hawaii or bust [posted 10/16/2006]
So Jared is catching some sun. The bastard moved to Hawaii. However, once Jonny finishes school (if he ever does), T-Bird and Jonny hope to start something up again. Let's hope.

taking a break [posted 12/14/2003]
The Cynikals are on a little hiatus right now. Dogboy has left the band. And the other three have been too busy to practice. Jared and Jonny have branched out in another project called Raised Under Cyn with Curt Markey (former member of The Unraised and Down to Xero). There are no new shows scheduled. However, you can catch Jonny and Jared playing at Sound Waves this weekend, December 20. Check out the Raised Under Cyn website on the links page.
Just my luck, I update the photos on the webpage with Dogboy and he leaves the band. I tell you this band has more turnovers than the damn local bakery!

new cd [posted 6/16/2003]
The Cynikals have recorded their second CD which is titled 2 Gone and Going Strong. It contains eleven tracks with art work done by Jared again. The Cynikals have also written a couple of new songs. Check 'em out at Lori's Cafe!

show with Mary [posted 4/28/2003]
The Cynikals played an excellent show at Sound Waves last weekend. They opened up with Seventeen and ended with the ever popular "original of an original" Tainted Love. The mosh pit was in full anarchy and the music was loud and obnoxious. Among the other bands were Down To Xero who drove down from Conneticut, BGL, The Situation and the awesome and talented Mary Prankster! The Unraised reunited for the night and jammed out after separating a couple of years ago. It was one crazy night!!!

new lead guitarist [posted 4/15/2003]
The Cynikals' newest lead guitarist is John Bensing or better known as "Dogboy." He was added to the band about two weeks ago when Jonny called him up out of the blue and asked him to play. He made his debut perfomance with the band this past show at Alexanders

Jonny's got a brand new band [posted 4/9/2003]
Two summers ago Jonny did The Who's Quadrophenia with Wyomissing Summer Theatre and met Pete Beck, director and drummer, Marshall and Ben King, both guitarists. They met up recently to form a band called THE ENGINE. The name is a tribute to the drummer for The Who, Keath Moon. The nickname for his first drumset was called the engine.
They have only been together a month. They mostly play covers, mostly British invasion such as The Beatles, Kinks, The Rolling Stones. So far, they have only performed at The Clubhouse, (located on Lancaster Ave. across from V&S.) The Clubhouse is mostly a jazz place but now they host "Rock Night." "We sound pretty good," says Jonny. They are scheduled to play at Alexanders on May 24th along with The Cynikals and Throdl.

show at alexander's [posted 1/25/2003]
Last night, The Cynikals played another kick ass show at Alexander's Bar. They traded sets with Throddl. It was one hell of a turn out. They plan on playing again at Alexander's on March 7. They are also working on a Speed Metal side project.
