A: It was originally constructed in 1874 as a single-story
schoolhouse, the first in the Ojai Valley.
Q: What was the building used for before you renovated
it?
A: For 15 years, it was a boarding house called the
Ojai Manor Hotel, and it had fallen into extreme disrepair.
Q: How long did you spend fixing it up before it re-opened
as the Moon's Nest Inn?
A: We spent over a year repairing the building, during
which time we added air conditioning, extra bathrooms, fresh paint, and new
landscaping.
