A Global Threat started in mid/late 1997 in Bangor, Maine with original members Bryan A. Pogo, Brett Threat, Westie, and Tubby Tim. Their first release was a seven inch on Crack Rock Records, Westie's label. This record was entitled, "The Kids Will Revolt Against All Authority", later shortened to "The Kids Will Revolt". In the spring of '98, 300 copies were pressed. In the winter of '98, Pete and Mike joined the band. A.G.T. then relocated from Maine to Boston, Massachusetts. There they hooked up with Mark Unseen, and his label, A.D.D. Records, who eventually helped Bryan front the band with vox. They then re-released "The Kids Will Revolt" on A.D.D.Records. 500 copies were repressed and all of those copies sold out quickly. There have been no plans to repress the album again.
Next A Global Threat released their second E.P., on A.D.D., named "What The Fuck Will Change". 1000 copies were printed and in almost no time they were all sold. The record was backed by a winter tour down south. Around this time they aquired long time friend Crusty Jonny Bon Jovi on second guitar. The tour was a bust. Not the fact that shows sucked or got cancelled but because while in Austin, Texas, they wrecked their van and had no insurance. They were about to start to break even when all of a sudden they fell into debt once again and Brett was in jail. In a drunken stupor he wandered into the wrong place at the wrong time and was taken in by Austin's finest. So A.G.T. rented a Ryder truck and drove home broke.
They proceeded to play shows when they got home and now have signed a two-record deal with G.M.M. Records. They then parted ways with original bassist Brett Threat. Crusty Jonny Bon Jovi then moved to bass. Jonny had trouble getting from Maine to Boston all the time to practice so along came Gabe Asturd formally of thePluto Gang (who A Global Threat were originally supposed to put out a split 7” with) to take over on bass. Next came a release on Step One Music out of England. The release was "What The Fuck Will Change" except this one was the full length. It had the "What The Fuck Will Change" E.P. with the exception of the "Were Not Gonna Take It" bonus track. It also included a new song, "Cause For Abortion", and 4 re-recordered songs from the first 7”, "The Kids Will Revolt".
In that time two split 7"s have been released with The End and Broken. A.G.T. has also been on a bunch of compilations and that's that.
