Q: What prompted you to open a bed & breakfast in Ojai?

A: Joan and I have visited several inns around the country and thought we would really enjoy the experience of offering people a home away from home. We are natives of Nevada and were anxious to leave the desert climate. Ojai has such nice weather year round that it proved to be an ideal location for the Moon's Nest Inn.

Q: How many rooms does your inn have, and what's so unique about them?

A: Currently, we have seven different rooms. Each room has been decorated around a certain theme. For example, the Monterey room is decorated with a double brass bed and Monterey-style furniture. The Giant Oak room has large windows with a magnificent view of a large oak tree.

Q: We noticed that there are no phones or televisions in any of the rooms, why is that?

A: We wanted the Moon's Nest Inn to be a place where people could "escape" from everyday life and not be bothered with noisy phones and televisions. We do have a community phone downstairs that any of the guests may use for local and long-distance calls.

Q: In addition to your accommodations, what other services do you offer?

A: The Moon's Nest Inn is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, a fully catered business meeting, or an event as special as a garden wedding.
