We are going on a campaign to the northeastern part of the United States. We will do full-time door knocking, and set up personal bible studies with members of the community. We will also be working with churches and trying to fill their needs such as VBS or youth ministry. We will have Fridays and Saturdays off, and will be able to go sightseeing and even go into New York City. All living expenses are paid. We will have additional expenses like airline tickets other extras. The money we raise that we have left we will keep for our schooling at the end of the trip since we will be full-time missionaries. Most students raise $1500 to $3000. Here is all the information I have from Dr. Olbright: In 1964 a group known as the Pennsylvania Mission team spent a summer in Pennsylvania doing what they could to bring others to Christ. That summer 75 were baptized into Christ. Since that time hundreds of others have obeyed Jesus, the most in one summer being 279 in 1971. Also help has been given to start congregations in Altoona, PA; Vineland, NJ; Southside and Eastside Syracuse, NY; and E. Brunswick, NJ. Many have been brought to Christ and are still being brought to Christ through Campaigns Northeast-Southeast which is sponsored by the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ and directed by Owen D. Olbright (Harding Professor). Even if you cannot help monetarily with this mission trip, we could still very much use your prayers. We have a small group of Harding students, and we will be teaming up with some students from Freed-Hardeman University. Please pray for our schedule. We have solid campaigns: Training series ......... May 9-11 (Sylvan Hills) Jamestown, NY ........ May 31-June 19 Middletown, NY ........ June 21-July 3 Other places considering a campaign for the date ................. May 12-29 Bethlehem, PA Harrisburgh, IL If any of you are even the slightest bit interested in helping, please, please call me. I would love to answer any questions you might have. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. May He bless your steps today! In Him, Courtney Hirst, (501)279-5743 clhirst@harding.edu
