Reading My Own Obituary

I died today. I looked in the papers, to see what they'd say. "He passed on, but he's still alive, his heart still beats, and his body thrives, his lungs expand, yet he didn't survive."

I was born today. To gain new life, I gave mine away. He took me in, offering the best, and it was mine for obedience, and with my dying breath, I said "Yes".

Surround me, drown me, build me, break me, Jesus I am yours.

I died today. And I don't care what others say. What I received, you can't describe, in three line columns, side by side, cause they don't know what it's like to die.

Surround me, drown me, build me, break me, Jesus I am yours.

He already paid the price, blistered, bleeding sacrifice. I can't fill this void inside, Jesus fill me as I die.
