****The short history of the band 61 down****
The band started out in the Busta Cake's basement with Mike Martin Peter and Tom. After Peter and Tom left to form another band they needed to find a bassist and a singer. 61 Down picked up Dan and Kyle who were previously in S.O.I Statue of Injustice a band with Tony B. and Dave R. who went off to form Reene's Kids nee The Red Scare. Back to 61 Down. The name comes from the bands ages added together and they added down to it the make it sound better from what ive heard. True??? Anyways the band has played Chasers Nightclub in Lockport and Weeksend in Medina and some grad parties but they did a kickass show at the Showplace Theater in Buffalo that only a few came to see. Hence they are available for booking shows and along with Ron Rocco are going to record their first CD in the fall. They have about 15 original songs and they do some covers including Miles Away by Goldfinger Seasons by Good Charlotte and Mover to Bremerton by MXPX. I personally think they sound like whatever Red Hot Chili Peppers would sound like if they added a little punk. Whatever that means. But don't even take my word for it and come out and see them god damnit!
