So what is 'rock music'? There is so many different styles and types of Rock today, that I don't think anyone can gereralize the whole genre of Rock music. Some say it's simply drums, quitars and meaningful lyrics...which it is, in a way, but...really it's more then that! Rock has infulenced whole eras of people, such as 'the Rockers' of the 60's and 'punks' of the 70's and 80's, even the 'Sk8r' generation of today. So what's the big deal about it? To be honest I don't know! I just think it's the way it makes you feel...sounds wierd doesn't it, but if you like Rock your know what I mean.
Now do you wanna chat about Rock?
So with all this completly useless opinionated junk about RoCk!? in your head, your probably now really wanting some more information, would you like pictures with that?
Best Bands in (pop/punk/alt/...)ROCK!
Oh and maybe a you call these band's Punk...so It's the best bands in pUNk then! But I honestly don't care...
1)Led Zeppelin
Don't laugh at me! This is one definatly for the older generations...as my dad introduced me to there greatness (and in the process poluted my brothers mind as he now ONLY listens to old LZ's.) So you may not like them. Then your loss. But this band is definatly the best Rock band ever. I mean, one of their songs is played every Friday at 7:30pm on British televistion as the T.O.T.P theme tune, another is on the ending of the Matrix. How good can you get?
I know, don't laugh at me again! Good Charlotte are good! Not great, Just GOOD. This is why I like them so much because, they knew it. Even with fame these guys are not big-headed or over critical of their music. They're 'not any better then any other band out there' and they understand that. And there well cool, just look at them:
I like there music, and the single 'lifestyles of the rich and famous' is so true. 'The Anthem' also means loads to me. Good charlotte are amazing. But hardly anyone likes their music...and that is large-frilly-pants!!!
Yay! It's amazing how meny bands have numbers in their names, (blink182 for exalmple!) but sum41 are wikid...that is all. 'In too deep' a first, but a classic, and other veriously amusingly named tunes are what this band is about. So...their Canadian, what's wrong with Canadians? Umm, well...Famous Canadians, their different, right? Ok, so they ARE Canadian. Forgive them for that. So you want pictures, I'll give you pictures, ones you'll never forget:
One picture will do!
Here's a lil snip-it of there bio:
This Canadian pop rock quartet broke through in the US charts in 2001 with their sophomore release, All Killer No Filler. Sum 41 was formed in Ajax, Ontario in 1997 by teenagers Deryck Whibley (b. 1980, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; vocals/guitar) and Steve Jocz (b. 1981, Ontario, Canada; drums). Dave Baksh (b. 1980, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; guitar) and Cone McCaslin (b. Jay McCaslin 1980, North York, Ontario, Canada; bass) were recruited to complete the line-up, with the band taking their unusual moniker from the fact that they were formed 41 days into the summer. The quartet created a stir on the local scene with their playful antics and energetic live performances, which in turn attracted the attention of several major labels looking to cash in on the commercial success of poppy hardcore bands such as Blink-182 and the Bloodhound Gang. Sum 41 signed to the independent label Aquarius in Canada, but opted for Island Records in the USA. Their 2000 debut, Half Hour Of Power, helped establish their reputation for snappy pop melodies and puerile lyrics. All Killer No Filler repeated the formula, albeit with a better production sound, and was buoyed by the success of single "Fat Lip" on US radio.
Ha Ha, yes this is probably more pUNk I know...but I like them. The band made up of Dave Grohl (guitar/vocal), Nate Mendel (bass), Taylor Hawkins (drums), Chris Shiflett (guitar) is at their best in the new albem one by one. I just think there fantaberousy...'All my life' is a wikid song (shout dearthsdearthson2thenext1darth...apolagises for spelling errors.)

Yep, maybe you haven't heard these guys yet...but belive me I you will! They are wikid, have a great sound and they put on a good show too. And I have to say they're also one of the better looking bands out there. I heard them @ Bristol Ballon Festival and considering the crowd was really un-reactive and they heat was unbearable they were amazing.
I also need to thank them for saving me from the imense bordom that I was sufforing at the time of being at that festival. Thay also prevented me from going into a coma due to sleep deprevation. Thankz guys! Plus they're good to their fan's as Jason (drums)and James (quitar and vocals) actually e-mailed me back (unlike ne of the good charlotte lot). And their from Birmingham which is kinda nearish Milton Keynes (were I am) isn't it?! So there bound 2 b good.
check them out!
...and finally this is my unnamed dedication to the one I love. You may think what's the point of leaving a dedication nameless, well, this is one of those times where no one, not even those involved, know what's going on. So I'm dedicating this page to a dream, a hope and the future.
