because you see, whoever in charge is most likely a moral less scumbag because its hard to gain power so you almost have to be a moral less scumbag to get in charge. take the catholic church for example, moral less scumbags. at one point in time they held all the power in europe and when ever a new discovery came along, if it contradicted their ridiculous literal interpretation of the bible, what did they do? put it on their list of banned books, possibly burn it, and possibly kill the author as a heretic. got to love those forgiving, accepting christians. they believed the fucking world sat still and everything revolved around us not because of any actual science but because they just assumed that since us humans are so damn wonderful everything must revolve around us. right...fuck you.

this is just one example and i mention it instead of every other possibility because 1. i hate organized religion because of shit like that and 2. i just read about it so its fresh in my mind. but the fact is, those things happen everywhere. even in america, if you check out or buy certain books, your name goes on a government list. why? because they think they have the right to decide what is right and wrong for everyone. i mean, fuck hitler, nazi’s, and racism in general, but if you want to read mien kampf (sorry, i know i probably spelt that wrong but i dont speak german) you have the fucking right to do so without being singled out. and i dont mean the right as an american because it has been proven time and time again that that doesnt mean shit. i mean the natural right of a fucking human being.

i do understand the idea that the government feels they should and can do anything they deem necessary to keep stability. the problem is, to do that requires stripping freedom away from responsible people because some people cant take care of themselves. so fucking what? im all about helping people when i can, but if they cant help themselves even a little then im sorry, but life sucks, and i deserve my freedom regardless of how many fuck ups exist in my country. its nothing but bullshit machiavellianism, thats the guy who wrote The Prince, a book about how its ok for the government to lie, deceive, and murder to keep social control. social control? that brings me to another topic. Anarchy. yea, Anarchy. it does have its problems though. you see, i believe in freedom. thats what drives most of my concerns. government takes away freedom, and sometimes even lies about that (cough, cough, america, bullshit, cough) but there is no freedom in anarchy either because even though you have no government telling you what to do, anyone can kill you, your family, your friends, or at least steal your stuff and what are you going to do? call the cops? there are no cops because there is no government. some people envision a peaceful Anarchy and would argue that the Anarchy i explained is the wrong idea. i agree with this argument to a point, but lets be realistic. all the people that suck in this world would still suck without government, which is why peaceful Anarchy is fucking impossible(though still worth striving for). the basic premise here is we, as we i mean all human beings, are fucked because no matter what we are slaves in a way. no offense to anyone who has literally been a slave, but lets face it, few people in today’s time have literally been shackled and enslaved so fucking get over it already. freedom doesnt exist, but for one i will never give in to that truth, although i fully recognize it as the truth, but breaking the law really doesnt bother me and accepting that im not free does. what leaders need to realize, is that the answer is never to take away freedom from one side of the population, but to restore freedom to the other side by spending time and money to help said side instead of wasting time and money on the so called war on drugs. the war on drugs?! im not even going to waste my time on this ridiculous republican bullshit, im just going to think about how great pot is and keep on writing.

im coming down the home stretch now, but i would like to be somewhat fair and point something out about the other side if you will. i mentioned about how people in charge always strip away the rights from one side, instead of lifting up another, but others agree with this twisted way of thinking too. subcultures, who always know exactly why the government is wrong, tend to use the same style of thinking for certain subjects. take the nra, for example. in my humble opinion, the nra is probably made up of mostly stupid rednecks who just like to get drunk and shoot things so they want to bitch about their rights to do so. on the other hand, im a pot head semi-alcoholic punk who wants to bitch about my rights too, so who am i to point fingers? another thing, capitalism. i fucking hate capitalism. what a bunch of the worlds worst, most greedy pieces of shit. but you know what? if capitalism were made illegal, we would be throwing away freedom because if we say “no, you cant do that,” we say freedom isnt for you and thats bullshit no matter who your telling it to. the worst problem is, even if we did outlaw things like capitalism and guns and were able to keep from letting that thinking lead to outlawing anything leaders didnt like, it wouldnt matter because there is always someone filled with enough hate, greed AND intelligence to find a loophole. this is again why we are all fucked, because too many people cant realize what evil is and why other people matter.

now, you know what else? many people will totally denounce what i say because im not offering any answers to the problems im talking about. i wish i had the answers. i really, really wish i did. but i dont. id like to believe there even is an answer out there but im a realist and therefore i admit that the world will always be fucked, period. that being said, i still bother to write this because maybe, just maybe, someone will read this and change. again, the realist in me admits that probably wont happen either, but in the very least i might help to reinforce the thoughts of someone with good intensions and help keep them from changing negatively in the future. in closing, the worlds fucked, were all fucked, but that doesnt mean you should give in to the greedy fascist elite and become just another asshole. so if youre not an asshole, pat yourself on the back (excuse the middle school self-esteem booster but it just felt right and kind of funny too), and if you are an asshole?...fuck you, ill see you in hell (if it exists?).

allright, the first time i wrote something on here it didnt really come out the way i wanted it too and sounded really lame. well, last night something kinda pissed me off a little that is along the same lines so im gonna sorta try it again.
i really hate hearing the phrase "___ is really punk" or "___ is as punk as you can get" fuck that shit man. punks not a fucking checklist or some other system to fit into just do whatever the fuck you want, if your not hurting anyone, then just make yourself happy. i dont understand this whole vegetarian/vegan stuff at all. people who swear they love the taste of meat wont eat it because they say its cruel and that its some government/society brainwashing to make everyone eat meat and cow milk. what the fuck man, thats so fucking stupid in my opinion. i mean, do whatever makes you happy but that just sounds dumb. i like cheeseburgers, society hasnt made me think i like cheeseburgers when in fact i really dont, i just like em so piss off dammit. this whole vegetarian/vegan movement thing isnt punk at all cause its just another system. and besides that, who fucking cares whats punk. im just me and thats all. if something i like isnt punk, who the fuck cares. i just happen to like punk stuff most of the time cause thats just the way i am. but anyways, the reason to not just follow society's stupid rules isnt just because the rules are stupid, its because why the fuck should i follow some system and do everything just like all these other people in the group. following a subculture system isnt any better at all, in fact its almost worse because atleast the people in mainstream society fucking admit they are part of the system which is better than subcultures who wont admit they just belong to yet another mob with a checklist and preach about how they are individuals and not afraid to do what they want. its like all the stupid poser goth kids in high school who all dressed in black, painted their fingernails like a bunch of fucking fairies and hung out by the stairs every morning, then always made fun of preppy people because they were all the same. god dammit some people are just stupid! fucking hypocritical bullshit.

you ever fuck something up, and then cant get it out of your mind? like last night, something that couldve been real cool...nope, i fucked it up cause im just a fuck up like that. then the only thing i can fucking think of all day is that one little thing that i fucked up, which probably doesnt really matter in the long run, but im pissed off at myself so i keep thinking about it and making everything worse, which i know im doing by harping on it in my head, but it just wont go the fuck away. like what the fuck do you have to do to just be happy sometimes goddammit? some people believe in some exalting inner happiness that you just have to find the key to turn it on or something. id like to believe that, but i guess im just too damn pesimistic. like, its a cool thought, and i wish it could happen, but theres just no way. theres no inner, long lasting happiness...theres just momentary happiness. so fucking savor the moments. savor each hit of a smoke, every time your sitting around with your friends listening to some good tunes, every time you get some good fucking drugs and can forget your stupid problems, a good show and a stage dive into insanity, and most especially, savor each and every time you can really connect with someone cool, cause thats fuckin rare man. and you never know how long theyll be there, or how long it will take before you fuck up and then who knows? so savor that moment when your there and everything is good. fuck the bills and work and school and your parents and whatever else stupid shit is flying through your head. just sit there and enjoy that connection and all those moments as long as you possibly can, cause thats your only fucking chance of staying sane

so, im sitting in my politics class today, bored as always, and listening to the class discuss random bullshit in the news because we never actually do anything in that class. well they start talking about the new war bullshit and the teacher asks the class what we think. i heard a few different people blurt out responses, basically the thought was to hurry up and bomb them, them as in the people we buy our oil from of course. then they moved onto this dc shooter guy and the first person that said anything said something like hes probably muslim. jeez, im sure proud to be an american in times like these, arent you? keep in mind this class is all white and black people whos families have probably lived in america for many generations. this of course means that almost all of them are christian. i just thought it was ironic that the people who say love everyone, forgive, and all that other shit they repeat without taking to heart, want to turn around and stereotype all muslims into evil people just because SOME muslims have gone to the extreme and caused such violence in the name of all muslims. what if we were to stereotype all the christians with the extreme chrisians that have existed. the kkk is made up of only white christian males, so first off we know that christians hate black people and jews and non-catholics hate catholics because the kkk doesnt like catholics either. lets not forget ol' hitler either, also a christian responsible for a lot more innocent deaths than the muslims are right now. christians use to condone slavery also, they tried to steal the middle east in the name of god, and they are responsible for the spanish inquisition and for killing "witches" and many other countless atrocities. the taliban are just amateurs compared to christianity's violent record. but in that case, maybe its not ironic so many christians think we should just hurry up and bomb "them"

Hmm... hardcore punk band's website. Why the fuck am I writing here? Perhaps because Geoff and I just got st... somewhat in a thinking mood and I had an odd thought that really made us think hard. Now we rambled on for an hour about a whole bunch of strange crap, and I couldn't possible remember it all, but here it is...

Blame Geoff for encouraging me to write this...

I know that it is kind of hard to think about, but consider human life on this planet in the future... the WAY far off future. Assuming that mankind hasn't annihilated itself by then, consider the invention of a matter transporter... a teleporter if you will. Consider how life might be like if one could just as easily teleport to a location as drive or fly to. Imagine the possibilities. Always wanted to move into a nice home at the beach in southern California? There's no need to travel there, why, there isn't even a need to ship your luggage to move in. If you feel like treating yourself to a delicious evening meal, why don't you visit one of the fine restaurants in Italy, or a cafe in Venice? After that, have dessert in a French bakery or Greek pastry shop. You can visit any of the earth's wonders without the need for travel expense. Spend your weekend afternoon admiring the pyramids of Egypt, the Eiffel Tower or the Sistine Chapel. When you take a coffee break from work, have a nice cup of Colombian coffee from Bogotá and drink it while watching the sun rise in Australia.

Now if that wasn't enough to make you think, think about going even further... WAY further into the future. Imagine that teleporting became commonplace. People would do it to get groceries, visit a friend or go to work. Eventually places start to open up that are only accessible by teleport. No roads, no parking lots, just teleport in, do what you want, and teleport out. Imagine that time passes and this becomes the normal way to travel. Roads could be eliminated and eventually, outside access to buildings would become unnecessary. If you're going to go anywhere, you’ll just teleport there. Retailer's supplies could be teleported in. Parcels could be delivered immediately to the addressee. But what if one wanted to go on a walk for leisure? Why, tremendous sized magnificent parks could be constructed that all people could teleport to walk through and leave when they felt like a stroll. Eventually, all daily outside activities could be performed indoors, or in a select few areas specifically designed to host that activity. Eventually, the spaces between buildings would become empty and unneeded, and would be used up. Empty space doesn’t last long in a city. Imagine a residential area of a town that was a solid flat of houses one next to the other, next to the other in a sort of dense waffle pattern of continuous houses. Then when that space was exhausted, structures could be built on top of each other. Now think of this boggling thought: Imagine a future city that is only comprised of a solid mass of structures built one next to the other, one on top of the other. Imagine the entire city being one GIGANTIC apartment complex with no doors or hallways, no roads and no parking lots. Natural reserves and parks would be on the ground floor or artificially created on higher floors. Classy restaurants with an open sky view lie on the top floor. The entire structure and appearance of a city would evolve into something completely different.

Now, if that wasn't enough to make your mind twirl, think further... FURTHER into the future still. Given this vast abundance of habitable and developable space on the globe, the human population booms! A structure can be built anywhere, however deep in the stack of buildings that you want. Eventually, the boom of human population would cause the cities to expand, and over time, consume the surface land of the globe. Then, we build over the waters, consuming all of the possible surface space of the Earth. This could be sustained given sufficient technological advancements like advanced conservation of the earths resources due to a new power source's vast output, thermal boreholes for minerals, hydroponics labs for food, etc (Play Alpha Centauri and you'll know what I'm talking about). The capacity for sustaning human life on the globe becomes tremendous. Eventually, when we run out of surface area, we colonize the SKY and every cubic mile of the Earth's atmosphere is developed into buildings. Structures cover every spot on the surface of the Earth, and structures extend to the outer limits of the life supporting space above it. Imagine seeing the world as a whole viewed from space as one gigantic solid sphere of tiny structures... almost looking as if the whole sphere, the whole outer area of the earth and its atmosphere, was covered in cells. We could even reach the point where space colonies would be constructed.

Now I know that your head is about to explode, but imagine this one last creepy evolution in human consciousness. When this complete colonization of the Earth takes place, all of the structures inside would be completely regulated environmentally. No matter where a structure actually existed, it would have a nice room temperature, fresh humidity, and adequate light. ALL structures would house the same environment inside (those that weren't specifically designed otherwise, anyways), and therefore all buildings world feel the same inside to everyone. No feeling cold if you're near the north pole, no unbearable humidity if you're near the equator. Now because there is no going outside to travel, and people can go all the way to the other end of the globe as quickly as next door, people will lose their sense of location and spatial proximity on the Earth. People would not notice the difference in teleporting to a building in the African Sahvanna or a building one mile away. The proximity of structures becomes intangeable because the space in between them does not seem to exist. People will not say, "I live in an apartment in uptown New York," they will say, "I live in a New York style apartment at teleport address #92164." Neighbors will not know that they live right "next door" to each other. Physical LOCATION becomes an trivial fact of any structure in the world, so humans therefore also lose their sense of location as well! Compass directions become useless and knowledge of physical proximity worthless to all but maintenance workers and builders (and what a weird profession that outside dwelling occupation would be).

Well, crazy things can happen when my mind begins to wonder, and right when I thought of people forgetting the meaning of structural proximity, my neurons became seasick, so I stopped. It all started when Geoff and I were sm... sitting in his car thinking of how different our world might appear when we are old and how it could really become frightening. Well, only time will tell what this brief and odd time we live in brings to us. We are truly Neanderthals considering the limits of human potential, and so much can change so quickly. So people, make sure that what you do matters to the world, or to your friends, or to SOMEONE else, cause that is all you have. Our consciousness is comprised of so vastly many irrelevant and unimportant thoughts. Make sure that SOME of yours matter, and try to touch someone else with them, because that's what living truly is. Oh, and if any nerd wants to talk to me about my idea, e-mail me from the home page. why does everyone in the world feel the need to wrap everything up into a nice little package? why do we categorize everything? even, or maybe especially, in the punk rock world. theres a million different names to go with all the different styles or versions of punk. and most dont get along that well, just because they view SOME things differently. thats so fucking stupid. why cant there just be punk? a bunch of people with similar views and/or experiences, that dont want to be a number or file in some group that all thinks the same. cant having some things in common and accepting the differences be enough? not to sound like some hippie or pc junkie(more labels, im not perfect either i know) but too many people go way too far to the extremes. its like in politics, you have republicans and democrats, two distinctly different sides, but they BOTH suck! 2 choices, oh yea!

there will always be broad labels, like preps, jocks, punks, whatever but most seperate into so many stupid subcategories just to be surrounded by others who share the EXACT same thoughts on everything. its so damn hypocritical. like i said, im not perfect by any fucking means-theres lots of people i hate for lots of reasons, but i do make SOME attempt to not be closeminded or hypocritical and to be somewhat accepting.

i used to think punk was just a large group of very different people who felt like outcasts, but no hardline defining similarity other than that. just about having your own personality and hanging around with others not literally like you, but like you in their amount of uniqueness. but lately iv realized i was wrong. too many people just use punk as another stupid category with a checklist that determines whether you fit in or not. i dont consider myself a punk at all, no matter what other people may think, because it all just pisses me off too much. i mean, its one thing to only like one type of music, thats fine, but when you start singling out people for their slight differences, and hating anything and everything thats a little different, thats just some crappy nazi like type of thinking and i refuse to have anything to do with it.

i know i piss people off with things i say. like when i complain about how much rap sucks, or refer to things as "gay", not cause im a homophobe but because its slang i picked up when i was young and its just the way i talk so get the fuck over it, and i hate when poor people waste their money on trendy expensive shit they dont need just to fit in. but none of this means i hate minorities or poor people or gay people or anything. i might make fun of them for the above listed reasons but when it comes to actually interacting with them i can get along with them just fine. i dont refuse to give someone a chance just cause they like different music or have different opinions, thats bullshit. no one gets anywhere or learns anything like that. and im not gonna walk around with cries of sellout just because some band is good and appeals to lots of people so is therefor somewhat popular. fuck that stupid shit.

theres not much worse than a hypocrit who doesnt see themselves as one, or doesnt care that they are, and makes no attempt to be more accepting. sounds like certain rich people or religious fanatics but it applies to punks too. so basically, everyone stop being such assholes. not totally, cause sometimes you need to be an asshole, but stop being such assholes when it comes to stupid little bullshit.
