The Vines Biography
The Vines Biography

The Vines are your favourite era in rock and roll regardless of what that era is. They sound like an isolated adolescence spent listening to classic albums through headphones and recording the influences on a 4 track with only 3 tracks working. They made a demo so rough, exciting and brimming with potential that anyone with a sliver of taste needed a quiet sit down afterwards.
Craig Nicholls writes the songs, plays guitar and sings. He screams and whispers and boils songs down to their basic essence to incredible effect. Patrick Matthews, Ryan Griffiths and Hamish Rosser on the bass, acoustic guitar and drums respectively, walk the line between chaos and restraint. It's a heady claim, but to hear them play together can reaffirm your faith in the rock and roll.
They've listened to a lot of records and now they want to make their own. They've played few shows, but have written a lot of songs. They've recorded one album and when you hear it will sound just like The Vines.
