<L7> Donita: We have no idea where we might play in Detroit right now.
<moderator> Did you have fun performing at SXSW? good bands there with you!
<L7> Donita: We had a great time at SXSW. The lineup was really great on our show.
<moderator> excuse me, but i was wondering about the brazilian tour. Will L7 be touring brazil anytime soon?
<moderator> your movie the beauty process rocks...how long did it take to make?
<L7> Donita: I'm the only Donita here! Hopefully we'll go to Brazil in 99. Brazil's economy is **** right now so I don't know if they are bringing any bands down right now.
<moderator> wally what are your new songs like? i love freeway and mantra
<L7> Suzi: It was shot while we were on tour with Krist Novocelic' band Sweet 75 - over a couple of weeks.
<L7> Suzi: Our new songs are very rockin'. Thanks, I'm glad you like the new ones.
<moderator> can you talk anything about the new album or about the record label
<L7> Donita: We are starting our own record label called Wax Tadpole Records; we're recording the new album right now. And it rocks!
<moderator> Do you feel like you have a good relationship with your bands?
<moderator> I'm moving to NY on Dec. Do you think you'll be going to NY soon? Maybe play with the lunachicks?
<L7> Donita: This is the real Donita again! We'll be touring NY in the late summer or early fall.
<moderator> HELL7 says, Hey, Donita, I'm really sorry about that big cut-out photo of your butt on my site in 1997. I didn't mean to objectify you. I was just being silly.
<L7> Donita: I was not offended by that, but no one should see my ass!
<moderator> i was just wondering if you remembered me, im the weird little girl who wrote to you about my L7 lunch box and all hte trouble it get s me in to....any way i was wondering if i had YOUR FULL premission to castrate tommy hilifiger punks
<L7> Donita: Yes, we remember you. Castrate if you much.
<L7> Donita: Castrate if you must, I mean.
<moderator> Btw, HAPPY birthday, Donita! (my brother and i sent you a little silly "song" last year for your b-day) Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY again! and i freaking love you!
<L7> Donita: This is the real Donita again. Thank you Jennifer Ita!
<moderator> what bands might you go touring with?
<L7> Donita: We're playing the Lily Munster fair.
<moderator> How did you decide on the name Wax Tadpole ?
<L7> Suzi: Ride the Wax Tadpole is the first song on our first album. Wax as in vinyl, tadpole as in an emerging thing.
<moderator> Which do you feel is your favorite album?
<L7> Donita: All of our albums are sort of like our children; but I'm quite fond of Beauty Process, our most recent.
<moderator> Dee..hwo do you get your hair so **** blue
<L7> Dee: When my hair was blue, I used to crush blue berries with my bare feet and Donita and Suzi would have to apply it nightly but now my hair is black.
<moderator> dont you get sick of each other when your touring?
<L7> Donita: Sometimes we get sick of each other, but most of the time we sure like the company
<L7> Dee: We crack each other up.
<moderator> is Gail or dee there
<L7> Dee: Gail had to leave for Rhode Island.
<moderator> Tell me the truth, did you all ever fart on each other when you're pissed at each other in the van?
<L7> Donita: We've never farted on each other while pissed off, but once I told Dee to cup my ass and I farted in her hand.
<L7> Suzi: I pissed the band off by farting in the band once.
<moderator> What do you do first thing in the morning?
<L7> Suzi: Fart
<moderator> is it fun to throw tampons at rohdies? its sounds great....
<L7> Donita: I wouldn't know, I've never thrown a tampon at a roadie
<moderator> Please Please Please....rescue me from my dad and this country music?! Oh i'm voting that one of your songs be played at my graduation ceromony(only 9th grade blah) any suggestions?
<L7> Donita: We love country music. So sorry we're not your rescuers...but how about "Time in a Bottle"...oh wait, that wasn't us.
<L7> Donita: **** List might go good at a graduation

<L7> Donita: Yes it's Jim Croce.

<L7> Donita: To hell7 - I still have my spitcurls
<L7> Donita asks: I want to know if any of you people have checked out the Atomic Pop website and heard our two new songs?
<L7> Donita: to hell7 - Thank you for your website!
<moderator> Donita, oh, thank God you still have your spitcurls! I thought I was going to kill myself when it seemed like they were gone! I still can't get mine to work. The spit thing you showed me didn't quite work, but thanks for the tip!
<L7> Donita: My spitcurls are hard to see because I have blonde hair now. But they are there.

<L7> Donita: You probably shouldn't do that - but yes you have our permission.

<L7> Dee: YES!
<L7> Donita: Dee woke up one night and Brad Pitt was in her bedroom wearing her bra and panties.
<moderator> What future music developments do you have in store? Anything experimental or quite different from what you've been doing until now?
<L7> Suzi: Our next album is going to be a reggae opera.
<L7> Donita: We're going to call it Tommy-Mon.
<moderator> yes and yes. Oh and thanks for having invigorated UNREAL!
<L7> Donita: Cool, did you play the game.

<L7> Dee: to mention but a few...buttafucco
<moderator> How long have you been playing as a pro band?
<L7> Donita: We got paid from the start - 14 years ago - we didn't make a living at it but if you define pro as getting paid...we were pros from the start.

<L7> Suzi: We played on a Willie Nelson tribute album called Twisted Willy.

<L7> Donita: We turned 50 five years ago...so yes.
<moderator> what do you think of marilyn manson?

<L7> Donita: We already are movie stars. We appear in Jon Water's movie Serial Mom as Camel Lips.
<moderator> i dont know, satan in your movie ,said , " i never seen a monkey hand jive, but then again monkeys dont put prices on sticks and stones"
<L7> Donita: That was some of Kris Novoselic' ranting. I don't know what the hell that means.
<moderator> have you seen pecker
<L7> Donita: I liked it.
<L7> Dee: Me too.
<moderator> What are camel lips?
<L7> Donita: If you don't know, you're obviously too young to know, and shouldn't know.
<moderator> was it cool singing with Joan Jett?
<L7> Donita: That was an amazing night. We were the Blackhearts for a night. It is a treasured memory for all of us.
<moderator> any songs in the style of -El Wahtusi-- and -pattylean- in the near future? They really are a touch of class.
<L7> Donita: Thank you. That's very sweet. Our new album is going to have all kinds of stuff on there. So just you wait!
<moderator> have any fans started crying in your presence before? if so, what do you say to them?
<moderator> when is it going to be released?
<L7> Donita: In Japan and Brazil they cry at the drop of a hat. You just have to tell them to calm down and it's okay - don't be afraid.
<L7> Dee: We hope to release it at the end of the summer.
<moderator> What means "EL WATUSI"?
<L7> Donita: The Watusi was an American dance in the 1960's. El Watusi is just the name of the song.

<L7> Donita: That's a private joke that we had while recording that record. It's a secret.
<moderator> what type of guitar do you play with?
<L7> Suzi: I play with an old Gibson Melody Maker and Donita plays with Gibson Flying V's and Epiphone Flying V's.
<moderator> What's that honking sound in the background in "Bite the Wax Tadpole"? (I think it's after the first line.)

<moderator> are you aware that Circus magazine is grossly misinforming the public about you?
<L7> Dee: What are they saying?
<moderator> do you write your songs about people and stuff, or are soem of them just made up stuff?
<L7> Donita: Most of our songs are about us or people we know or things we've experienced. We're not into fantasy really. No songs about unicorns yet.
