Most recent releases :

SADE 041 - Feedback Cowboys - Wooden Bullets - CDR (Coming from the dusty streets of Montreal come this wicked duo. Fast shooters, the Feedback Cowboys manage the guitar, theremin and analogue stuff faster than you. Expect a mix of dusty noise ambience, bluesy atmosphere , droney cold blooded spirit in a western vibe. Feel thecinematic energy of this very cool project from Motnreal!)

SADE 043 - Kolumkilli - Village at Night Under Lucent Sky - CDR (Another local export. After some very obscure self-released killer titles, Montreal's Kolumkilli (Iain McMaster) is now available for your ears. Enter a world of ethereal drones in a wide and vast sound range. Most of the sounds are made by guitar and vocals and some between. A perfect sountrack to jump in the wide open)

SADE 038 - Wapstan - Waiting for winter... - CDR (Are you fucking sick of the summer heat? Wapstan is... This new massive EP from Montreal's hypothermic drone unit was recorded under the summer heat of July 2005. This 24 minutes slab of hypothermic drones will chill you until snow will come back! STRICTLY LIMITED TO 20 COPIES, NO TRADE, NO COPIES GIVEN... SERIOUSLY!!!)

SADE 037 - Roxanne Jean Polise/Giggle The Ozone TBA split - 3"CDR (Here’s a very weird match-up Roxanne Jean Polise is one in the handful of cool new noise project we discover recently! RJP is a project from Michigan based Steev Thompson who also run the X Died En Route Y label. They are playing in across the field of loud melodic drones and abrasive noise. The track featured on this split follow both path. We like them so much that a Wapstan/Roxanne Jean Polise should see the light of day on Belgium’s Audiobot by the end of the year… In another spectrum, Giggle The Ozone is continuing the tradition of fine one man band rock’n’roll Brise-Cul put out in the past like Abstract Evil Barbie, Chapeau and Black Mayonnaise, Giggle The Ozone rock like we should do today! Playing orchestration as bizarre as well-sounding, GTO will certainly put a smile on your pathetic face! This Fine meeting is presented in full-colour fucked up art made by Giggle the Ozone mastermind Dylan Sparrow and is very limited to 50 copies! A strange journey )

SADE 034- Filthy Turd – They Are Young and Have very Beautiful Bodies -- CDR (Remember when we were still able to pretend that music was extreme, UK’s Filthy Turd come from that school and still deliver a very huge dose of extremity! He (Eeyow Karoom) plays very raw and heavy noise that will drive you insane! So insane that you’ll be addicted like I am. This is maybe one of the few noise project that make me increase the volume of my stereo during listenings! Five tracks in 40 minutes of unpleasant but addictive extreme noise. Take noise in it’s extreme definition! Music for headache! This dude ever saw Amebix live! Why don’t trust his taste for extreme?)

SADE 031- Wapstan/Envenomist-- split -- CDR (Montreal's drone beast is back with another slab of cold loudness perfect for your drone parties. This time, Wapstan explores the relativity of time and the reflexive state of coldness toward 2 hypothermic tracks. Envenomist is the your project of our friend David N. Reed of Luasa Raelon's fame. Don't worry the sound that you like in Luasa Raelon is still there, the only difference is that it is carved through the use of analogue synthesizers. The two projects fits together so well that the tension the first project give will kill you on the seond one!)

SADE 030 - VA - A Brise-Cul Sampler Compilation (A sampler comp with unreleased tracks from most of the projects that released stuff on Brise-Cul from 2001 to 2004!!! "Fans of Drone Doom like Sunn O))) and Troum should check this out . Also if your in a dark candlelite room with just headphone I know this would freak the shit out of me. Cold, Bleak and Without hope are what Wapstan creates in my head and I hope they continue on this path for yrs to come." -Absolute Zero Media

SADE 023- Oscillating Innards-- VIII -- CDR (One of the most active Unit on the West Coast will invade the North Coast with the help of Brise- Cul here. Strong of many tours and releases on the West Coast circuit, California's Oscillating Innards hooked the attention of us and we're very proud to release a full lenght of this young talented noisecrafter!) (March 2005)

"Nice work overall. I'm pleased with the focused and compact running time, and thankfully the President Bush samples are not overused at all (nor are the other similar samples that are mixed in at certain points to add contrast). So this is one of the better releases to come from this label to date. "The Draft (Anticipation)" is an absolutely awesome composition." -Aversionline

SADE 022 - SEASON OF DISCONTENT - untitled - CDR ("SEASON OF DISCONTENT was an experimental improvisational sound project that lasted from approximately 1996 to 2001. The earliest manifestation consisted of long-term friends Patrick Beck and Brian Neaville, both with early roots in the Akron, OH hardcore scene. Mike Duncan, who was a friend of Brian's, was invited to join the lineup somewhere around 1997. During its existence, improv recording sessions occured approximately once a week, along with a decent amount of live shows played in Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Akron. The project basically dissipated after running its productive course with the three members remaining close friends and pursuing their respective solo projects further.
The tracks on this cdr were recorded around 1998 and were never released, and as of this date the individual titles have mostly been forgotten after almost seven years passing. So they shall be designated as untitled. The original dat master was transferred to cdr in 2005 and submitted to Brise-Cul Records, to whom we have much appreciation for the sincere interest. -Mike Duncan 6/26/05")

SASE 021- Wapstan-- L'ivresse et le froid...-- CDR (The first EP from Wapstan after the very well acclaimed split 3" with Never Presence Forever. This one track (55 minutes) release is a long tribute to a young boy that died drunk of hypothermia (L'ivresse et le froid mean Drunkness and Coldness) in a field of snow last march while trying to get back home. That annodine event happened in the birthplace of Wapstan in La Baie in the north of Québec. This is the best Wapstan can do regarding to this event, trying to represent in the Wapstan hypothermic drone style the craziness of this event. Deliberately long, monotone and impatience indulging like a nightmare you can't endure anymore but you can't open your eyes, same as this young person possibly lived in that night of winter... Limited to 38 copies...) (may 2004)

SADE 019- Foutredieu!!!/Iversen-- split-- CDR (Foutredieu!!! share his coolness with one of Scandinavia's most eccentric noise unit. Iversen delivers concetual ambient drone with a nice force of originality. This is two part of a 29 parts noise symphony. What a crazy project... Foutredieu!!! delivers here one of his most solid performance here, a 3 track concept record dedicated to the videogame Doom. Seriously iut's one step on the Foutredieu!!!'s way for absolute coolness!) (july 2004)

SADE 018- chefkirk-- Go Vegetable!-- CDR (Heading from North Carolina, chefkirk creates minimally processed subtle noise assembled in a criminally intense way. It's our "coup de coeur" for 2004! This records is themed about the fact that Roger H. Smith is a vegetarian and plays a tribute to his favourite meal... Well, I never though that a tribute to vegetables can sound like that, but if so, Go Vegetable!) (may 2004)

SADE 017- Agit8/Cheapmachines-- The Thunder From Down Under/Failsafe- - CDR (You search for extreme harsh shit! this crazy Anglo-Saxon split will clean your appetite for construction. Pure analogue chaos and fury! After that you'll be deaf forever!!! Release Date : 01/01/05)

SADE 016- Black Mayonnaise/Chapeau-- split-- CDR (Black Mayonnaise is Ohio's famous DIY dark room sludge. Doing it since around 1992, later in 2004 Black Mayo will do their debut full lenght on Emperor Jones records , Black Mayo will also appears on Relapse comp "The Day the Machines Took Over the World". So you'll rememebr that you heard Black Mayo first in 2004 on Brise-Cul Records. And you will heard black mayo with nobody else than Chapeau. Feel lucky to be among the firsts to hear the marvelous Chapeau outside Mike of Black Mayo, me and Jorge of Cornucopia. Chapeau is noise-fi impressionist rock from somewhere in Canada, this is their first officially available to the public in general. So this is Brise-Cul's first 100% non-noise release, don't miss it... If Aversionline hated it, you know the level of goofyness is up and you'll have good time with this one...)

SADE 015- Foutredieu!!!-- Fled (How Statues Try To Get Out Of Solitude)-- CDR (Foutredieu!!!'s fourth full lenght, mmm, sorry I can't describe my music... Let's say it's dichotomic industrial noise...) (February 2004)

"For the most part this release is a pretty even balance of aggressive noise versus the calmer side of things. I of course prefer the more dynamic or solely ambient tracks, but I enjoy the fact that the harsh pieces aren't generic, nor are they so long that they get dull." -Andrew of www.aversionline.com

SADE 014- Never Presence Forever/Wapstan-- split-- 3"CDR (A very scary release on the dark ambient path of noise:
Never Presence Forever: Known to the world for the amazing 2002 album on Crionic Mind, Never Presence Forever plays a bleak, minimal mix of ambient and noise. Long, dark, indulging death industrial.
Wapstan: Performing hypothermic ambient drones. This is the first ever official release, where Wapstan emphasizes the fear of a vast, loud winter... Forget about black metal, this is real cold, neutral winter sounds...
Limited to 100 and presented in a cold minimal handmade package. True fans of the more subtle and choking side of noise should get this one...)(march 2004)

SADE 013- 40 Watt Wombs-- s/t-- CDR (This the first 40 Watt Wombs full lengt and second release after the stunning split with PCRV. What is to be expected : one of the most insane noise nightmare ever. For those who don't know, 40Watt Wombs is the 2 man band of Matt Taggart of the always growing strong PCRV from Montana. Sick raw power electronics mixed with dangerous turntable manipulation. One track, over 60 minutes of harsh noise nightmare, you should be scared as much as I am since I heard the release...) (October 2003)

"One track, "62:51:39", that runs, surprise, 62:51:39. Yep. Over an hour of experimental noise with a tendency towards the more distorted side of things, but not without a certain sense of atmosphere.(...)Nothing really stagnates for too long, though. Release Date : 01/01/05)

SADE 010- NxFxTxEx-- Delusion Nag-- CDR (There's sumthing rotten in the kingdom of Danmark... This rottenness is Iceland-born NxFxTxEx. This more than productive unit delivers here maybe his best record ever. Using his typical structures at it's best : lo-fi white noise, monolithic drones, spastic synth beats, skull draining loops and wacky ambiance. The album also feature a remix by Foutredieu!!! The dane is going stronger and this is maybe a milestone in the NxFxTxEx discography, or maybe not... But it worth the listening...) (October 2003)
