-Introduction-

"Punk" punk is the music that started it all, it was the whole idea of being rebellious towards the main stream, its has always been meant to be an underground genre, but now with the creation of the so beloved "pop" punk , its taking away what used to be unique about punk music and is turning it into a mainstream genre, the whole idea of making money over just playing music for the hell of it and not caring about money. also if I may add which i will, is that really how long will it take for people to realize that Blink and Nfg are just basically The backstreet boys or Nsync with Guitars and drums added in.,and if you care to argue take a look at how many of their songs are all about meeting girls or getting dumped by girls, wow wait a minute, that’s all backstreet boys and nsync sing about too, its just a further realization that it is not punk it is not any style of punk and never will be. they lost it when they sold out at the beginning.

Another comment... anyone with even a slight familiarity with guitars can see that the stuff Blink (and many other pop punk bands) play is REALLY simple. A bunch of power chords, heavy distortion, a repetitive picking line. They have a one up on the boy bands in that they write their own music, but it sure isn't particularly complex or testing music.
