AFI's Sing The Sorrow was recently voted as the #1 Punk/Alternative Album of 2003 in Guitar World magazine!!! =D Plus, Jade Puget was voted as one of the Top 5 Most Valuable Guitarists by the readers of Guitar World! Oh, and here's a good quiz. Apparantly I stand for self-mutilating Davey. Oh, and I'm proud of it. *cough* Whatever... ********
Okely dokely, I got my DF package. The shirt is way too big but what the heck =D Anyway, the main reason for this update is because AFI GOT THE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from Alternative Press. This is what it said...
"For their contributions not only to punk rock, but also to the past year in music, which has been one of the greatest we've seen in AP's 19-year history, AFI have been voted by a majority of readers into the AP Hall Of Fame. The band will join 2002's winner, GREEN DAY, 2001's pick, THE CURE, and 2000's inaugural champ, DAVID BOWIE."

YAY! A.F.I won the MTV2 award!!! How awesome...all our voting paid off =P I think everybody (non-AFI fans) was a bit shocked, especially since some of the other bands (QOTSA!!!) are more "popular" than AFI...that guy from Outkast didn't even know who AFI were...you could SO tell by the tone of his voice when he read out the winner. Anyway, yay!
