saying goodbye.
"Hey Estin, drive carefully." Amir yelled to Estin who was standing beside her car with Ryan.
"I'll let you know about you're offer Ry but now guarantees, ok?" She said as she hugged him goodbye. "Thanks for being you." She said as a tear fell from her eye.
"I'll call you when we get to California." Ryan wiped the tear from Estin's cheek and pried himself away from her and walked toward Jay's car just as Jay had kissed Tarynne one last time.
"Let's go Amir we need to get on the road." Jay shouted and Amir quickly came to the car leaving Morgan to get into Estin's car.
The guys pulled away from the hotel, leaving the girls alone to drive home. Estin got into the car and her friends got in the passenger's seats and they were off toward home.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Tarynne, Estin, and Morgan all made the decision to move to California and their three months of preparation were chock full of things to do, as with any large move. They'd found a perfect person to manage the store and trained her, they packed all their belongings except for what they really didn't need, and they sold those.
Finally, it was time for the girls to move they'd rented a large moving van and convinced Estin's brother to drive it to California for them. The girls and Estin's brother took their time driving out they stayed an extra night in Vegas causing their trip to take four days. But they made it there and were greeted at Bobby's house by everyone.
"Hey girls how was your trip?" Paige asked when he saw them standing in Bobby's living room.
"It was alright" Estin replied as she looked out the door to see if her brother was gonna come in. "What a dork!" she exclaimed.
"Who?" Paige asked curiously.
"Oh just my brother, he drove out with us to help out."
"Does he not want to come in?" Ryan asked.
"I guess not, like a said what a dork!'
"He's an odd duck" Tarynne chimed in as she happily embraced Jay.
"So Tarynne did you arrange for a doctor here?" Shannon asked in an effort to start a real conversation.
"No I haven't yet."
"Well, here's the name and number of a good one, this is the doctor that did all my check ups when I was pregnant with Gavin."
"Oh cool thanks! How is Gav anyway?" Tarynne asked in reply.
"He's growing up fast. I just put him down for a nap right before you girls got here." Bobby responded with the look of a very proud father.
"A nap sounds good right now." Morgan added her input to the conversation.
"You girls want to stick around for pizza or do you want to head to your new homes and get settled?" Jay asked curiously.
"My brother might want to go out to a club or go visit some friends tonight so maybe we should go unload our stuff at home." Estin commented.
"That would work." Ryan agreed. "Or we could just throw your stuff into my car and stick around." Ryan proposed to Estin.
"Sounds like a plan. Tarynne do you want to put your stuff in my car?" Jay asked curiously trying to get her to stick around and spend time with everyone.
"Yeah Morg you should do the same." Amir agreed with everyone else.
"Ok that works." Morgan and Tarynne agreed in unison.
They went out and put the girl's belongings into the designated vehicles and talked with Estin's brother for a while then they sent Estin's brother on his way and went back to hanging out. They had pizza and drinks for lunch and sat around talking until about 2:30 PM then Estin and Ryan left to go move at least some of Estin's stuff in before dark.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

"Do we need to set your bed up or do you want to take mine tonight?" Ryan asked as they finished moving Estin's dresser into her room.
"Where would you sleep?"
"The floor or the couch." Ryan answered.
"I don't want to put it up if I don't have to but I don't want you on the couch or the floor."
"We'll wait till tomorrow and I'm sleeping on the couch."
"No you aren't!" Estin demanded. "As long as you promise to be semi-clothed we can share your bed." She joked about Ryan's usual nighttime attire.
"You got a deal." Ryan replied secretly hoping they'd never have to set Estin's bed up. He sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. "Now come over here and relax" he demanded of Estin and she plopped down beside him.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

It didn't take Morgan long to get settled at Amir's house, she didn't bring very many things, she'd decided to start completely over when it came to furniture, etc. "I can't believe we're already done unpacking your stuff" Amir exclaimed when he placed Morgan's final little knick-knack on the dresser.
"Well, I didn't have much to bring you have almost everything we need." Morgan replied. "I wonder how everyone else is doing with the unpacking process."

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Morgan had no idea how smart she was bringing so few things, Tarynne had brought so much she and Jay were running out of places to put it all. "Do you really need all this perfume babe?" Jay asked as he pulled bottle after bottle of perfume and body spray from a box.
"Yes as a matter of fact, I do. Not a single one is a duplicate." She replied defensively.
"No matter how hard I try and how many people in the world think I'm gay, I'll never quite understand women." Jay said as he brought himself to his feet.
"And that's why you love me." Tarynne smiled as she wrapped her arms around Jay's neck and kissed him sweetly.
"What do you say we find the couch and relax for the rest of the night." Jay suggested.
"I've got a better place in mind" Tarynne replied suggestively as she slipped down the hallway and Jay followed shortly after.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Meanwhile, Morgan and Amir had fallen asleep on their couch while watching the news, moving in had been a lot of work regardless of how few things Morgan brought.
Ryan and Estin were home on the floor playing a board game to keep them entertained until they were tired enough to go to bed.
"Do you like the apartment?" Ryan asked in between rolls of the dice.
"Yes, I love it. It's much bigger than I imagined a two bedroom apartment." Estin replied as she moved her game piece six spaces and giggled. "I still can't believe you own Star Wars Monopoly."
"Well, I can't believe your favorite board game is LIFE!" Ryan replied mockingly. "What, do you really want to get into the whole argument of which is better, cause I've already won that battle." Estin joked as she waved her fist at Ry.
"Oh no, no, no, you'll never convince me LIFE is better than Star Wars Monopoly, or any Monopoly for that matter."
"At least LIFE doesn't have to come in multiple versions of the same game to succeed."
"Tisk tisk Estin, what are you saying? Have we forgotten which game has been around longer? You know Monopoly was a household name long before your precious LIFE."
"Ugh, you make me so angry Ryan Shuck! You are so right!" Estin shouted angrily.
Ryan leaned toward Estin and kissed her quickly. "You're cute when you're angry."
"And you're crazy Ryan, what was that?" Estin asked in shock.
"A kiss. What, Paige and Jay never did that?" Ryan replied like the smart-a** that he was born to be.
"Let me rephrase that" Estin was annoyed by Ryan being a smart-ass. "Why did you just kiss me."
"Cause I couldn't stop myself."
"Do you not have self control?"
"Not when I'm around you." Ryan confessed blatantly. "Are you mad at me for kissing you? Cause you weren't a few months ago at the hotel."
"No, I'm not mad, just confused cause we're just supposed to be friends and roommates for now." Estin replied.
"Well I'm not sure I can just be your friend and roommate. We agreed to hold off till you got over Paige, it's been three months." Ryan responded honestly.
"Ry, it's cool with me, I totally like you, just tell me one way or the other I want to be on the same page here."
"The other." Ryan replied and he kissed Estin again. Her lips were so soft. About five minutes passed, Estin finally got a moment to breathe. "Oh damn, this is so much better than just being friends." She said as they went back to making out.

August came quicker than expected for Tarynne and her friends, the baby was due in a week and Jay and Bobby had been hard at work building a nursery and decorating it all neat. It was about 8:00 PM on a Saturday night, Jay and Tarynne were sitting on their couch watching a movie when Tarynne felt like it was time to go to the hospital. Jay rushed her to their car and sped the whole way there just like any frantic father. He didn't even think to call anyone.
Jay pulled the car up to the hospital loading area and helped Tarynne inside, while the nurses got Tarynne settled in a room Jay filled out all the necessary paper work then suddenly realized he hadn't called their friends yet.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

Estin and Ryan were sitting at the table eating a late dinner when the phone rang; Estin got up to answer it. "Hello?" she answered slightly annoyed by the call during dinner. "Hey Jay, what's up? She's having the baby? Ok we'll be right there, I'll give everyone else a call."
Estin called Morgan and Amir and they called Bobby and Shannon and asked them to call Paige and his girlfriend. Then, she and Ryan headed to the hospital.
As they drove up Morgan and Amir who lived much closer to the hospital than Ryan and Estin greeted them. "How's she doing?" Estin asked as they ran through the doors of the labor and delivery ward.
"She's doing good, they said it'll be a quick delivery." Amir replied as he grabbed Morgan's hand and they sat down in the waiting room.
"Are you guys gonna bother with a paternity test or are you just gonna assume it's Jay's?" Estin asked the question that inevitably had to be asked.
"I'd kinda like to know if the baby's mine, even though I'm pretty sure it's Jay's." Amir replied honestly.
"I'd want to know too." Ryan replied.
"Of coarse Jay is cool with raising the baby even if it isn't his." Morgan added in, as she looked down the hallway to the door and saw Bobby, Shannon, and Gavin entering the hospital.
"Hey guys, how's she doing?" Bobby asked as he sat down and sat Gavin on his lap.
"They said she was in the delivery room when we came about an hour ago." Amir reported what he knew.
"Lucky thing gets a short labor, I had a pretty long one with Gav!" Shannon expressed her jealousy and smiled.
Another hour passed, Paige finally showed up around midnight, he'd been out and hadn't heard his cell phone ring when Bobby called him. "Hey guys sorry it took me so long, damn cell phones!" Paige explained as he sat down across from Estin and waited with everyone else.
About 15 minutes after Paige arrived, Jay stepped out into the waiting room with a big grin on his face, he cleared his throat and everyone looked up.
"What is it?" Morgan asked eagerly as she jumped to her feet.
"It's a boy!" Jay said bashfully.
"Oh how sweet, do you have a name yet?" Estin asked curiously.
"Not yet" Jay replied. "Mir, they want to do the paternity test while they weigh and measure him so he can be left alone to be with his mom after that." Jay explained as Amir stood up and the two of them disappeared into a small exam room.

__________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________

The sun was just coming up when Morgan and Estin finally got to go see Tarynne and the baby. They walked into the room quietly and went to Tarynne's side to watch the baby lying in her arms.
"Did you pick a name yet?" Morgan whispered anxiously.
"Connor Layne" Tarynne replied with a smile.
"So it's Gordon right?" Morgan asked.
"I'm not sure yet." Tarynne replied as they heard a knock at the door and the others flocked into the room.
"Congratulations Tarynne" Shannon and Bobby said as they walked up beside the bed, Gavin was in Bobby's arms holding tightly to a balloon that read 'it's a boy."
"Thanks guys." Tarynne replied when Bobby told Gavin to hand the balloon to Tarynne.
Paige was standing close to the door not coming close to see the baby. "Are you gonna come see Connor, Paige?" Estin asked curiously as she noticed him over there.
"I guess I could" Paige replied as he stepped closer and stood beside Tarynne looking at the baby. "Hey little man, look at your big baby eyes" Paige aid in a Muppet voice to the baby, everyone laughed.
"See Paige, it's not so bad." Ryan said as he stepped closer and put his arm around Estin.
"Can I hold him?" Estin asked as she reached out her arms.
"Sure." Tarynne carefully handed Connor to her friend who held him kindly. Ryan stood beside Estin as she held Connor; he was amazed by how little he was.
"Look at those tiny little fingers!" Ryan exclaimed as Jay walked into the room.
"Ok guys, time to let mom get some rest." He exclaimed as he grabbed the baby from Estin and shooed everyone out of the room. Jay sat on the tiny hospital bed holding the baby. Tarynne smiled and rested her head on his shoulder looking at the tiny little human being.
"I just spoke with the doctor" Jay said as he watched the baby grab his long index finger. "So, since we have a baby together, what do you say we make it official? Say hello to Connor Layne Gordon." Jay smiled as he paused for a moment. "And his mother the future Mrs. Gordon."
